Weeks into the separatists' siege of Luhansk airport, the Ukrainian military attempts a risky plan to lift the siege and resupply their stranded comrades. Although the bid to break through rebel lines is successful, it comes at a heavy price; the following morning, rebel forces celebrate their kills.
And just three days before Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 is shot down over eastern Ukraine, rebel forces shoot down a Ukrainian military transport plane. VICE News arrives at the still-smoldering crash site as locals pick through wreckage looking for souvenirs to keep and scrap metal to sell.

We had people taking pictures with the wreackage of the Costa Concordia here in Italy for months before it was removed. The bodies of some of the dead passengers were still missing at the time.

I'm confused about the ending... The apartment was blown up by a Ukrainian bomb, but he said that apartment was a few blocks away from a rebel base. Perhaps the Ukrainians were trying to hit the base, but missed. Bombs aren't very accurate, and if you have a base close to civilians, you can't blame your opponent for there death. You should've put the base elsewhere. I'm not saying the Ukrainians were justified for attempting to bomb it, they're still at fault, but it's also the rebels fault too.
Buddy, no offence but in a giant city there's no where to go where civilians will not be near. Also that base is about 5-7 blocks from the base, that's pretty hard to be so incompetent to miss by 7 blocks!

It doesn't matter who's interest it was in. 51 other planes flew through the area on that day, mh17 was unlucky. If the rebels did it, which they probably did, it was down to incompetence.

Ok, thats it I've have had enough of this fake Republic of Donetsk and Republic of Luhansk fanfare, because they aren't even actual countries; that would require people to choose it. The people of those regions never voted, they woke up one morning to find people attacking government buildings and carrying guns. You know what the actual people of the 'Republics' are doing? Prima facia the Ukraine government forces are the prime suspects. The colours of Malaysian airlines are almost identical with the colours of Russian civil and military air transport. Identical looking planes have been used in recent weeks to transport Ukrainian refugees within Russia. The plane was off course and flying at an abnormally low altitude and about to enter Russia. If the colours of the plane could have been seen through binoculars by government forces on the ground in East Ukraine and they had the authority to fire at will, then it can only point to Ukranian government forces.
In such a scenario the separatist forces would not have fired on a Russian looking aircraft.
If it could not have been identified by a telescope or binoculars then only the Ukrainian Government would have had access to the necessary Radar facilities. They had in fact been tracking the flight all the way over Ukrainian air space.

What they did have is the technical knowledge provided to them by the Russian army. They did know how to shoot it, however they didn't know how to tell a difference between a civilian and a military plane.

One of the reasons separatists started rebellion is the extreme poverty in which they lived, which became even worse after the coup along with Ukrainian nationalistic moods. Hate causes hate and starts its long lasting circle.

No idea, but from news reports I would gather Ukraine has the advantage at this point and time because they are becoming more brutal, dropping artillery in held towns etc... But in the long run you are going to see people get angry and fight against Ukraine, so ether or right now.

Simple fact. About 90-95% of Ukraine is now in peace and trying to look into future instead of clinging on Soviet nostalgia. No one is exterminating Russians, no one is drinking Russian babies blood, etc.
Unfortunately, some local mentally sick people and Russians from Russia are terrorizing certain regions in the east. If they were not doing this, Ukraine would simply be peacefully rebuilding its economy and moving on.

Indeed, however I feel quite abit of this has to do with the education system in Ukraine, it doesn't seem to have been that good, espescially since people are so eager to tear the country apart in a pointless conflict.
