Don’t Forget Me is an underrated bop. Has my favorite Yura rap outside of Female President. It’s essentially their “goodbye” to their cute concept. In my personal canon, it’s like they’re asking/telling us not to forget them, since they’re gonna be coming back completely different (Expect was their next comeback MV).
Event though I wasn't a girl's day fan, I still remember how HUGE something was. It flipped south Korea upside down and made the group rise to the top. That dance was covered by EVERYONE from kids, idols to TV personalities. Comedians even covered it in end of year festivals

Something was my absolute fave! Just a fun fact, Minah's sister sang this song splendidly in I Can See Your Voice 4 EP6, her older sister's name is, Bang Hyunah. You should watch it. It's one of the most viral performances in ICSYV, it got 63 million in Mnet's channel, but there's an eng sub video too. Minah surprised her sister when she appeared suddenly. It's really nice. Please give it a watch. Minah is the main vocalist so she did the high ending of the chorus at 17:31 and the intro of the song, the one you asked who is she. :D

They are some of the funniest, most kind-hearted idols and while they have not had any hint of a comeback since the contract expiry, they constantly are hanging out with each other and its very clear they are very close. Some thoughts about the kprofiles stuff: DAI5Y is the fandom name because of the 5 members. Could we have changed that to D4ISY when we were 4? Nahhhhhhhhhh Yes Sojin is married and I sob every time I see the pictures. Our auntie looks so happy (they jokingly call her Imo Sojin because of her age gap) I am a thigh guy and yes, Yura should insure her legs for even more. The woman has top 10 legs in kpop history. Hyeri became incredibly popular through Reply 1988 and a viral clip from Real Men (putting female celebs through military training) where she was very cute and in pain but also struggled through and completed everything. Twinkle Twinkle is one of those songs thats of its time i think. I adore it, but yknow... yeah. Emotional attachment and all. Expect and Expectation are the same song. The title is 기대해 and is probably better as like "expect it", or anticipate it, count on it (which its translated several times as in the CC for the MV). Also my favorite track from them and the one that REALLY blew them up (Twinkle Twinkle actually charted better but Expectation really made them stars after follow ups to TT were not received as well). The vocalist you pointed out in Something is Minah, main vocal and my bias. Not at the time, but certainly nowadays by the newer generation of kpop fans shes probably one of the most underappreciated vocalists because everyone just thinks of their sexy concepts. But she's unreal. I think Ring My Bell is their best looks. Like the hair, hyeri's tan, sojin in the blonde and fountain (dear god). Nothing Lasts Forever (underrated. good electropop) 2. Don't Forget Me (synths! similar to expectation but more sweet and sentimental) 3. Blue Rain 2012 (a deep cut tbh but it's always been one of my faves. this doesn't have an mv because it's a cover of the Fin.K.L song and they did it for a project. but i promise you it is right up your alley. late 90s r&b!! Sojin's voice really shines in this one) 4. White Day (more r&b, slightly cute, great vocals) 5. Darling (retro swing) 6. Come Slowly and I Don't Mind (again, these don't have an mv but you'll love them, more goood r&b. i'll honestly be happy if you listen to them on your own time even!) 7. I Miss you (sad ballad) 8. I'll Be Yours (has a piano throughout the entire song 👌🏼 it's also their last song). AND you'll probably like both solo songs by Minah, I'm a Woman Too and 11° Unrelated, but hopefully you can check out Brown Eyed Girls one day. They are icons.

you should take a look at ring my bell's choreo for something really iconic! 🚲 i was originally a casual fan, i knew a lot of their songs but that was about it, but then i fell really in love with hyeri as an actress(and as an entertainer, and as a person), and at this point she might be one of my all time ults on all fronts, to be honest. i also independently got extremely into the song "i'll be yours", and then there was no going back for me xd~ the members are more active as actresses than as soloists nowadays (its nbd if you dont recognise them, but i'm sure you've seen at least one of them before if you watch kdramas~). bang minah, the main vocalist, has the most solo music of all of them, but its still not as many as you'd wish she had~~ recommendations.... definitely Female President, Darling and I'll Be Yours, then also Nothing Lasts Forever, Don't Forget Me, I Miss You, Hug Me Once..... and, this might be an unpopular one, but i think maybe at the end you could see Kyawooddung (i've heard it referred to as "one of the worst debuts of all time", if that sparks any curiosity) if i might also throw some bsides your way(not necessarily for reactions, theyre just great songs): Macaron, Thirsty, Telepathy, Please tell me, Look at me btw, something sweet to know: they're all still extremely good friends even if theyre not actively doing music together! yura, minah and hyeri were at sojin's wedding (they posted really cute pictures too), and they regularly hang out, they show up on vlogs, etc~
7:30 the MV was initially longer but a part was cut out after release. Dont hold me to this, but I think it was at the request of one of the members, the one at the beginning. You're only missing out on a little story bit, the cut just makes the transition sound awkward.

Was there from day 1. Day 1 as in their pre-deut flash mob performances. Soojin even followed me on Twitter from her first account. Was there for the terrible debut, member changes and their eventual successful redemption. Eventually fell out but I still come back every now and then for the nostalgia.
Yesss one of my favorites!!! Would love to see a reunion but they are very busy with acting careers. We got them all together at Sojin's wedding but would love new music . While they had success as 5 especially with Twinkle Twinkle, their songs as 4 became quite popular with many groups covering them on TV (especially Expectation and Something) and the girls getting far more appearances tied in with their budding acting careers.

i was originally a casual fan, i knew a lot of their songs but that was about it, but then i fell really in love with hyeri as an actress(and as an entertainer, and as a person), and at this point she might be one of my all time ults on all fronts, to be honest. i also independently got extremely into the song "i'll be yours", and then there was no going back for me xd~
the members are more active as actresses than as soloists nowadays (its nbd if you dont recognise them, but i'm sure you've seen at least one of them before if you watch kdramas~). bang minah, the main vocalist, has the most solo music of all of them, but its still not as many as you'd wish she had~~
recommendations.... definitely Female President, Darling and I'll Be Yours, then also Nothing Lasts Forever, Don't Forget Me, I Miss You, Hug Me Once..... and, this might be an unpopular one, but i think maybe at the end you could see Kyawooddung (i've heard it referred to as "one of the worst debuts of all time", if that sparks any curiosity)

7:30 the MV was initially longer but a part was cut out after release. Dont hold me to this, but I think it was at the request of one of the members, the one at the beginning. You're only missing out on a little story bit, the cut just makes the transition sound awkward.

Was there from day 1. Day 1 as in their pre-deut flash mob performances. Soojin even followed me on Twitter from her first account. Was there for the terrible debut, member changes and their eventual successful redemption. Eventually fell out but I still come back every now and then for the nostalgia.

Yesss one of my favorites!!! Would love to see a reunion but they are very busy with acting careers. We got them all together at Sojin's wedding but would love new music . While they had success as 5 especially with Twinkle Twinkle, their songs as 4 became quite popular with many groups covering them on TV (especially Expectation and Something) and the girls getting far more appearances tied in with their budding acting careers.

Information for you, actually the song Something was given to HYOLYN Sistar for Solo debut song. but she rejected the song because it was almost similar to Sistar Alone and the song This was given to Girls Day
