I share the opinion that the 2023 model's center console, with its more comprehensive design featuring a lower second screen and digital dials, looks superior to this one from 2024. While I appreciate the larger screen, I can't help but feel that it appears rather plain with only a prominent gear knob. It loses some of its tech and luxurious appeal. They should at least have gone with the Range Rover Sport design for the center console. Just my opinion. What do you guys think?

Prefer the earlier model interior wise. The tilting screen is nice and the 3 controls on the lower screen are useful. I also prefer as on my own car, the rotating gear lever which pops up. I think a degree of cost cutting has occurred as more expensive to produce 2 screens , one of which is powered and a gear lever that rises up.

The 2023 is better for me, interior with mechanic controls much safer and intuitive to use while driving and rear with exhaust tips looks way better. The 2024 model feels like a downgrade or some cheaper budget version.

I think the 2023 is the better looking vehicle. The taillights on the 2024 are the only part I think they got right. They are easier for other drivers to notice. However, the dual screen set up in the 2023 is what made the new Range Rovers feel so special. I LOVED my 2022. I think the 2024 was a step in the wrong direction. The grille on the 2023 is also prettier in my opinion.

RIP to the Range Rover brand
sales of Range Rover products are already diminishing because there are alot of new players in the premium luxury SUVs and even the old players are stil fierce competitors
and now with this kind of change, no body will want to buy a Range again...
those knobs for climate nd seat heating controls were part of what made the range different and unique and part of what stil made JLr fans and buyers stil love them
...removing them is like removing the character of the cars.. tell me what else make them unique? what does a range now offer thats not available in other luxury SUVs? offroading? only?
not to add that they are more expensive than their german competitors.. what extras am I getting with the extra money paid?
    RIP Range Rover

The interior on a $10000 car looks better than what Range Rover has done with Velar WTF they've just put a single tablet on the dash, why am I paying the money, I can get a very good tab at $1000 bucks and stick it on my dash. People love tactile buttons or knobs or dials or something classy that can be felt so that one can easily increase or decrease volume or increase or decrease the ac without having to look at the screen. What kind of work their research team is doing, were they high when planning an upgrade. And the exhausts on the 23 look classic they have taken away that too. I don't feel it's a velar something more like Velar lite

I really like dials and not the big screen. I find it much more distracting to be searching the screen to change everything than to have a few dials that I can reach without looking. I know this is the current craze, but the old fashioned dials are great. I have vehicles with both. Currently have 2023 disco sport and it’s OK on the interior. I do hope they work on their computer programs. The screen is balky at best, slow, and sometimes just loses it’s mind and must be shut down and restarted. But I would still like to have a Velar.

I like the clean look in the 2024 below the infotainment center. But that’s the only thing. I’ll take the 2023. I don’t like the front and rear light changes with the turn signal it’s in a blind spot where people won’t see you’re turning and ram you cause they aren’t looking on the side of your car to see that you’re turning in the rear. But the front needs the side turn signal so people can see!

  • @kayleoneill5888
    @kayleoneill5888 6 місяців тому +1

They should have kept the turn signal in the light where it was at because cars on the side can see you’re turning better, now it’s a blind spot for your turn signal. :( stupid change

No, I have the 2021 velar and I would not change over to the 2024 version. Absolutely a downgrade for the price you pay for this luxury car. The 2024 doesn’t look good at all. Range Rover is known for that look and the changes they have made isn’t worth it at all. Love my car but would look for another model and would leave the velar.

I have a 2018 R-Dynamic HSE. Car is garbage. It's an unceasing onslaught of problems. Bought it CPO from a JLR dealership in September 2020 and has, so far, had 13 unscheduled visits to the dealership and spent over 160 days (and counting) at the shop for a ludicrous numbers of issues (some of which the dealer could never fix). If you love the looks, lease, don't buy.
PS - Exhaust outlets denote the V6 engine. Always been that way.

Opted to buy a '23 over the '24 only because of the absolute mindless disaster of the i-Pad interior dashboard layout. With all the emphasis on driver safety, a driver fooling around with a touch screen that has way too many options in my mind is a recipe for a serious at-speed car accident. What stupidity is this? Fix it, and fire the bozo's who ever thought this Tesla screen was a good idea. Its NOT.
