- With everything that has been going on at home recently I've decided to break the P-1 guide up into a small series of videos to make the workload easier on myself. Part 2 with Flesh Prison as a whole uhhhhh

I understand entirely what you mean
Maybe it's because we associate it with the continuation of this game. We've got an early access project that, even though it's not finished, has provided more excitement for us than entire full releases. The first time we heard it in the demo/our first playthrough, it was the precursor to an amazing descent into hell. And we'll hear it again, and again, with every content drop, as Hakita marches this wild project forward.
In a game with such a hardcore OST, it brings a sense of calm over you that is just indescribable after slaughtering so many demons. Honestly one of the best songs in the OST.

yeah i know what you mean, i cant count how many times i just opened the game to listen to the menu, its so calming and gives you a sense of safety and happiness.
I know you been having personal issues and creative drought with this project and I thin making it a series was the perfect way to go, it gives you the ability to feel that sense of accomplishment of getting something out, and further more lets people have specific problems get to there own issue sooner. Plus at yhe end of the series you can throw it all together for a free extra video for the algorithm. I also hope that this video means that the stuff your dealing wih has eased up!

Theres now a timer under the helth bar that tells how close it is to healing
Another good tip is to not kill all of the summons. Leave one or two and then kill them when flesh prison starts healing. When all summons die and flesh prison starts healing he just summons more. However when you leave summons alive there is a short period before healing. (When they turn green) By killing them all then flesh prison is still forced to wait for the healing to start. Giving you a quick period where you can deal extra damage without having to worry about the summons.

It is the most effective tactics against eyes if used in a timely manner

I've heard horror stories about Minos Prime but the prison itself gave me thrice as much trouble just due to this. The core eject + malicious railgun is simply brilliant.
Edit: Even bigger thanks, managed to finally get the P rank on the stage using that, I'm so happy.
3:00 huh i'm feeling stupid since i never tried this i would just use the red variation of the railgun to kill 3/4 and splitshot the rest
It is easier to pull off, so it isn't too stupid.
The Nuke thing also wasn't added until the Greed update, if you were fighting it before then

In all honesty I struggle with flesh prison more than minos lol, so I'm really looking forward to that flesh prison guide!
I get you. Techincally I spent more time/restarts on Minos prime than flesh prison, but with Minos I mostly knew what I was supposed to do but struggled with actually executing it, whereas most of the time with flesh prison was spent being confused about how to actually fight it.
flesh prison isnt really explained well what you have too do but with minos he is just a harder gabriel

flesh prision for me is fairly easy but i have yet to even beat minos. i just can never get the timing right and my playstyle involves a lot of jumping

At first I thought "this trick with shooting the core eject with a malicious railgun is never gonna work in practice, it's way too hard to hit".
Then I tried it. Man am I glad I was wrong, this makes the flesh prison so much easier.
Just recently P ranked P-1 after about 2 weeks of scattered attempts. I was extremely confused with dealing with flesh prison consistently, namely when it would engage a heal, but its great to know it wasn't purely random. Overall great vid! I'm excited to see your take on the rest of the P-1 fight.

After I read that the core eject being shot in the Greed update created a greater explosion radius I have been CONSTANTLY using the ‘nuke’.
Never thought it could be so effective at taking care of the drones though! Seriously the nuke is insanely satisfying once you know where and how to execute it
I once had FP end the heal animation, summon eyes and immediatelly start healing again.

Rail nuke is a relatively new mechanic iirc, it was added in Greed update if I'm not mistaken

This video got me my p-rank on p-1, particularly the core nuke strat. I'm sure the other two videos are cool and I'm gonna go watch them but it really was the chore of trying to coin split all of the little eyeballs that was holding me back from grinding down on it. Thank you plantjesus.

It's interesting (if I'm understanding correctly) how on standard and lower, the prison will attempt to heal sooner than on violent. I'd expect it to be the other way around.
Yup, I was surprised too.
I think this is more because it summons 8 on Standard and 10 on Violent meaning it never gets the x1.5 multiplier on anything except Violent - the extra 5 seconds on the timer is just a mercy thing to make up for this
The collective time this video will save for the people watching it now and in the future is going to be ridiculous. imo this is the single hardest thing to deal with about Flesh Prison, especially if you prefer alt-coin for the Minos fight. This is a pretty reasonable trick for anyone to have unlocked P-1 to be able to pull off, even if it hadn't occurred to them, and applying it in this way will shave so much time and uncertainty from Perfect P-1 attempts/runs. At least 15-20 minutes have been added to my effective lifespan off of this. Also, now I can continue going unga with the alt-coin.

Hey, I've got a challenge for you. Play through Ultrakill, but while constantly walking backwards. It would need good spatial awareness, and it would also make many fights quite interesting to look at.

It's a good idea to leave just one summon alive before attacking, because it will stop them from summoning more spawn and it's very easy to kill the one left to cancel their heal.
I imagine the timer bar that released today would have helped explain this a little better... should've been a bit more lazy next time

you can dash to i-frame out of any self damage
I know this is old but here’s a tip when fighting flesh prison, DO NOT USE THE NAILGUN OR RAILCANNON. The flesh prison barley takes any damage from those weapons.

Thank you, very useful guide. Can you later explain how to avoid the "Die!" attack of Minos Prime?
Get him to impact into the wall, the shockwave will only affect the wall and not the floor.
The way I dodge Minos' slam is to dash to the side when he flashes (this is when he locks onto your position), and then jump right before he descends to avoid the shockwave.

The worst part to me is both how mastery of The Marksman is pretty much required and just how fucking fast the timer goes down if you deal damage so you can't even use The Screwdriver in the background. I also tried to use the Saw Launcher to get rid of the eyes but no dice either. :V
@@mammamiawhygod2091 ive p-ranked minos on both violent on brutal now and a trick to instakilling all of the eyes at once is a nuke (launch a core eject and shoot it with the malicious railcannon) but make sure to back up because getting hit with the explosion takes half of your HP
and then you can cook the timer once all of the eyes are dead with sawblades and screwdriver
dont forget to parry its blue projectiles too. it gives you health and does lots of damage

I dunno if these mechanics have changed since this video was made, but I've been having a real issue with Flesh Prison healing way, way more often than it seems like it should. I'll usually open the fight by using a magnet and some saws, before nuking as many of the eyes as I can and picking off the rest. Usually, it'll start healing before I'm done picking off the rest, and then it'll summon more eyes, before starting to heal again about 5 seconds later. I have absolutely no idea what causes it, but the insanely short time between healing phases usually means my railgun isn't off cooldown to deal with them, and coin strats can't kill the second wave of summons fast enough before the heal kicks in.
Can anybody thing why this might be? The only thing I can think of is that the saws and magnets cause FP's healing system to bug out and think it's taking more damage than it actually is, which is frustrating because the damage is good, but nowhere near as good as FP thinks it is.
You're probably putting on too much damage before taking out the eyes. The more you hurt it the faster that heal timer will go. I would wait until you nuke the eyes to start pumping damage into it.

I genuinely don't like how if you're not good at shotting the coins then this boss is way harder. Like you can p rank all the levels required without even being good at coin shotting but then this boss comes and makes it pretty much required just so you can fight one of the coolest bosses in the game. :\
i started to use the nuke just now to kill literally every healer
Bruh i hate this boss sometimes when i try to nuke the eyes it instantly heals the moment the minions spawn 💀

Yeah that was added a while after this came out. It shows you how close Flesh Prison is to healing

I HATE FLESH PRISION
Worst fucking mechanic hakita could possibly put in a boss fight. Hitted the ultraricoshot (with piercer) and and core eject+rail gun? Just shotgun swap until you win. Missed any of those two? Restart the level. I thought V2 was the worst boss fight in the game but now that I'm actually trying to p rank this on violent I'm starting to think flesh prison is very deserving of that title
