10/10 on your fishing. It is great to have a motor boat that floats again!. That advice is on. Safe could be many things. Protected... As well as no shouting or unexpected action.
So you say, don't lip a striper because it is dangerous. Is it dangerous that you don't want another hook in your hand. Or it will hurt the fish? Dangerous for whom?
Love watching your videos! Enjoyed the advice at the end- I have 3 little ones and it’s a good reminder to be present in the moment. It is too easy to get caught up in what we have to do next in this face paced world. Keep up the great work.
Nice Boat Michael, nice to see you on back on the water! That was a nice striper btw! Your advice was definitely helpful to me as I am not perfect either. Hell, were all imperfect but we can always try and be better! Thanks buddy!
Thanks, that perspective has really helped me over the last year. My wife has even told me she’s noticed a big difference in the way I treat everyone. I’m excited to get back out on the boat and get some more striper soon.
Nice to see you again! Quick question, what arm of the lake were you fishing and launching from? We are trying to learn more about that lake. We spent a few days last month at a cabin, beautiful area. Didn’t catch much, but had fun exploring. Very good video and advice at the end. Stay well.
I always enjoy your videos. I have learned from watching you fish and hopefully going to put some information to use soon. I want to try some trolling and I am currently working on a new to me boat to try this. Do you have a video on your trolling setup? Wondering how far from the weight to the planer boards ( never used boards) how far from weight to hook? Is a swivel involved to prevent line twist? I’m full of questions and have been talking to others online so I can get back on the water for some fun. Trying to be a better man, husband, father and grandfather. So amen to that.
Here is a video link to my set up. ua-cam.com/video/6-Zrq3eLKaI/v-deo.htmlsi=JPL2ThS3DItj_onz At some point, I’ll probably do a new video for my set up on the boat as well .
Come on and lip that little thing!! Not dangerous at all unless you got multiple table hooks in a plug! Bass thumb is sign of success respected by all striper fisherman 💪🏻 so so so different than how we fish for them im from Long Island New York and enjoyed learning how you guys catch them! Great video and good luck with the new boat!
Great video Michael. Congrats on the striper and I really liked the advice towards the end
Absolutely, occasionally, I like to sprinkle in a few things apart from fishing.
Congrats on the boat, Great stuff at the end.
Thanks, I appreciate it
Thanks for sharing the fishing adventure… and for the motivation to “Go Fishing!!”
Absolutely, the colder it gets the better the fishing gets for Trout and striper.

There was a treble hook in his mouth. I took it out and then liped it. I’ve had a treble hook buried in my hand before. Not something I want to repeat
I also have an older Xpress 1756VJ , love it. What model do you have? Great vid!
It’s a 2006 JBC model. I really like how wide is and stable It feels for a larger set up.
