It tastes like a salt-pepper-garlic rub with a citrusy hint of lemon and orange, and imagine that the garlic is muted enough to not give you garlic-breath. That citrus really makes it stand out, and the super-low sodium content really means you can use a ton of it. And "rub" isn't even the appropriate word here--I use this stuff on salads and anything I can now that I've tasted it. The "spicy" Dan-O's is the same thing plus cayenne peppers, meaning people like me who can only stomach cayenne and jalapeno hotness can appreciate it. I've heard that the seasoning has the taste of cumin, but I really don't see it. I put it to taste on things I eat and it really just makes them better! My wife thinks I don't like her cooking now! Ha!
My great grandmother past away on April 12th 2020,shes passed away from stage 4 brain cancer, she loved to cook and bake, everytime I saw her, she was always cooking something. Soon after she pasted away, all these amazing cooks started to pop up on my recommended section on UA-cam. What I do when I cook my brisket is near the end I wrap it in non waxed pink butcher paper and it allows the meat to still get the smoke flavor so it doesn’t dry it out and keeps the meat nice and juicy. Then I let it rest for about 2+hrs 😁
Once you wrap in butcher paper, the brisket has long taken in all the smoke it can. The paper bastes the meat with its own fat over and over, building bark. paper is the way to go!

I just bought your seasoning for the first time. I bought a three pack for myself a three pack for my two nephews each on initial taste. I’m not sure what to do with it. I’m definitely going to have to follow some of your recipes I guess I’ve never quite tasted anything like it. I wasn’t expecting more of a dry rub taste I think it’s because of the sugars and salts that I’m used too. That brisket looks like it turned out pretty good . I’m searching for a recipe for tacos.
Brisket takes practice and the better your meat is to begin with the better your end product will be. Also the better the meat, the more forgiving it'll be to "mistakes". Nice looking brisket, keep cooking!

I’m doing a 18lb wagyu brisket for my 2nd brisket ever. Bad idea? Or Great idea? We’ll find out in about 18hrs. Not using a smoker though. Just a regular charcoal grill. Any tips would be great. 💯🙌🏼🙏🏼
