at this point, he probably knew rachel had cancer and was going to die. "now that you've found it, it's gone." this performance destroyed me once again.
Can someone describe what happened here? People saying he crying because of Rachel. I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary in this video besides the minor interruption in the middle which I couldn’t even tell what for, I think it was someone in the audience fainted?
it’s really sad cause thom writes music about sadness and anxiety for decades but you never see him cry or get too much deep in the feelings, this had to be very stressful
I respect Thom's music so very much it's ridiculous and to see him so emotional makes me emotional. I feel like when people write from deep experience and from their heart like Thom does, they really connect with their audience and fans on a more personal level, leading the followers of his music to feel like they know him without ever meeting him. Radiohead's songs create a kind of catharsis, they convey an emotion with the sounscapes and lyrics, when you feel a ciertain way, there may be a radiohead song that fits perfectly with how you feel, and it's like you're being fully understood by people you've never met and that you aren't alone after all in feeling that way. If I were Thom I think I would feel uncomfortable having so many people know so much about me when I know nothing about them, being surrounded by this one-way relationship. But as a fan, the music makes my life so much better and makes a bad mood or even a bad period in my life sound beautiful.
That felt cinematic. Like the cheers after the song faded into white noise or a low frequency hum in his head, a complete shutdown which was necessary in order for him to process his thoughts
Ah man, this just smacked me right in the feels. You could see that he was absolutely devastated towards the end. I am sure the crowd adulation was taking it out of him somewhat as well. RIP Rachel.
It seems like the "you'll go to hell" line really messed with him... he was going through the song normally and then it took on a lot more meaning after being reminded of death and afterlife.
yeah I don't how I never heard of this until now but, this is tough to watch, I literally said 'aww' and teared up last night, probably my first aww for any male over 12 yrs old I can ever remember but, no one wants to see their heroes in pain. it kind of reminds me of poor David Bowie getting that sucker thrown in his eye on the same damn tour where he ended up having a heart attack on stage. just thank god Thom he survived this time of his life and has found happiness again, there's a good lesson in that for all of us.
I'm torn appart between the joy of having lived such a special moment (the fail, Thom's emotion) and the fustration of the missed climax when the song was so perfectly performed...
Jeez this breaks my heart, he was probably also upset that he had to stop such an emotional song as he so loves perfection. That on top of the woman fainting and the general emotionalness of things with Rachel.
Algorym sent me here after I posted my version of "How to disappear completely" On my channel ...That song always brings me to tears when I perform it. Now I won't feel so self concious when the tears come in front of audiences. Thanks Tom

Ata Maden maybe the guy fainting when he stopped the show reminded him of her fainting
You wanna say he says to his wife "you go to hell"?
@@michaelistoma8356 maybe who knows and its ex
@@darkmou2431 no, this is stupid.
Nude was written in the 90s, thome was just wating for the right moment to play it. It’s definitely not about his wifes cancer
Awww...Thom. I think he really needed a hug after that.

Haha good spot! That was probably my mate who was next to me, we play the guess-the-song-before-it-kicks-in game
He lost himself, for a minute there.

Y muy hermoso como lo describe ésta persona aquí...

holy shit - he really is crying after the song ends. it must've really scared him. (it would scare me too)
It's really sad seeing Thom like this. I think he felt like he could help this person who fainted but he can't do the same to his ex-wife.
It seems like the "you'll go to hell" line really messed with him... he was going through the song normally and then it took on a lot more meaning after being reminded of death and afterlife.

OMG So emotional. I love you so much Thom. Breaks my heart to see him cry.

But, do you realize what Thom actually did ? He was very scared about the person who collapsed, you have to get a big heart for doing this !
@pablobuzzcut and to add onto that he most likely knew his wife of over 20 years had cancer and was going to pass
This made me tear up. It’s nice to see him in a better place today, I hope to see him live one day
Guys of the band astonished, watching Thom, awhile he is lost into himself. I can feel his pain...
i cry together with Thom. i dont know why
I can feel him. I can feel this.
thom is so sweet, this is the second concert i've seen him help someone now
