I've been waiting forever for a good lesson on this song to come out, and finally, the best teacher on UA-cam comes out with one. Thank you Carl. I can't wait to dig into this one.
Great Lessons Carl Thank You For All You Do For Us Guitarist. Your The Best Guitar Teacher On UA-cam In My Opinion & I've Learned So Much From Carl. Please Keep Our Educational Lessons Of Carl An Other Teachers On UA-cam. Learning Guitar Hasn't Ever Hurt Anyone UA-cam. Please Keep This Type Of Content On UA-cam.
Carl! That was outrageous! 🤯 ... "We got through it." 🥹 Thank you for taking us along this wild ride & tackling this beast. Like always Sensei, you're the 🐐. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great lesson. I saw Molly Hatchett in the late 70s at potsdam state college in new York.my older sis took me i was maybe 13. You are correct three guitar players going nuts. My ears are still ringing. Been a guitar player every since. Thank you for your time with this boogie woogie monster.
One of my all-time favorites Carl! Southern rock is such a killer genre, and I'd love to see you teach more of it. Most southern bands have at least 3 guitarists going at once, so I get the effort it takes into making a lesson for it. You did awesome man, as you always do. Your academy is the reason I can even play music. If anyone is considering signing up, do it! No matter your skill level, you can always find something to help practice or improve through Carl's program.
My dear Carl, when I re-started the guitar in my adult life I distinctly remember that, like 10 years ago, I was following some of your teachings, armed only with vague memories of chords I played as a child and the wish to become a passable guitar player. I vividly remember the Freebird Solo video, for example, with which I spent hours. Now that I managed to acquire some proficiency you come out with this absolute banger of a song, reminding me of the help you were on my journey which led to playing in a band, with a trio and doing wedding things for church. I literally couldn't have done it without you, you were an inspiration, you were mostly right when other lessons were clearly sounding wrong and you deserve so many good things coming your way lured in by Karma. Sinerely, Thank You! Matthias
Another epic lesson from one of the best decades in guitar music - thanks Carl! Take your playing to highest level by joining Carl's Academy and learn from the best there is! Unparalleled courses in guitar technique in all genres - something for everyone!
I grew up in FL and appreciate you keeping the Southern Rock legacy alive with great tutorials. I saw Molly Hatchet live back in 80s and they put on a great show. Dave Hlubek and company don’t get a lot of name recognition but they did great stuff!
Awesome lesson Carl, thank you! This is truly one of the greatest southern rock anthems of all time I saw them in '79 and then many years later had the pleasure of hanging out with Banner Thomas (RIP) and playing and singing live with him and Big Engine several times. 🤘🏻😎🎸
Great band. Probably one of the hardest working band in the late 70s and early 80s. Seemed like they were playing every week down at the Hollywood Sportatorium in SFL. Got to see them live a bunch of times. They played with ZZ-Top a lot back then. Great show!
You my favorite guitar teacher learnt so much from your channel busy with Metallica seek solo part loving it stared with your mm beautiful people thanks again Carl you Rock 🤘
My first concert, sitting there with my dad and his friends. Georgia Satellites, Molly Hatchet and Charlie Daniels, that night set me on my musical path
Carl, I NEED you to do a tutorial on the guitar solo by Prince for “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at the Rock and Roll hall of fame. lol. It’s Iconic and one of my favorite solos and there doesn’t seem to be many good lessons on it that I’ve seen. Pretty please! 😂
I remember back in late 90s trying and I say trying to teach this to a student and his dad and I remember it being a nightmare to get all the parts and the feel of the song.
1st solo: Dave Hlubek. 2nd: Duane Roland. Dave, Duane, and Steve Holland play three part on the studio version. Live it is just Dave and Duane with Steve keeping the rhythm part going.
yo can you please do a tutorial on the bleeding by five finger death punch. You are such a good person to learn from and i would love it if you did this song for me to play. thank you
Hey Carl, I appreciate this one. A forgotten band. I’d love a lesson on their version of Dreams. I noticed you’re playing a Les Paul lately. Do I remember you saying in a recent lesson you don’t like playing the Les Paul?
Thanks. Always loved this song, but could not learn it by myself (the 3 guitars double leads harmonized licks). In 2024 the song is rather obscure as far as finding tutorials.

Saw them in 1983. Danny Joe Brown’s unique voice, his charisma and 3 guitars and a bass great show. RIP DJB.
Growing up in the south back in the mid 80s, you knew you were ready to play with the big boys when you learned this song.
