My heart and prayers go out to all the members and family of the firemen. Having been in Charleston, SC when the Sofa Super Store burned and we lost 9 firemen that day. It is heartbreaking when any fireperson is injured/killed.
My deepest sympathies go to the wife and family of Trevor Brown. I pray that all the injured have a full recovery. Thank God the occupants of the house were able to escape. Thanks to everyone who assisted in this terrible event. May God bless you and protect you continually.
So sorry for The Fallen Firefighter, deepest Condolences to his Family and Loved Ones. ( i had no idea that households can have a exterior propane tank that size to heat etc. their homes.)
Thoughts and prayers to the homeowners for their lost home and some of their pets, to the family who lost their brave firefighter, and to the 9 others firefighters injured during this incident.

Burying propane tanks is a really, really BAD idea. And THIS is why. We need to know if this tank was the proper distance from the home/basement, and if it was a properly permitted installation. Were maintainence and testing done per code requirements? Let's start there.
Propane gas tank needs to have access to air in order to keep it from exploding. Someone is going to get sued whoever puts the tank underground. "This is ILLEGAL" and every contractors should know that.
Oh noooo. Lost firefighters? That debris field is.....horrifying. No wonder they were digging so frantically. Burn injuries are no joke. My heart goes out to their families.
Looks like the gas leak followed the under ground pipe into the house but why would anyone go into a gas filled house thats a bomb waiting for a spark. Why wasn’t the gas shut off at the tank and a robot gas detector deployed?
The first thing that should be done is cut all power to any residence that is determined to have any type of gas leak...this was preventable and should not have occured.
@@peterbonaccorsi3445 Me? Probably not. Combustion requires 3 things: Fuel, Oxygen, & an ignition source. Just like the engine in a car. It certainly had fuel. I don't think the area could be deprived of oxygen like putting a lid on a skillet grease fire. That leaves source ignition.
🙏❤ so sad i was thinking gas leak because this same thing occured in pa i think few months Bge need to check for gas leaks monthly we pay alot for it please check it to save innocent people lives
I wonder why you got a call about gas leak and you aren't taking care of this matter before sending fire fighters to open the door and get inside the house, this accident is preventable. We already know when we have gas leak in the house, it will explode even we turn the lights on! So sad!😢

From a Retired Fire Sr. Captain here in Central Georgia rest easy brother!
Propane can be a wicked mistress. Hank Hill knew that. He may have been a cartoon but he was right.

Hank Hill was usually right.

Sending my deepest condolences to the family of Trevor Brown🙏 Wishing a full recovery to all the firefighters involved 🇨🇦
Man it’s crazy seeing it in person, it is leveled…
So sorry for the loss of a firefighter. May they find peace during this time. God bless all.
I’m praying for my brothers and happy to see the respect for volunteer firefighters as most career departments have no respect for the volunteers

Is that code in VA? Here in NC, propane tanks are buried underground with the relief valve open to air.
GA here. Our tank is underground.
Underground LP tanks? Was there an exterior shut off?

so was there a basement under the house that they were refering as a crater or did the propane cause that crater
I am so sorry. 😢

Sounds like common sense to me . . . SOURCES OF IGNITION.
How do you feel for not being there to tell them?
Are you aware switching a breaker causes a spark?
"IF ITS ON, LEAVE IT ON"
is the basic rule.
The real question is how did heat get to an underground LP tank?

May Trevor Brown RIP and love to his family
Propane tank wow prayers to the fighter and his family 😥
Propane tank has to be 500 feet from a home here in m county
That's impossible for most properties. You would need 2-3 acres minimum to get that setback.
20' in my area.

We send all this money out to Ukraine and Israel and illegal immigrants, but we can take care of our own infrastructure. Prayers to everyone involved
May he rest in peace. Pray.
Propane? Or natural gas I’m not sure of the difference
Too many things can go wrong with natural gas cause it’s piped in from the city no thank you no way no how
No that means someone is lying
@lucilemcgregor propane is a liquid and gas is not
Similar, natural gas piped in from street main. Propane in tank for each residence.
Explain the smoke before the Kaboom.
Never saw a propane tank underground 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
God be with the family of the fallen firefighter. What's with the white lady that came in late and just seems out of sorts.
They didn't have one gear and scba

How many gallon was this propane tank? Was the tank in the basement or outside the house?
500 gallons underground
