Thanks for the awesome interview. I heard KIX with my friends in Mexico City back in 1983, and became fans for life. Saw them live at The Whisky A Go Go twice since 2014. They rock hard live!
That's awesome!! I only got to see them live once, and was blown away. Interviewed them twice, and they were so down to earth and fun, just as they are on stage :-)
they are one of my faves! Steve is hilarious, but he's also an incredible singer which sometimes gets overlooked! The whole band is underrated in my opinion
Steve was AWESOME and genuinely funny and fun - both in person and on stage - he's very genuine, and so smart. Mark, the bass player, was also amazing, both playing, and in conversation - he's a big RUSH fan like me and actually has his own RUSH tribute band called Sun Dogs, they play quite a bit
Awesome Interviewer, I have the feeling that KIX can be a leading force of the resurgence of Hard Rock and finally get the recognition and success they deserve.. LOVE KIX! ... one of the coolest bands EVER!
Man, I would love to see that! I saw this band a lot in the 80s, as I was a bouncer at the Bayou in Georgetown where they played a lot, not to metnion them opening up for some big bands aroound the DC Area. They deserve so much more.
I know this is an old interview now, but kix is one of my favorites from the 80s, Steve's voice is amazing! And he still has it. I know they are playing their last shows this year, ready to retire. Im sad about that but i understand why. Such an amazing band live, just pure rock, all real. I wish they were playing near me
I heard about the retirement too, and was so sad! They are one of the best live bands, even after 40 years, and I agree, Steve is still incredible! I understand their reasons, but they will be very missed by the fans. I wish them the best as they enjoy the rest of their lives.
@Cathy Rankin thanks for the response! Yea, I will miss them for sure. They never got the credit they deserved imo. But I will continue to play and love their songs. Keep rockin'' cathy!
My God, the after parties back in the late 80's were insane. People would buy tickets to the shows in my town well in advance because they would exceed capacity at the big club (The Switch). Those shows were so much fun. And that last album (Rock Your Face Off) is just dynamite. Brian told me how the guitar production was done, which was not at all what I would have expected. Great guys, great live band. I've been a huge fan since at least 1985.
So honest & realistic. Been digging these guys lately, never into them much, but I heard Cold Blood on the radio one day & realized I need to check out more of their stuff. They haven’t disappointed 👍🏻👍🏻
This girl is so gorgeous, I don’t know if I could concentrate on anything while being interviewed by her. But I saw her interview with Winger, she’s a singer herself, and her knowledge of musicianship and the rock genre is different from the typical interviewer. But that outfit she’s wearing, my goodness ! Beautiful !
Kix fan since 1981, cannot believe it. They are the BEST rock band ever! Great interview.
Thanks for watching - great band and great guys in person, too!

Saw in 2022 and they sounded great. Great energy. Lots of fun. Thank you. YURRRR WELCOMMMMM
Always loved this band!!!
they are ALWAYS great live!
Saw them 6/1/2019 in Hot Springs Arkansas. They were Great! Steve is a riot.

Saw Kix live multiple times at Hammerjacks in Baltimore. Always Rocked the house live. Loved it, miss it. Thanks guys!!!!!

I agree - they are so underrated, and I talked to them about that at length.

Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience! They really are great guys in person, very humble, down to earth and great humor!

Greatest frontman ever !!!
After David Lee Roth hell yeah! I agree.

LOL thank you! I appreciate the kind words. I might try wearing glasses and a turtleneck in my next interview just to see how people react ;-)
@@CathyRankinEntertainment no no please don't do that LOL
@@rmp3648 LOL - awww thanks :-)
I felt badly for John Waite in your interview with him. He was trying hard not to look down at your sumptuous decolletage.
Saw Kix back in Dayton Ohio around 88-89. They opened for Ratt and were awesome!!
Yeah, they are highly underrated - GREAT live band!
when I was in high school I saved my money to buy a CD player.( $150 in 1990?) the first CD I bought was KIX!!! KIX is awesome!
Been in love with KIX since Chocolate took me out of the crowd in Knoxville TN. 88-89
Damn Cathy! Loving your look!
Thank God for hot American rocker chicks... KIX rocks
LOL Thanks
Damn you look GREAT in that yellow top it kept me distracted the whole time
Hot interviewer😍
Everyone in the band seems to have a nickname , how about Steve “Badass” Whiteman !!!
I thought the same thing! LOL
Maryland.
Kix was a great band. The girl should also give Alice In Chains and Pantera a listen if she hasn’t already!!
Love Pantera!
I'd love a squeeze of those Jugs. KIX great Band, but I was only into their 2-3 songs back in the day. Talent doesn't Always make you a Success!
Did they hook up w/Cathy?
No because they're professional and married, and so am I.
chick is a smoke show
