    Hello Steve. It is a great tutorial, thanks. My question... is it possible, that with a click on a JSON Button to open a multiple Textfield as an input-field? The Content from this button should than save the data to the metadata (just a text input for one column).
    Thank you

    Hi Steve, thank you for your excellent free resources here, much appreciated! I like the Quick Edit button, but how do you stop it from populating as an entry field in the pane that comes out?

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  11 місяців тому

      Thanks so much!! You should be able to hide those fields on the details pane. If you scroll to the bottom of it, you'll see an option to choose which fields appear.

    Hi Steve, This is great. Is it possible to embed an action button on a SharePoint page to trigger a Power Automate flow directly from the page or through an app? or is there a way to get the current page URL? Thank you.

      @stevecorey365  27 днів тому

      I believe the action buttons will render as expected if you use the List or Document Library web parts. That's the easiest way to get it onto a page without creating a web part with SPFx

    Hi Steve, thank you so much for the video and help with this.
    Is there a way to condition a button. I mean just show the delete button to the creator of the item as an example. In this way not anyone can delete the item in the list.

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  7 місяців тому +1

      Absolutely! You can use an expression to look at the current user vs the creator of the item and set the CSS Display property accordingly.

    Im scratching my head now for a week to get something similar working... I want a action button but it should copy a specific cell into my clipboard. Is this even possible? best regards!

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  7 місяців тому +1

      I've seen that behavior before in M365, so I know it's technically possible. It's very likely, however, that it's not possible with just JSON formatting. You may need full SPFx development to be able to execute JavaScript to make that clipboard copy possible.

    This is great stuff. I build an unzip solution like you have in Windows. Just click the flow Icon, which is only available when it's indeed a zip file and Power Automate unzips the file in the same location in a folder named like the zip file. Cool huh?

    This might be a bit off the subject. I have list to track software and I want it to send an email 30 days before the software expires. Any idea how I could do that?

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  Рік тому

      Power Automate can do that! Create a scheduled flow to check for upcoming expirations

    Can those icons be resized in the JSON? They look a little big.

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  Рік тому

      Absolutely! You can change the CSS properties in the JSON to tweak the size, etc...

      @@stevecorey365 how would I reduce the size of the edit icon, for example? Thanks!

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  Рік тому +2

      The icons are treated like a font, so you can update the JSON like this to make the icon smaller:
      {
      "elmType": "span",
      "attributes": {
      "iconName": "Delete",
      "class": "ms-font-xxl"
      },
      "style": {
      "font-size": "12pt"
      }
      }

    Can You add a button that will print the list item window? That looks like the layout on screen, not one long list?

    • @stevecorey365
      @stevecorey365  5 місяців тому

      I think that would require javascript, and not just JSON formatting.
