figured it out. I switched from mailto: since it was trying to open the desktop app. Would need to set outlook on the web as the default mail client for this to work. If not, you have to queue the mail with href, and that sends and receives as plain text.

There could be several reasons. For one, make sure the web parts are connected to each other. Also, make sure you've got the managed props you're using for filters actually selected as Selected Properties in the search results web part. Lastly, hop into developer tools to make sure you're getting the data returned to you in those managed properties. You can use the Network tab to see the "postquery" that's sent, which is the actual search query and response from SharePoint.

That's entirely up to you. I never liked Cortana 🤣

I'm finding that when I get into deep details such as my investments. ChatGPT gets into much more details, along with taking into consideration all the information in the chat. In copilot, I have to keep repeating myself to take the above information into consideration. It's very frustrating. Copilot also disregards some information completely. I hold no preference for any tool, but so far Chatgpt has been working much better.

Did you also do the admin consent on those permissions? My app reg has those 2 permissions you named, and also TermStore.ReadWrite.All (I don't think this is needed, but it's in there anyway)

@@stevecorey365I encountered the same error, which turned out to be a classic case of user error on my part. I had been incorrectly placing quotes around the -ClientId parameter. Although this didn’t throw an immediate error when connecting (likely because it defaulted to my interactive account instead of the app registration), it caused an “Access Denied” error about halfway through the process invoking the template. Removing the quotes around the ClientId GUID resolved the issue for me.

Yes, PnP PowerShell is an additional install. As for the upgrade, I just haven't gotten around to it. I probably should get it over with, right??? 🤣

If you don't see the property listed, you can always go to the Import/Export screen in the web part properties. Using that option, you'll see all the selected properties you have configured, and can add more that way. I do it all the time!

@@bkim518 Check to see if company name is populated in user profiles. If so, just map a managed property (if needed) to that user profile property.

That's actually a really great idea, but it's not currently possible using SharePoint out-of-the-box. I think you can do this with custom development, though.

Thanks so much Gavin!! Great to hear from you. The restricted view permission level isn't really that common of a thing to use, to be honest. It doesn't always show up either from what I heard. A custom permission level would be more reliable than these "auto generated" permission levels.

Fair point! The extra cost, in my opinion, is due to AI being involved, which takes more resources than "normal" SharePoint.

I understand what you mean, however I'm hearing a lot of questions from customers like "How do I get Copilot to do X or Y". They think that just because Copilot is AI, it can handle or automate any scenario. That's where the disillusionment begins with Copilot, but it does offer a great opportunity to point them at other AI solutions from Microsoft that may suit those needs. In this case, this addresses 2 different needs at once: Automating metadata extraction as well as leveraging AI in a manageable (affordable) way.

Well you've got the Microsoft Search bar at the top of lists. Other than that, you cannot add web parts to the list interface (or page).

I think you'll lose critical functionality considering you won't have the search box. Give it a try, though. People find solutions like this through trial and error, and sometimes brute force 😊

Because once I added the BaseOfficeLocation filter (which is how we connected the verticals.value expression), it eliminated all results that didn't have a value in that field. I had a bunch of test users on that tenant that didn't have a value, leaving 17 users total that DID have a value. Make sense?

@@efmchale Now that you mention it, I saw that too awhile back. According to the documentation, you can choose one or the other. This may be temporary, but for the time being I guess you'll have to set it to 100.

Thanks so much!!! Dynamic groups are part of Azure's Entra ID. Honestly, I don't think I could do it justice by covering it. I fumble through it whenever I create one in my own tenant. For customers, I let the Azure experts do it for me 🤣

There's an API available, so you should be able to manage M365 Backup via API calls.

I think I understand what you're asking. You can hide the selection column (the checkboxes themselves) with the hideSelection JSON attribute.

@@stevecorey365 Hi Steve, thank you for your quick reply. I did try that, but then it won't let me make a selection. I have a list of categories, when i select the category, the other webpart displays all the pages that are in that category. If i do hideselection true, then i have nowhere to click to select the category. I tried in the view setting unticking Allow individual item checkboxes, but it gives me the same result. It used to work in the past but does not seem to work now.

No, the backups are kept within the "Microsoft 365 data trust boundary" according to Microsoft. I don't believe Azure is inside that boundary. In any case, it's not a location you can access directly. It's accessible only via the M365 Backup interface and via its APIs.

Just for billing. Azure has the billing model that M365 Backup needs. The M365 Admin Center is better for more flat-rate types of billing, but not consumption-based billing.

Yes, and I did that in the video as well. The user won't have access, but it'll be shared with them. Once RAC is removed that user would have access, though.

What about the situation where RAC is used as a temporary measure to allow for proper permissions to be applied?
