Dude. This vid is a great start of my day off with the wife off to work . Going to fly my Nazgul all day trying to get S turns right. Thought I was the only one who flew with a low camera angle. Fly on brother, you're an inspiration.
About 20 degrees right now with a insta360go, normally 25-30. The 1.8 lens helps a lot for being able to run a lower, or higher camera angle. I started with 2.5, and when I got a camera with a 1.8 I hated it to begin with, made gaps look so small, but it's just what your used to flying, so now I want to try the 1.66 mm lens. Probably run 0 angle, and still able to race, lol
That's a low tilt but that also explains (to me at least) why your yaw tricks (and rolls) are so good. Also, I just tested 1950kv on 6s and you get quite a speed by default. So it seems to me, you don't need that tilt to increase speed. Good talk and great flight. Liked it as always.
I agree. Especially when you are flying the low angle is an advantage. Ive learned that the hard way when i go into dense forest and dont change it low lol. Its much easier to fly slow and see with low angle. I think you confirmed what I already felt. Id be better off with low angle unless Im in the mood to destroy a quad or race insane. Love the stick cam keep up the good work!!
Sweet setup. Thanks for sharing your view on camera angles. I tried higher camera tilt but can't get used to it and don't like the feel of anything higher than 20 to 25 deg.
@@andreaboneschi i just recently switched to props out to see how i like it. I know there are some issues if you're in turtle mode getting gunk flung into the camera but i don't plan on using that much. I do fly through stuff a bit so I'm curious as to how everything will react with out vs in.
@@TheDro I don’t have issues after turtle mode, even if the cam is a bit dirty I normally fly back to check the props and I can clean it. The downside is the grass into the FC if I don’t disarm in time when landing

(and the tilt a bit around 20°) ^^, peace
I run 25° exactly, and I've found it's not bad at all for typical freestyle. I went to an actual professional race a month or so ago, and I was obviously way too slow. there were DRL pilots with like 90° tilt 😂 (not literally, but definitely some extreme amount) when I race in the future, I'm definitely gonna try something more like 40 or so. just to maybe keep up
I love your videos! Something I don’t understand yet and maybe could be a good topic for one of your next videos is how pilots like you cane make sharp turns. I don’t know if you get what I mean. An example is at 3:22 minutes in this video, it is not the sharpest and the tightest I’ve seen from you though, I mean that there are example more evident in other video. Thanks in advance, Edoardo from Italy.
Hey man, just curious about your controller setup. It seems like you have roll and pitch on the left stick, and throttle and yaw on the right stick. Is that correct? Or am I mistaking yaw for roll? How difficult was it to setup your controller that way? I've been thinking of getting into FPV but I feel like I'm the only person who prefers roll/pitch on the left stick lol
Very interesting video, I fly 30°, pretty new to the hobby. Having a blast learning to fly. I'd be interested in a video showing the difference between high and low camera angles. Happy flying. 🤓
What I don’t get is how you’re able to get up to and maintain those speeds with such a low camera tilt, you and Cricket both seem to be able to push the thing faster than the tilt would allow. I would imagine it’s a combo of motor kv with some creative inertia handling but maybe you could fill me in? I prefer running a lower tilt most of the time but would love some advice on how to step it up and get that chop chop ish going.
can you show me how to do a rewind? I love watching you fly and I've been trying to learn new tricks and how to "flow" lines. I've always just flew and done what comes naturally, but here lately I've been wanting to do my first edit and you make it look easy. I digress though, I've been working on a rewind and I can't get the throttle right and I either crash or bail when I'm in the blind part of the maneuver. I have been "framing" subjects like you showed me in one of your last videos. Thanks
That was sweet ride til the end, I'm wanting to build my own drone, what would be your recommendations on a mother board, frame and all? im only use to flying bugs drone 3, 4 and 5
Another great topic. Thanks for sharing. Here I’m now down to 15, and trying to figure out the best gopro angle to go with that. 20 for now. I think a difference of 5 degrees is ok. Will try a 10 degree difference as well to compare. Any thoughts on optimal gopro angle? Inspiring when you pros share info like this. 👍🏻
You are still able to get good speed with the low angle. Or is that because you are using momentum from throttle moves. Either way I'd never guess 15-20.
Hey Vik great video like always!! Less likely to get propwash moving forward with props in, instead you have to watch sideways movements more. Props out gives opposite.
