I would absolutely want my daughter to look up to these ladies. The healthiest and most wholesome examples of girl power. Cute/beautiful but kick-ass. Write and produce their own music, not afraid to be themselves, However strange and quirky their personalities may be. Super hard-working, always striving to improve themselves and perform in a way to exceed their fans’ expectations. Just amazing musicians despite all of them starting from different points in terms of their music journey.

They are NOT the same genre or style as Babymetal. They are a straight up band. The entire band. Babymetal are a charismatic performance act with a professionally contracted backing band. Apples and oranges. Both groups fantastic performers.
I only put their music in the same genre, if you looked up Japanese girl metal bands they both come up. I can totally appreciate the fact that Band-Maid plays their own instruments, this puts them miles above Babymetal. It takes serious hard work and discipline for the babymetal girls to do what they do, and Su-Metal is a fantastic singer/dancer. There is also no doubt the backing musicians are top-notch. Whenever people react to BabyMetal and Band Maid, the conversation will eventually get around to comparing the two. I love them both, but cannot compare them musically because they are two completely different entities. I can explain the difference between them though. Band Maid is simply the best rock band on the planet today. BabyMetal is something more, a state of mind, an unstoppable movement, and a force for good. It was BabyMetal that led me to Band Maid, and to Wagakki Band, and to Doll$Boxx, Sakura Gakuin, Sabaton, and the Hu Band.
we can definitely see how the two would be compared. but you may be right it would be like trying to compare metallica with linkin park. they may sound similar musically, their songs are quite different. Thanks for the comment.

You found the best Rock n Roll band in the world!! For your girls; MISA (bass), Akane (drums) and Kanami (lead guitar)were all playing piano at 6 years old. MISA and Akane went to the Tokyo of Music, think Juilliard. Kanami has degrees in Economics and Marketing. Miku (rhythm Guitar) was in Jpop prior to founding Band-Maid. Saiki has sung all her life and began professional vocal training at 14 year old. Kanami writes the music, Miku writes the lyrics, everyone works together in the arrangements and production. In 2019 they sold-out 5 shows in 3 cities in the US and were scheduled in July 2020 to perform at a major rock festival in Ohio. Welcome Everyone BE SAFE sheltering California

Your crew there is very good. Watch out, they may take over. You should try Band-Maid's "Rinne" (Reincarnation) which is very hard and also try one of their softer songs "Daydreaming". And of course check out their live performances such as "Domination" or "Choose Me". This is not a studio-only band. They also have a side-project, Band-Maiko, which started out as an April Fools joke. They dress up as apprentice geishas (a maiko is an apprentice geisha). The Band-Maiko song "Gion Cho" has English subtitles. The lead guitarist, Kanami, is their chief song composer and the rhythm guitarist and 2nd vocalist, Miku, is their chief lyricist. They have two all English songs but as necomeko warned "Don't Let Me Down" has adult lyrics and "Dragon Cries" has some disturbing imagery of pollution, war, poverty, and dead animals.

I've been a fan of BAND-MAID since 2014. As your older daugher pointed out, they make songs and play instruments themselves with no back-stage musicians and auto-tuners or lip-sync so forth and so on. Whatever the genre is, the rock should be like this? I don't like, rather hate music that was prodeced by someone else but not band members. BTW, I recommend you 'Domination Live' on St. Valentaine's day in 2020 at Line Cube Shibuya, Tokyo. Tons of youtubers react the song. The song is literally live with flawlessness.
The fact that they are talented enough to write their own songs and play the instruments themselves, and play them very well, is huge. I hate that their are singers and bands out there that just buy songs then release them on an album. And then artist that only sound good on the radio and the video but are horrible live are beyond irritating. Do not...I repeat....do not react with the kids the song "Dont let me down". The lyrics are adult content. Its a great song though. All other Band Maid songs should be okay and they are all pretty damn good.

Band-Maid has made it to where they are the old fashioned way. The earned their way to the top going through some pretty lean years at first. Once they started being allowed to write their own music, they skyrocketed. Baby Metal is a corporate construct that had tons of money pumped into their act from the very beginning. Baby metal is no better than any K-Pop flash in the pan. Their shelf life will be short and Band-Maid will go on for quite a while.

Your crew there is very good. Watch out, they may take over. You should try Band-Maid's "Rinne" (Reincarnation) which is very hard and also try one of their softer songs "Daydreaming". And of course check out their live performances such as "Domination" or "Choose Me". This is not a studio-only band. They also have a side-project, Band-Maiko, which started out as an April Fools joke. They dress up as apprentice geishas (a maiko is an apprentice geisha). The Band-Maiko song "Gion Cho" has English subtitles. The lead guitarist, Kanami, is their chief song composer and the rhythm guitarist and 2nd vocalist, Miku, is their chief lyricist. They have two all English songs but as necomeko warned "Don't Let Me Down" has adult lyrics and "Dragon Cries" has some disturbing imagery of pollution, war, poverty, and dead animals.
Ha, this started out as just my channel then one day they said Daddy can we do a video with you. And now I think that if I was not so much bigger than them they may try and push me out. The only thing that is keeping them on this channel is the fact that me and their mom will not let them do their own channel.

Great reaction. Everything they do is really good. Although, "Don't let me down" may not be suitable lyrics wise (still a great song though). Their live stuff rules.

I've been a fan of BAND-MAID since 2014. As your older daugher pointed out, they make songs and play instruments themselves with no back-stage musicians and auto-tuners or lip-sync so forth and so on. Whatever the genre is, the rock should be like this? I don't like, rather hate music that was prodeced by someone else but not band members.
BTW, I recommend you 'Domination Live' on St. Valentaine's day in 2020 at Line Cube Shibuya, Tokyo. Tons of youtubers react the song. The song is literally live with flawlessness.
The fact that they are talented enough to write their own songs and play the instruments themselves, and play them very well, is huge. I hate that their are singers and bands out there that just buy songs then release them on an album. And then artist that only sound good on the radio and the video but are horrible live are beyond irritating. Thank you for the suggestion, we may use that vid as our next reaction since we wanted to do a live version.
MISA!!!! MISA!!! MISA!!!! and Akane are a great start in any Band-Maid song. MISA is the Badass Bass Assassin. There Live songs are much better. Onset, Play, Don't You Tell Me, Moratorium from Zepp, Tokyo or Domination from Feb 14th this year

IKR. ran into something great here without even realizing it.
Do not...I repeat....do not react with the kids the song "Dont let me down". The lyrics are adult content. Its a great song though. All other Band Maid songs should be okay and they are all pretty damn good.
I will look at it first. I don't sensor a lot of what the girls listen to, but there are things that are too much for them to understand. I thank you for the suggestion and the warning.
@@shaycegaming Its actually a fun video to watch with kids, but the lyrics are pure rock n roll sensitive. Pretty bad ass and one of few sung in English. But due to accent, its hard to make out the words. Ill leave it up to you if okay to watch with kids...may be okay. Have fun with B Maid. They are amazing.
Band-Maid has made it to where they are the old fashioned way. The earned their way to the top going through some pretty lean years at first. Once they started being allowed to write their own music, they skyrocketed. Baby Metal is a corporate construct that had tons of money pumped into their act from the very beginning. Baby metal is no better than any K-Pop flash in the pan. Their shelf life will be short and Band-Maid will go on for quite a while.
I think for the most part we did enjoy Band-Maid more, though the girls did enjoy Babymetal. Thank you for the comment and the support.
