I know this is not related to the video, but your channel is extremely underrated. Keep up the good work, and thank you for teaching me my favorite songs.
I still think that the midge ure version is the best. I love David Bowie and, while not entirely up my alley I respect nirvana for making quality, but there is something about the slightly distorted vocals that make me feel there in the song
I showed my sister a song I was sure was called 'calling all skeletons'. She laughed at me and pointed out it was skeltons. Apparently Spotify had misspelled the name and it looked like I couldn't read.

Both have their merits, the original felt like it was talking to the man who sold the world, and the cover felt like you were the man who sold the world. Plus Nirvana did a cover, covers change things, and he made a mistake, nothing more
The original will always be the best as it’s so good…. Thats exactly why Kurt paid homage to a musical genius. Plus it’s about the great man himself (Bowie), Kurt was simply singing his words…. That said he did a good job, which should be recognised. Unfortunately, a lot of Nirvana fans didn’t know it was a cover and they struggle with their hero not coming up with such a well crafted cryptic song…
When you were still in diapers I was driving around in my car, hearing that song every hour on the hour on every rock station I listened to. Not only have I listened to it closely, I’ve practically memorized their shoddy version.
Wow, way to be a douche. Kurt Cobain clearly mumbles on the word “walked” so the line comes out sounding like “ we mothed a million years” no hills were mentioned. However, you can still take this opportunity to go fuck yourself, Tony.

I always thought it was 'gazely stare' which is obviously a made up word..
Yes that is the exact lyric . I had that one wrong in my head
Cobain sang it gazeless, Bowie sang it gazely

i think he started singing the next lyric after the one he was supposed to, creating “we must have- millions here”

Typical. Dont go to the original for accuracy. Go to a cover?
How dare you
It's a Midge Ure song. Bowie did the cover.
