It's always incels. For real. Nickelback concert has a high number of insanely good looking females at their shows, probably top 3. Pisses off little incels that never get a sniff at a hot chick. TRUTH. Plus, there's that childish middle school beef with Corey Taylor and Slipknot.
@@POWER-LINKS I just dont vibe with their music. I like 2 songs and thats it. Never cared about the Slipknot beef. I just enjoyed their music more. Not my fav band though.
This song and especially this video taught me to appreciate every second of life ❤️ if you consider your own life as a ticking clock it makes you really not want to waste a second
So, I've never seen this music video before. Always knew what the song was about, but when I saw the elderly lady "run out of time" in the ambulance, I actually teared up.
I don't care what others think, I love Nickelback and always have, not only that I challenge anyone to show me a better music videos then the ones Nickelback has made.
This song represents life in a unique way. It's saying that no one truly knows how much time we have left on this earth and that knowing is worse, especially when you are powerless to do anything or the feeling of not being powerless and not able to help
I'll never understand the hate for this band. Nickelback has actually been one of my favorite rock bands since I was 10 years old. The band is super tight, Chad Kroeger has a very distinct voice (that every other post-grunge band since 2002 has tried to replicate) and even the songwriting was always pretty dark and pretty damn powerful, maybe not so much now as they've incorporated co-writers and rapper features in songs about strippers and booze, but Chad is a masterful songwriter and a killer guitar player!
They became too popular. I heard nickleback every day after school on the bus throughout the early 2000’s. It took 10 plus years to love them again after the over-exposer.
If that's solo section with the old lady, doesn’t get to you, you have no soul. Probably one of the best videos I've ever seen in my life. I can't recall another music video that made me cry.
Savin me is a metaphor, you can save a person every day by being kind, asking how they are etc just doing something as little as that to you could be a life line to them
I don't understand why people hate nickelback. I love them. Always have and always will. It's hard to think of a bad nickelback song. Silver Side Up is in my opinion one of the best albums ever. Listened to it cover to cover countless times. This song holds a special place for me. I was on the brink of suicide. I hadn't spoke to anyone about it but I played this song to my mum and she starred to cry and asked if I was OK. My mum and this song helped me through one of the darkest times of my life.
I'm Canadian, I love Nickelback tbh. The early 2000s? This band was the playlist to my life, everytime I hear a Nickelback song it takes me to a happy place in my life honestly. The video is basically a curse of death. The madness doesn't go away until you literally save someone. Then the person who you saved? Takes on your burden.
For me, the song is about when you meet that person who makes you want to live and move on from your darkest past... Someone saving you. Because being with them is worth leaving it all behind.
Uhh....I think there is a movie with Justin Timberlake that is basically the whole time of death thing but it shows on the forearm or something like that. Can't remember the name
Speaking of "if today was your last day", I had a dream with that song, and I'm almost certain I dreamed of this song before it came out. Either way, it changed my life.
This song drops at the end of the movie The Condemned, starring Stone Cold Steve Austin. A great movie and the song fits so perfect. I love Nickelback, just don't understand where all the hate comes from.
Death Note startred in 2003, ending mid 2006, this song came out early 2006. Don’t know about the video and how long they worked on it, but Imma say Death Note did it first, but still love how the MV did it
This video would make a fantastic movie. Your life is saved and your "Life Clock" turns off as shown but then you see other's Life Clocks. Then you save someone and your Life Clock is reset and the other person now gets the Gift. Love it. Subbed. Rang the Bell and Liked well done
This song appears to be a plea for a Savior. The writer says that prison gates won't open to free him, and heaven's gate won't open to accept him. They asked this Savior to "teach me wrong from right" And a willingness to renounce their way of life to follow this Savior: "And I'll leave this life behind me" The writer also appears desparing of the world that they are captive in: "These city walls ain't got no love for me - I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story" The writer also seems to be despairing of the internal state that this world has produced in them: "well I'm terrified of these four walls - These iron bars can't hold my soul" Heaviest reality is that the video along with the lyrics appear to communicate a desire for this Savior to intervene before the individual's time (life) expires: "Hurry, I'm fallin', I'm fallin', I'm fallin'" My question: Is the writer asking this Savior to "save me" now to perhaps prolong life, or to "save me" now in anticipation of their life expiring? One comment on the video review: I believe the woman at the end was pregnant and their was a countdown for the mother and the child.
Beautiful thing about music is you take it in your own way. For me. This song always rings my bell. I stumbled into alchohol really hard. Put my wife through hell with it. And I was just crying for her help and I was so afraid to lose her but I would everything to push her out. Thank God she's also and ex alcoholic and walked me through it. I got to the point I was suicidal. I was I just didn't see a way out. She took my hand and walked me out of the hell I was in.
At first I thought the song was about him obsessing over how much time everyone might have left on this earth because I struggle everyday thinking of that
It was inspired en Death Note Manga, Shinigami Eyes, you will watch the full name and lifetime of the people, but not your own data, or the data of another Death Note writer. This is the way that Misa Amane meet Kira.
The Bible says " It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement" Hebrews 9:27 The key word is appointment none of us knows when we will die !
I always wanted to see a reaction to this video and you're my very first one I always said that the thought of this video right here whoever thought to do this is a genius it's about a curse the guy passed the curse on at the beginning of the video when he saved him and when he walked away the guy could see the numbers over the bums head now he has the curse but he's about to pass it on to that woman he's going to save at the end of the video🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 pure unadulterated genius
Also, the guy at the beginning saves the other guy’s life and passes on the power to see people’s timelines. Then we follow the main character through the video until he saves the woman at the end and passes the power to her.
I like seeing the look on people's faces after seeing that ending though, it is pretty shocking though because it's unexpected especially when it's your first time seeing the music video
I'm definitely subbing. But most importantly I am looking up your music because you guys seem like great metal artist's and I need more. You sounded so great.
I’ve never heard of this band, until I noticed a lot of adverse comments on them. This is the first time I have listened to a track, and it put me in mind of the Foo Fighters. They get a tik from me.
I doubt there is a connection but I feel like this is the other side to their song Lullaby. Like the other side of the conversation. I listened to the two back to back and kinda saw by myself that but I doubt there is anything to prove it and probably just coincidence
I still love this song in 2023- I would always listen to my “acoustic Sunday” radio station hoping to catch the acoustic version of this song…. Check it out if you get a chance and it hits even harder. Be safe and well, and happy new year everyone-
This is a beautiful song! Jesus can only save us!! I believe that God is using that man to save people when he says heavens gate won't open up for me with these broken wings I falling on its like Jesus saying we can't into heaven with broken wings and life is short
This was the ending scene them music for a movie called “The Condemned” starring Stone Cold Steve Austin. I know that sounds like bad film lol but its actually pretty badass…
I think the video is showing it would be a curse to be able to see everyone's timeline. It is best just to live every second like it could be your last.
I wonder if the Death Timers are a nod towards Death Note, the anime and Manga. Cuz around the time of this video dropping, the anime had an episode where you saw people’s death date the entire episode. You usually saw one here and there but this episode had it the whole 25 mins But back to the video. I think the chorus links with the man tryna show people they don’t got much longer living how they are So say it if it’s worth saving me/them
But I can be both afraid of it because idk where the path leads or exited for it my story is still in the beging im still young and learning so rn if I died I guess im afraid but also a little bit exited but mostly afraid when my time is 0 idk what will happen I just know that where ill go ill be able to open my tea shop and rest knowing I did good but I am afraid that I cant hide

@@POWER-LINKS Yes ik. I cant really hate a band just because i don't like their music. Thats what i was trying to say.
I think a lot of it has to deal with how almost every song sounds the same and how Chad Croger is as a person. Personally I really enjoy nickleback
The girl sitting on the bench was peeling an orange. She was pregnant and that's why there were two timelines shown. Great channel!
I thought it was the orange's lifespan?

It's about paying it forward.
This song appears to be a plea for a Savior. The writer says that prison gates won't open to free him, and heaven's gate won't open to accept him. They asked this Savior to "teach me wrong from right"
And a willingness to renounce their way of life to follow this Savior:
"And I'll leave this life behind me"
The writer also appears desparing of the world that they are captive in: "These city walls ain't got no love for me - I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story"
The writer also seems to be despairing of the internal state that this world has produced in them:
"well I'm terrified of these four walls - These iron bars can't hold my soul"
Heaviest reality is that the video along with the lyrics appear to communicate a desire for this Savior to intervene before the individual's time (life) expires:
"Hurry, I'm fallin', I'm fallin', I'm fallin'"
My question: Is the writer asking this Savior to "save me" now to perhaps prolong life, or to "save me" now in anticipation of their life expiring?
One comment on the video review: I believe the woman at the end was pregnant and their was a countdown for the mother and the child.
