I don't know why so many people dislike Nickleback because they're an excellent band, very talented.

Because the media went on a full court press for 3 months telling people to hate them after they released the album with "Edge of a Revolution" on it.
It surprises me how many people don't get this song. He is singing about falling for a good time party girl but then all the good things about her also made her a nightmare. It didn't take him long to "figure you (her) out"

Nickelback is a bad ass man I don’t understand why they are hated so much. When I met my husband, that was one of the first things that we had in common was our love of Nickelback, and then, when our daughter was six months old, and went to a Nickelback concert together. Been married 15 years, so Nickelback is awesome.!

Yeah he went there. I loved this song but I didn’t think many would be brave enough to pull it off. It’s not really reacted to so congrats for growing a backbone. Many don’t. Nickleback may not be on many others playlist but I’ve enjoyed some of their work. It’s not Led Zeppelin but who is?

An ex he at first clearly loved, but once in a relationship with her, her straying/promiscuity, out of control erratic behavior & many serious issues caused his love & his infatuation for her to wane & end.
He mentioned he hated her (whoever she is) friends they likely were the negative toxic bad influence partying, drinking, smoking, drug use "powder on your nose/cocaine" debauchery type crowd that were the root of their problems & ultimately led to their separation.
