I was watching a vlog of yours and I saw a bike rider going like the clappers I thought I bet he was late going into work? But Then I realized that you were recording at a faster speed. 😁👍 Thoroughly enjoyed your vlog all the same.
Great video that boat nearly had you lol , great view of the lake it looks a lovely canal , you are on , very beautiful, you take care on your trips and be safe with all this wind we keep getting ,John
Spot on comments about hire boaters and the antics of some of them. Where would the teenager on the roof of the first one you met have ended up if there had been a collision ?
Very nice journey and some good Pic's, I am looking forward cruising the cut for a few years when I get there. Then I will see if I feel like going back to New Zealand or not after. Keep the videos rolling I watch every one, John
Good to know you and the cats are still chugging through the canal system. I see you are in Dan Brown Sort of Interesting stomping grounds, I surmise he has moved back to land recently. Hope things are going well for you, Spring and more sunshine are right around the corner. Cheers.
What a beautiful time of year and part of the inland waterway system. Your vlog brought back happy memories of boating and walking in that area. I did wonder what might have happened to the hire boat passenger sat on the roof, had their boat struck the piling, or even your boat! Oh well, one has to let people learn their own way. The cats looked really happy to get out and explore. Take care in the horrid blustery winter weather, Phil. Xx
I really love your videos. I live in America and many times you will see Summer cottages all around a lake that people use on weekends or for whole weeks during the summer. Do you have anything like that in England?
I shall be aboard one of those hire boats in that area... a little under four months from now. Please be patient with me. I will be desperately trying avoid making a frightful mess of things but for a novice handling a narrowboat it feels much like driving a car on the "wrong" side of the road. (I still have nightmares of driving in Ireland and forcing myself to shift with my left hand!)
Most boaters are very tolerant provided you are not going too fast. I didn't get annoyed with that oncoming boat. Just take things easy and you'll be fine.
@@NarrowboatJourneys Yes, other boaters tolerance of my inept handling was the only thing that kept me afloat (so to speak) the first time we had a rental out...
Only if there's a diesel spill or something. Normally the canals are dark because they are very shallow and the passing boats churn up the mud. They usually clear in the winter.
That is a beautiful area. Thanks for showing it to us Phil.
Good job very interesting video
nice one thank you
Stunning. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. And Blakemere looked beautiful. Thank you
Hi Phil, there are a couple of links on UA-cam to fault diagnoses and repairs for alternators.
very beautiful landscape 🤩🤩
After this month February it is nice to see a waterway with a sense able amount of water level.
Always a pleasure to watch your relaxing videos. Guess your relying on the engine to keep your batteries charged, as not much solar activity.
Thank you. No, only solar, my alternator has stopped working - not sure why?
Just beautiful Phil, thank you, I hope you are doing Ok in the storms
Thank you. Yes, all safe here but I'm getting fed up with all this wind, rain, and mud.
@@NarrowboatJourneys Yes the mud is making this winter such hard work.
Thanks Phil. We love your vlogs. Can’t wait for the next.

Thank you phil just what was needed on this winters day.
Hi Phil great to see and hear you again.
Thanks for the vlog.
Keep safe and dry.
a good feeling to see light at the end of a tunnel...🕊
Really lovely scenery, thanks Phil. Even the tunnel was picturesque. 😊
As usual, just a lovely video. Cold here in Philadelphia, so nice to see this summer trip. Must go out now to do my chores all bundled up.
Try Avon "Skin so soft" keeps the knat's away might work on Mosquitoes
Mossies really like me! :-(
@@NarrowboatJourneys Give this stuff a go....quite cheap to buy...or send me an address to send a spare bottle

Well done, very good
Hi Phil thanks for that great section of canal oh for long summer days. Hope you are ok. Alan.
Thank you. All good here but fed up with wind and rain.
Hi Phil great vlog. Hope you and the Cats where safe in the storms.

They scare me when they let kids sit on the bow with their legs dangling over the side!
Another great video! Looking forward to seeing how Ellesmere's looking. Haven't been there for some years.

New Zealand sounds like such a nice place.

I did see Dan's boat, but not him.

Beautiful area, I love the picture-postcard tree scene at 7:00.
Reassuring that I am not the only one who gets stressed on the Llangollen Phil.
That's why I didn't make it to the very end of this canal.
@@NarrowboatJourneys You got further than us. We only got as far as Ellesmere lol.
**SPOILER ALERT** I turned around about 2-3 miles away from Llangollen!
Thanks for the vlog, beautiful scenery and relaxing to watch, roll on the summer 😊

Thank you. I think some lakes are like that in the UK.

Does the water in any of the canals smell bad? The water in this canal looks real dark.

@@NarrowboatJourneys Thanks!
I have to wonder if I am the only one who waves back at the end - and calls for the cats...
I think others do that as well. :-)
Hi Phil, Love your videos. You don't happen to be the famous Phil the fluter do you.
Thank you. I've never heard of Phil the fluter?
1st to view a great vid, yes!
And does that include boat owners as well
Oh crikey head on boat, I'm having a relapse of the trip !!
Oohhhhh roll on summer
I'm fed up with all the wind and rain. Roll on summer indeed!
