Nice work, I like the idea of 1 hook above the berley spring and one below. We used a ball float and berley spring up at Second Valley with both hooks below the berley spring. I was thinking perhaps the hooks are too low. I don't like pencil floats as you cant cast out far enough, where as the ball float and berley spring gives it a bit of weight for casting.

I do find that having one above and one below allows you to cover more of your burley trail from your spring, it also helps keeping fish separated when you get double headers. I’ll be using that rig a lot come the winter run of Tommies down Cape Jervis, can’t wait!

I would like to see you with a hat on that sun can really do some damage, keep going we enjoy your videos tight lines.

I tend to wear a hat, especially if I’m fishing around low tide, middle of the day. Being sun smart is a good practice, that and I hate getting sun burnt!
At the end of the day (video close) I usually won’t as the sun has gone down enough to be safe and it’s a time to relax, enjoy the cooling air and a refreshing beverage!

Where abouts are you fishing - I do not get a chance to go out much so would like to know a good spot for the garfish. I am in Adelaide and haven't been to Carrackalinga yet but would like to go. Is there a particular spot to fish from at all? Thanks for your videos.

The area is wider than where I have fished which is the north most bay at Carrickalinga before the No fish zone all the way to the HMAS Hobart look out. You can fish for them from the beach and rock areas, just depends which way the wind is blowing. Don’t discount fishing all the way to Rapid Bay!

@@lukeloop it can fish well for Garfish in Summer but I have caught plenty of Mullet, Silver Whiting etc in the Autumn months.

Nice vid, good presentation, question what burley where you using??

I was just using my standard burley which consists of bran & pollard, bread crumbs (about 50/50 mix), curry powder, garlic powder, tuna oil and aniseed oil. I tend to eye ball the amounts till it looks and smells good so I’m unsure of exact measurements, I use this burley for Garfish, Herring (Tommies), Mullet etc and it works well!
