This band just kills me. But with this song I can hear Dougy do some amazing vocals but I just love his jazz inflections here, I mean really there's some stunning jazz inflections here. You know there are singers and there's singers. But it's HOW you sing that's 100% important. I'm aTemper Trap fan for a whole range of reasons. What a band. What cracking songs they come up with. They're stellar, just stellar. But what I've realised is how damn good Dougy is. Over 150,000 songs across all genres and in that I get those who are exceptional. This band are in my top shelf ever. In this song I hear some jazz infections in his vocalisation that just kills me. It's not easy to sing like this. You have to have vocal chops but know how to use them. Dougy just nails it for me in this. Listen to how he uses his vocal chops here. It's insane. But the song is incredible to start with, you have to have that to start with, the playing and song structure is just top class, and then add Dougy's vocal and well I dunno about you but I"m a massive fan. Got everything they ever released including some rare stuff. Gosh, what a band, they're amazing players and multi instrumentalists, song craft and it goes on and then add a singer of this caliber and you've got a band that is towering. hey, one single song shouldn't determine the whole band's promise........although I have to agree with you on the lack of pretty much of everything with the singer+lyrics, but their first album, Conditions, is the bomb. Please don't give up on them, they truly have something.
