Assembly and First Rip! | Rally Kart Build Part 2

- In this video the rally kart gets fully assembled and ready to drive! It's a basic kart build but with the special intention to be developed as more of a "rally" kart. Meaning that it can have plenty of grip but also be capable of jumps, offroad, ect. What we needed to do to get it going was build the predator 212 engine with go power sports performance parts, attach the rear axle with new wheels and tires. Hook up the torque converter and chain, then finally work out the go kart throttle and brake and then this thing was ready to drive on some gravel roads!
We were really surprised by how well it preformed and how you could use the oversteer to accelerate out of corners! We are really happy with how this thing has turned out and we are looking forward to add some power upgrades as well as make this thing into more of a rally inspired go kart.

Bad idea upgrading the valve springs on a otherwise stock predator w/ no governor. The stock flywheel and connecting rod are normally able to handle a governor removal, since the stock springs will float before any damage is done. But with those upgraded springs, you're going to need to upgrade the flywheel and rod - which is not cheap - or you could destroy that engine. Some people try to get around it by simply not going flat out, but not a lot of people have that much self control (I don't!). Just a heads up.

You need off road suspension to build a real off road kart, and you should make some cover for the engine to protect it from the dirt, and also put bigger wheels amd tires if you can and pls change the steering whel to be a WHEEL not some kind of plane controller or whatever... This was only my advice, good luck

Um, if you're having spacing difficulties with the tav, why don't you just use a the bottom hole on the tav mounting plate instead of the middle one?

How many times you going to install that torque converter? And isn't there a little washer in there behind the governor gear that you didn't say nothing about? And also isn't this the one you were talking about that you were going to be hopping curbs and stuff with?
Todd Bearden yeah we got all that governor stuff out, but we wanted to wait to jump it until we moved that lower steering shaft out of the way because if it hit something it could be bad news. In part 3 of this thing we’re gona redo the steering so it’s completely out of the way and strengthen the frame a bit. Thanks.
Are there any benefits of putting stiffer valve springs on a governed 212cc?

Motor seems sluggish. It needs a 450f or a 250 two stroke
This needs some ATV suspension with serious travel hahah then it'll be rally like...you can jump and drift you can rally....this looks too rigid for rally theme
