Unfortunately, I liked the Eden more in the blind sample. The MV7+ sounded good though. My podcast cohosts use the original MV7. I use an SM7B. Their audio sounds just as good as mine and they spent significantly less money, especially when you factor in the preamp I'm using.
That's how i feel. The Eden won... but i wasn't expecting it to be that close... for that price point?... and its an interface? Kind of crazy what we have access to.
That's so weird when the video started I really thought MIC 1 had more detail than 2 and when you revealed 2 was the EDEN I was SHOCKED !!!

Yep I thought the same, just a touch more in the mid-highs, but I'd honestly call it a draw. They are the same.
My daily carry is an sm7b. But I have been using a rode podmic usb when I travel, and like you found with the mv7+, the people I talk with haven’t noticed a difference.
I definitely heard the difference right away. Depending on application I would find use in either one, though.

Listening to it on a cheap system the expensive mic sounds a little harsher on the top end, Also I heard way more sibilance, just my two cents

It’d be tough to argue the Eden isn’t BETTER, but the price-to-performance, quality of life implementations, and flexibility of the MV7+ is pretty bonkers
