The Corvette is actually a good fuel saving car because you can short shift it for days. The torque curve starts to drop off just after the midway point on the RPM gauge.
BMW, Porsche and AMG are still my top 3 all around.
Thank you for posting this. I know it was probably a lot of work.
Couple of points about this list
1. Audi! I've chosen Audi countless amount of times back in GT Sport & 99% of the time on GT7 - on a wheel it's nearly undriveable if you don't have countersteer assist on. The older R8 LMS '15 car is even worse though. Tyre wear is horrible - once it hits a critical point, then you instantly get oversteer in a corner. Fuel isn't too good either - you need to rev the crap out of it! Most suited to controller players for sure.
2. Corvette - shortshift it! It's pretty good on fuel that way :) Can be unstable on a wheel without CSA if you 'violently turn the wheel left right or right left' but it's definitely stable! For wheel users, turn CSA onto 'weak' if you're starting out in your GT7 career!
3. Supra - I hate driving the Supra :')
I agree, on controller ive tried almost all the gt3s, but i do get the best lap times on audi r8.
thanks mate, this really helps out when selecting a car for League. Cheers
No problem 👍
Nice dude. Allot of work in there. Props man 👊
Cheers Wolffy
Great videos these, loved the last one as well. Interesting to see that the Merc and 911 have dropped off the top 5. Quick question: How is the 'Vette on hard tyres? Used to be quite sketchy! Also, I'd love to see you do a video on the top 5 Gr3 "dark horse" cars - slightly off-meta but quietly competitive. Cars like the 458, NSX, etc. Cheers!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them 👍🏻 well it wasnt bad at Monza on the hards. I have thought about that for sure, there are so many viable cars it kind of makes sense to aswell. Cheers for the input.
Thanks. Since the last update I realy like the Renault. Before I prefered the 650S.
hi omega i appreciate your videos! i know it would be a lot of work, but could you like give stats for the cars? for example for each car tyre wear 07 out of 10, fuel 06 out of 10 and so on? i find it hard to judge which car is best on which track, i mainly look at the leaderboards
Nice one Omega 👍. Looks like there are a few new cars that are going to be meta over the coming weeks. Do you reckon the BoP is a bit more balanced now overall? I mean, is the gap between these 5 and the rest getting smaller?
Thanks Andrew. Yeah I think so, there are alot of viable cars atm.
I have been fanatic about alfa 4C, but I fell in love with the R8. Always liked its sound, but now it's very much driveable, you can drive it fast without it killing you
Yeah i love the sound of them too.
I have been driving the 458 gt3 and its brilliant not sure about tyres but the sound and handling are awesome
Yeah 458 is good too
i choose Renault in my exhibition season, even before this update this car had crazy potential with the GR4 car. Now its just amazing
Nice one
Nice one .Great job.Can you do one for gr4 pl mate ?
Thanks mate. I will see what i can do
458 gt3 ❤
Thank you! Is the McLaren still good after the nerfs or out of the top ten? And what are your thoughts on the Ferrari 458? I liked it a bit more than the supra. Also I have to say, what a beautiful livery for the supra in the replays! How can I find it? Is it tagged with "Omega" ?
McLaren and 458 are definitely viable. I tossed up between the 458 and the corvette for this video. And yep just search omega there is alot of them and they look great. Have fun 👍🏻
My #1 choice is Mazda RX and I'm not good with other meta cars but my backup cars when Mazda RX don't work in some tracks are BMW M6 (both), Peugeot RCZ and Lexus RC F GT3, nothing more, I tested Renault but I don't like it, I failed to be fast with that car
Maybe do a list of cars to avoid? That would be quite useful for viewers
Can you do a top 5 best GR.1 cars? It can be vgt or Le mans GR.1, I need to know which is best
I'm missing the McLaren 650S GT3. In my opinion still one of the best allrounders. Safe to drive, good on fuel and tyre wear.
Yeah McLaren still a strong choice for sure
Personally I race in a Motorsport league on MT panorama. We do tyres fuel and damage for 1hr races. When we do any choice I do either the genesis or the V12 vantage. Both have their pros and cons here’s mine. Genesis is great on corners and stable through the top, it nurses tyres well and has great fuel economy. Downsides is it’s not very good high speed and can get thrown around easily on the bumps as it’s small. The V12 vantage is my personal favourite as it never spins out and is very nicely balanced and planted to the track. It has reasonable tyre wear and overall not bad on straights. Downside is it chews fuel though. Let me know what you think about these two
Genesis was very strong there previously. Don’t know about the Aston there as I haven’t tested it for Bathurst
@@OmegaO I recommend it highly. It’s very good for fast pace corner to corner work. I call it dancing which on Mt Panorama is essential
Great to see the Pug back in the line up. Always underrated.
Reminds me of a test drive I read about in a magazine years ago when they were testing a new Ferrari in Australia, with a Peugeot estate as a media/photographers car. They passed a local farmer on a deserted road, who did a u turn & followed them for miles before finally catching up. Apparently he said "wow I didn't know that was on sale in Aus just yet"! The driver said "yeah Italian style at it's best" & the farmer replied "Ferrari? nah mate, I mean the Puggy Wagon....."
I've tried using the R8, but after earlier updates, the car just doesn't drive the same. The Vette and Porsche need to be unnerfed or have the updated models put into the game.
Ngl for every single group 3 race I’ve just used the 911, idk why but I have a weird attachment to it and I can’t use another car anymore. It’s got godlike launch in wet weather and is really good in braking zones
Porsche is still a solid choice.
I use different cars in qualifying, but in the races I very often use the porsche. It's just so reliable.
I am always in the RSR. Throughout bops n updates, it always fares well. Maybe down on top speed but always feels good.
It will be interesting when Tidge finishes his extensive testing with all the BOP changes

One vital thing to note about fuel saving, it can't be to the detriment of performance, no good saving tonnes of fuel and you're 2 secs a lap slower.
@Rapid_GT I don't know why you keep saying the Ford GT is good on fuel, it's one of the very worst cars. It's on top of Tidgney's "fuel test" leaderboard because that test is "drive 2000m in a straight line at SSRX" and then he sorts the leaderboard by time, not by amount of fuel used. In that test, the Ford has 48% fuel remaining. That actually makes it the WORST car on fuel in the group for the maximum RPM test other than the Suzuki
@@meta7gear He sorts it by both time and fuel used, you're not understanding.
@@Rapid_GT The figures are listed there. Ford GT LM fuel level is 48. That's fuel level remaining so lower the value, the more fuel used.
Every other GR 3 car tested so far uses less fuel than the Ford. Other than the Suzuki, and the only reason the Suzuki uses more is because it's supposed to be short shifted. In my own testing I can corroborate this, the Ford GT LM uses more fuel than any other car
@@meta7gear The figures show at at both full revs and half he Ford GT LM Spec comes out top with fuel and performance, its not just a "fuel saving" test but best bet is go and discuss it with Tidge, I'm just the messenger.
The 1923 ford is the best in the game
I CANT BEAT THAT CAR ITS SO ANNOYING 😭
@@Sliced_Bread1 😂😂
Should also mention that supra is the worst car in wet.
i thought it was just me 😭
I just bought one without looking the max speed is like 180
ps as an Aussie do you play cricket 24 ?Just bought it and it;s fookin great !
Haha nah havent played cricket in ageeess lol game or real life. Last one i played was like ricky ponting cricket on nintendo or something 😂
@@OmegaO Yeah I hadn't really played since Don Bradman myself .Very hi tech now a million settings and features IPL etc
Cricket 😂
Im in love with the Porsche, it has now about 20000 kilometers😂
Anyone tested the WRX Gr.3? Tested it yesterday at a Lobby Race with BoP. Not the best handling (especially in the first Round) tbh, but damn i had like a Rocket Start and the Car felt like it has more Horsepower.
Yeah the wrx has been improved
Which would you say Is the most and least beginner friendly/easiest to drive on this list?
Peugeot RCZ i would say.
@@OmegaO thanks
Were there any honourable mentions/close contenders to make the list that you'd recommend for a beginner?
@@charlesfadayomi342 Porsche or the 2020 AMG
Fursh!
Qui a terminé toutes les courses gr3?
Wdm the audi is hard to drive i was using the amg and then the audi and the audi was wayy easier i havent spinned out and its really easy to correct the car and i have no assists on
