It's seems to be quite difficult to get first place in this cafè menu. They should add qualifying, because doing every time from last to first it's boring and stressful
I feel your pain. Rolling starts are stupid especially when the lead car has upwards of a 25-30s head start. Kaz bangs on about realism but this is still a thing? Yeah, no.
Agree, that kind of race is utterly stupid, at least give us the choice of qualifying, but no, start 20-25s behind the first and fuck off trying get to 1st, I'm dropping this shit, just waiting for the Ferrari to get the platinum and I'll sell it.
Car I found works best for this series is the Honda SF19. RM tires, power dropped to get it just under 950pp with the RM tires. With the proper fuel maps you don’t need to pit. Worked for me and I use a controller and am not particularly good…..
After 15+ attempts at Daytona, I finally got 1st place (Hard difficulty). Used the 787B, changed the gear ratio to give 400kph (so the engine doesn't rev too much and waste fuel), used RH tires, fuel mix 1, you will be able to pit at the end of lap 6, changed into RM tires and filled up 66-70%. I ended up overtaking the McLaren at the end of lap 9 and coasted home.
The rain in GT7 is incredibly organic. I love how cold the tracks feel right before rain. I also think the AI adjust their fuel gauge based on your position. If you're in the lead they will burn more to try and catch you.
@@rubencriviDT I just don’t seem to make it, I’m using the sf19 super formula car. My strategy is a no stopper but the cars in the lead don’t do a stop as well, I just finish in 7th or 8th all the time. Were you driving on the hard difficulty?
After hours and hours of struggling. I found the winning car for me was the Toyota super formula. Hard tires, stock tune with 10 ballast. Fuel on 3, I won by 20-40 seconds every race with just one stop on each track. I have mine on normal difficulty.
I just bought this car for the VGT races, and your insights are really helpful. I love the look and feel of this car even without any adjustments it handles like a dream. Watching you drive it like it's on rails shows me what she's truly capable of. You've got yourself a new subscriber.
I play controller as well, but I have a controller with paddles so I can paddle shift on manual. But the games most difficult part for me was the kei car cafe menu. Fuck that shit.
I’ve been trying for days to win this race, tried lots of different cars and UA-cam videos then finally stumbled across this guy 🏆 thank you so much I managed to get 1st position 🏆 keep up the good work man 👊🏻
Thank you for this clear and instructive video, on point as always! I won first try on Daytona on hard difficulty, after struggling a lot with other cars.
Bro i have the game on hard difficult, i consider myself a good driver, but man this was hard, to get 1st u need like 3 hours, u need to be perfection, every lap, every curve, evert splipstream needs to be perfect, but honestly i liked it.
It's been a good while since I did this, maybe it has changed in some ways since then but I do remember it being really tough. It was a fun challenge though!
Use the Peugeot vgt gr.1. It's a beast, you just have to lower it, and put hard tires. For the race, use the fuel map number 6, and you don't have to pit. You can even put nos in this.
thank you for the help, the change in ffb completely ruined my wheel settings and several tunes have become very difficult to drive. this video was very helpful with this last cafe menu. 2nd at Daytona, 1st at St Croix and 3rd on Suzuka. After a full day of trying i will take it. thank you again
Thanks for the tips... Another tip in return is put NOS in your car and use it like a kers boost system to overtake troublesome cars and to give yourself a boost when coming out of corners especially if your cornering wasn't successful you can gain back some time.
The St. Croix one: there is an easier way to do it. The car setup and the choice of the car itself is identical as in your video, however when you start the race simply put the fuel map on 1 and go! Pit on lap 4, change the tires and once you do every lap around 2:58 - 3:00 you'll get the A. Wilk guy more than 30 seconds behind you at the end of the race. Thanks for the setup tips though! Nice job mate!
I was about to yeet my PS5… thank you so much for the car sheet specs.. this race shouldn’t have been this damn hard and of course I had maximum rain on the Suzuka track. After 2 days of trying to beat it I just accepted placing 2nd.
Really useful vid, I too was struggling at Daytona and the Mazda makes all the difference. Ran out of fuel 600m from finish on 1st attempt, my own fault, finished 1st on 2nd attempt. I found it useful to stop after lap 6, refuel to full and turn the wick up for the last 3 laps. Thanks for a very helpful video.
That was my strategy at Daytona as well. Full tank after lap 6, and when on the oval go mix 1 til you're in 8th gear, then switch back to mix 6 before braking into turn1.
Besides saying that this video was extremely helpful and that i hate st croix (most corners feel very unnatural to drive) I wanna point out 2 things -i think that there is a small small chance that A. Wilk does not show up in the starting grid; When i started trying the st croix race, i noticed that he wasn’t there, which made the race much easier (my best lap was a 2:57:666 lol) and i got first Maybe this chance can happen in the other races! So it might be a good idea for those who are struggling to enter and exit over and over until A. Wilk does not appear. This might even happen in the other 2 races! - in Suzuka, i think if you dont finish the race and instead restart, the weather doesn’t change What i mean by this is that you can enter a race, go through the 10 laps, know all the rain phases, and before finishing, pause and restart; then you know exactly how the weather will be and plan a strategy for it It happened to me when i was trying to win with an audi r18, the race was exactly the same 3 times in a row, so i think it stays the same if you dont finish. I didn’t do it with the mazda because i got a no rain race You might also wanna reset the race to get a no rain race, because its easier to win it Thanks for the setups, they were great!!!
Thank you very much !!! :o) I used your car /setup recommendations and got 1st in all 3 races ( I am using a controller , and all automatic ) For Suzuka I changed from RH to IM in lap 4, changed tires again on lap 8 , and let it rain ...
With the help of this guide I managed to win the first 2 races first try, on my 2nd attempt on the 3rd race I got 3rd place which completed the menu book, thank you👍
Glad I found this little guide. This race was brutal even on medium, so had to shamefully drop to easy. But this strategy is incredible. Can't wait to try it again om harder difficulty.
Thank you so much bud👌 Honestly been trying to get a podium on Suzuka for a week. Came across a link to this video in the forums and had a look. Tbh I was reluctant to buy another VGT (already had the McLaren and the Peugeot) but went ahead anyway. Even though it pored down for 4 of the laps and I had to change to wets I got my first win of the 3 VGT races. Going to try your other tunes now. I don’t have a wheel but use the motion sensor on the ps5 controller and it was glorious L. Wasn’t expecting the win. Many many thanks 🙏
Bro, thank you very much for the tips with this car and its setup. in one of the races, I ended up with a 1:17.638 advantage over the second place, almost going around the last placed. you helped a lot
Well, thanks to you, I just realized the menus had a hint section that I've managed to miss all this time haha. Bought Bugatti and McLaren VGTs all for naught.
At the first race he is finishing in front of you at the pit stop because he is not changing the tires. There is no need to do so in fact, you can finish the race perfectly with the same RM set of tires that you began with. Great vid)
You just got yourself a sub mate. Great guide! I struggled a lot with this book. Your tuning and guide was spot on. Just Suzuka was a bit of challenge due to the variable weather
I won the Daytona race on the last lap with a pass into the bus stop. I was using the Toyota GR010. I used it again in the Sainte-Croix race and only managed 3rd. The Toyota has great top speed and acceleration but under breaking it's quite poor and it suffers a lot with understeer, you cannot use the throttle mid corner almost at all. I then tried to use it for Suzuka and gave up after spoon and then switched to the 919 hybrid and won the race comfortably. The cars in first and second place rocket away at the start and if you can't clear the traffic quickly you'll just run out of time to catch them, it's very frustrating.
I made the first two races with the SF19. With this car you have the advantage of the giant drag this car has (late braking, high corner speeds) in comparison to the AI Gr.1 Cars. Second race even without pitting! Made it P2 each race. But these races were the hardest in my whole GT 7 career!
@@IBOO57 re tried the first two with the Honda SF19 today. All 3 can be won with RM’s and no pit stop (when I did Suzuka only got a little bit of rain that didn’t warrant switching tires). Daytona is fuel map 6, St. Croix is fuel map 5.
The Mazda Gr1 cars are quite capable for this event. Not just fast, but efficient. I was able to clear (I only play on hard difficulty) it with both, although ironically the 787b was the first car I managed to get 1st place with, probably because with the turbo it has the best power to weight ratio; not quite as stable as the LM55 though, which seems very easy to drive compared to most GR1 cars. Was disappointed that I couldn't upgrade the Toyota ts050 power, I wanted to try that one. The gr010 is a little heavy for this class, so didn't want to use it.
Thank you for the settings. Daytona was relatively straightforward with the tune. I could not get better than 3rd on Suzuka until finally the weather changed right with the lap 6 pit, and then I won by like 25 seconds. I have yet to attempt St Croix, but since it’s not a track I’m familiar with at all I am planning on practicing it to improve my lap before attempting the race.
@@davidcagle920 Assuming you mean St. Croix was the one that was by far the easiest, I agree. I took some time to get comfortable with the lap, but seems like the AI is highly conservative around St. Croix, so you can bring home a gold with decent clean laps.
I used stock Bugatti vgt on fuel map 6 pitted once and managed to get 1st, it has the power but it handles like a boat, still did it tho. (Excluding suzuka)
