this is another underrated Beatles song that is really a classic. I simply love the harmony and once again you have nailed it. The Beatles harmony was just one of their weapons but it was a huge one. Thanks so much for allowing us to view these videos. Cheers
This song is one of the most personal and powerful Beatles songs I have ever heard and no one ever talks about it. Your breakdown or the song is amazing.
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BEATLE SONG and I started listening to the Beatles since I was 6 years old in 1963. I'm FINALLY going to multi track this. As I am a lyric soprano, l'll have to sing much of John's part 8^. It will sound different, but I want to learn it solidly. I've already learned the main parts, but your tutorial is still ESSENTIAL, especially for the extra track harmonies. Thank you, SO MUCH, Galazzeo.
Gale : was just browsing and hit on a take by take version , and TRULY I think this was their first musical MASTERPIECE. It was the one that awoke the critics to "wait a second , this is not Pop or R&R this is VERY special critical complicated music ... with two-part vocal harmonies in fifths , McCartney just gives me shivers hitting that "AND ITS MY MIND ...... and there's NO TIME...... when I'm alone .... I remember my dad who was an amateur musician but had (still does) an amazing ear . telling me LISTEN , LISTEN CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN and suddenly music was no longer MUSIC to me . It was like analyzing a good painting , proportions, shapes, forms (that was my childhood goal to be an artist painting came MUCH easier than music ;) ) and I must have listen to There's a place for a week straight. Your deconstruction was phenomenal my friend and I just wanted to THANK YOU.
Well,YOU my friend do that to me quite often ..... You have thought me to LISTEN . to pay attention to little magical subdued moments which becomes an extraordinary performance that transcends art . I owe you MUCH Gal ... WE owe you much ! and *I* will be eternally grateful. THANK YOU .. AGAIN!
The Beatles Vocal Harmony One of the few positive things of Social Media, that people like us meet each other and somehow find a kindred spirit we could not have found otherwise. It is NOT only you Gal . It is mutual. :) :)
Thanks. My cousin and I used to spend hours listening to Beatles songs on a mono record player working to get the harmonies. I sang the high parts and he sang the low. People said we were pretty good. It is reminds me of happy times and happy music.
It is unusual, that as young as John & Paul were, that were so created in vocals/harmonies.....back in the early days. Thank you, for your great video.
Thank you this is one of the most beautiful complients I have ever received :) It's an old Yamaha I bought used for 80 buck. I'll post some more in the descr box soon.
My All-Time Favorite Beatle song. I was 6 when it was released. Everyone in my family were Beatle fans. Thank goodness I had 3 older brothers who bought all the records. Still singing Beatles with singers if all ages, online. Also doing my own multitracks with Galeazzo to teach the exact parts. Thank you!!!!
I haven’t seen you in so long and Facebook or on UA-cam, I miss you and I wish you’d come back. Your voice is beautiful and so are you and your wonderful knowledge about Beatles songs and history is unmatched. Hoping to see you come back soon. I know all your fans are missing you, I know I am very much. 🤗♥️🎶🎵🎶🎵⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We cut guitars out of plywood and had "concerts" in the back yard with nailed on bottlecaps as dials on the guitars... before you were born. Sang on key....(or so we thought) with the records playing as back up.....Seeing now 50 years later how great even dummies like us realised they were. Thank you so much...
I've been singing these songs since they arrived, I know them all by heart, and you have showed me the harmonies that I love so much. You are fabulous! I just love singing along with you on the different parts. When I hear the songs I can distinguish the differences now! Thank you
I just stumbled across this by accident. I've been banging on about the phenomenal harmonies in this song for many years. Thankyou for a wonderful rendition,I wish I could sing it like you sir👏🏻
You sing so very WELL. !!! Beautiful. Would love to hear you sing more full songs , You have a tremendous sound; so like the each one of the Beatles, and an excellent quality to your voice which is all your own. Im so glad to see you, wish you could tour America so I could see you :) Keep up the great work !! Fantastico !!! ♪♫♫♪
You have a keen sense of hearing that allows you to detect variations and changes in their voices. I love their songs but I don't think I would ever be able to do a good job like you do. Every video you make really enlightens Beatles fans to the details creative details of Lennon/McCartney and Harrison. Thank you for you vids.
You give the music of the Beatles so much worth, (I mean they were really good, and not only beatlemania-victims) which it hasnt when it was first brought out. I remember my father telling me that Beatles-Music wasnt music, but only stupid noise (That was 1973), what I experience now is that I find other music "stupid noise" and maybe in another 30 years someone gives a lesson on how to enjoy:Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (Audio) ft. R. Kelly
Each time I listen to the 'Please Please Me' album, I always think it's the best; coming, as it did, out of nowhere. Of course, I think all the others are the best, too.
Hi Galeazzo, I did sent a small sponsoring, (very easy to do) And like to thank you for the wonderful lessons, I enjoy it very , very much. You are the best!!!!
Gracias por hacer que disfrute mucho más las canciones de Los Beatles! , como tú bien dices, eran unos buenos cantantes y haces un trabajo magnífico al disociar las voces tan magistralmente...
Galeazzo........... I love your stuff. Once in a great while I might have a slightly different take on the song but 99% of the time you are spot on. Thank you so very much for your highly informative videos.............. Do you take requests?
Great job! Very interesting to hear the individual parts. This is not one of my favorite Beatle songs but I appreciate it more after watching the video. Thanks and God bless you.
May I ask you what model of Yamaha guitar you use? Do use any particular model for all the Beatles covers or you make any changes? The way your voices and a guitar sound is just fabulous, amazing, awesome! No drums, no bass or piano, but the feeling is - It's the Beatles, it's John, Paul and George (no Ringo, though :), except for With a Little Help OMF)!
I think on John's "..is a place", on "is" he sings an E flat not an E and then follows with F# and G#, which is slightly crazy. Gives it an E maj 7 sound.
I love all of your videos so much! They are very very helpful to me, as it’s difficult to hear the harmonies on the recordings- you make it so easy to learn the lines! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Much love to you and yours
Great vocals! Awesome harmonizing. Do you know in what range are McCartney's vocals in this? For example, on the verses, are they situated around C#4, Eb4, E4 or C#3, Eb3, E3?
I really enjoy your harmony tutorials. You have the vocals down perfectly. The only thing that separates you from the Beatles harmonies is your accent. Your accent is more pronounced when you are singing one part alone. But when played all together it's not as noticeable.
There is a place Where I can go When I feel low When I feel blue And it's my mind And there's no time When I'm alone I think of you And things you do Go 'round my head The things you said Like "I love only you" In my mind there's no sorrow Don't you know that it's so? There'll be no sad tomorrow Don't you know that it's so?
it was their use of block harmonies (as opposed to parallel) that radically changed the sound of rock & roll/pop. if you wanna try a tongue twister, give "i don't want to spoil the party" & "think for yourself" a go...
Man , May I ask you Something ? How Did you record this Song ? Homemade Song , or in a Studio ? What about the microphone ? How did you make the Chorus ? MAN wooh ! you're amazing. I downloaded your Videos, and shared your Website with my Friends.
Hey! You are a genius, I like very mjuch your videos. As a fan of the beatles you should be, I want to ask you. What do you think about John, Paul and George as vocalist? are they undervalued? Also, I have understood that this album (all Please Please Me) was recorded in only 14 hours. Do you know something about this? sounds amazing. Ciao!
Could you teach the harmonies for "Solider of Love (Lay Down Your Arms" by the Beatles from the Live from the BBC album, Thanks!! Love your Excellent videos!
Wow, you are amazing! Please keep up the good work. I never really appreciate how well they blend. I can usually figure out 2-3 harmonies. If there are only 2, I can add a third. But you have it pegged with all the double tracking, etc. Have you considered teaching the vocals/harmonies with other groups...Crosby Stills & Nash may be something you'd consider. Right now I'm attempting to master the middle part of "Helplessly Hoping"; I think I've almost got it. But 'please please me' with more Beatles. Thanks so much! Andie
Sometimes I get your versions of Beatles songs stuck in my head, it's too good. Do you think maybe you could please please record actual covers? That'd be super sweet

Beautiful. "Nowhere Man" changed my life. I remember the moment. Nothing was the same. I was a child and cried. Didn't know why. What a song.
enkibumbu - same here. And when I heard this song as well.
this is another underrated Beatles song that is really a classic. I simply love the harmony and once again you have nailed it.

This song is one of the most personal and powerful Beatles songs I have ever heard and no one ever talks about it. Your breakdown or the song is amazing.
Charly García (a classical musician until he heard this song) had his life changed by it.
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BEATLE SONG and I started listening to the Beatles since I was 6 years old in 1963.

mickavellian Qué bien has descrito la enseñanza de tu padre sobre la canción. ...como una pintura! , magnífico! , te llega muy adentro...
Thanks. My cousin and I used to spend hours listening to Beatles songs on a mono record player working to get the harmonies. I sang the high parts and he sang the low. People said we were pretty good. It is reminds me of happy times and happy music.

Great job. The harmonica in the song is so haunting. George Martin's mastery.
George Martin? John Lennon decided to put on played the harmonica
The Harmonica was apparently to cover up timing issues with George Harrison's Guitar.
GREAT JOB!! I think this could be one of their most complex harmonies ever, and they did this in 1963!!! Thanks for posting
This is an amazing one :)

Great Song Choice!
Just the fact that you can nail John's and Paul's vocals...
Thanks a bunch for this video!

Galleazzo, thank you so much for your excellent analysis & breakdown! I have always loved this early Beatles song.
This site is great and so is this guy! I've never been able to separate the Beatles harmonies until this site!
Thank you for another wonderful session, Galeazzo. I love hearing you sing as much as I enjoy the tutorial.
I love these tutorials, it gives a good idea of how difficult Beatles' songs really are !
Waiting for Long Tall Sally ! (hard one)
Wow. Paul really did have a beautiful vocal range. Those are extremely high notes (dont you no that it's so) to hit without falsetto.
Honeystain I totally agree!
Very...Very Good! Thank you Galeazzo!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing... Thank you so much!!
George is the unsung hero of so many Beatles songs
Fenómeno! !!! Maestro ...

Galeazzo, have you considered Devil In Her Heart yet? I think it is really interesting from the vocal harmonies point of view.
High Paul´s voice is fantastic...!!

Some excellent inspiration here! Thank you & Bravo!

WOW, you read my mind. I was just thinking of this song in the car today.
What a great tutorial. Very tricky vocals here. Spot on. Grazie tante.

Let me see...oh, o.k., it's a Galeazzo Beatles vocal harmony tutorial, then it's got to be a good tutorial. Educationa and entertaining... as usual!!!
YOU ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy your harmony tutorials. You have the vocals down perfectly. The only thing that separates you from the Beatles harmonies is your accent. Your accent is more pronounced when you are singing one part alone. But when played all together it's not as noticeable.
Yes please. That song is amazing!
Awesome, I have trouble picking out lower Lennon parts..... nice, keep em coming !
Damn u are amazing, how u breakdown there vocals are incredible. For the life of me i cant distinguish how ones singing when they sing together.
There is a place
Where I can go
When I feel low
When I feel blue
And it's my mind
And there's no time
When I'm alone
I think of you
And things you do
Go 'round my head
The things you said
Like "I love only you"
In my mind there's no sorrow

Andie Straus ahah I will please please you with more Beatles for instance :)
Vocally, "There's A Place" was completely unlike any other song that came out back in 1963.
you sounds just like Lennon, Amazing pal
Wonderful! ...as always.
amazing as usual
Sometimes I get your versions of Beatles songs stuck in my head, it's too good. Do you think maybe you could please please record actual covers? That'd be super sweet
Love it...Great Job!
