great tutorial cuzin, always good to see how others sharpen their knives. as they say you are never too old to learn. much love and have a wonderful evening
Hey Steve! Have tried many ways and methods, probably my cheap chinese stone is crap, so it doesn't work, still have to find a method that works for me... Maybe it depends also on the hardness of the blade material. Anw, good demo take care!
A blade either has the quality steel and hardness, or it does not. If it does not, then it cannot be sharpened. For example, one of my favorite Sabers was not heat treated properly and it cannot take a true cutting edge. So yes , the Blade must be good quality to be sharpened. Thanks for being there Pedro 👍💯🗡😎
Yes, you just have to be aware of that . That is freehand sharpening, just feeling the edge contact to the stone, and checking for progress and adjust angle as needed. No doubt a proper flat stone is preferred. Thanks for watching 💯👍
Awesome Steve! I have always pulled the knife away from the stone not into it, I will have to try this!
It's worth a try. The leather strop is what takes them to the shaving level. Thanks for being there and keep up the great work 💯👍
