Good job. Thank you, Lucas.
No system preferences menu on MacBook Pro, there is a system settings?
way to turn off iCloud notifications completely as well private relay?
thank you
Thank you!!!
OMG THANK YOU!!!!
Doesn't work.... I am still getting the new Icloud terms and conditions notifications every 30 seconds.
I do not agree to the new terms, I do not use Icloud, and there is no way to get back control of my computer.
You're my hero! thank you, thank you!
You are very welcome! :)
This is slightly different on different versions of the OS. (It's always helpful for any tip to reference the version of the OS being demonstrated, both because people may have an older OS, and also within a year or so, your video will no longer be demonstrating the current OS.)
well obviously. But how to turn system setting notifications?
how to delete from system preferences?
Thanks!
You are very welcome! :)
Ah. I remember when system preferences didn't totally suck. Those were better times.
How do you stop alerts from Finder? its not in the list of 'guys' on the left.. I've got 200+ alerts for iPhone software update I can't get rid of without clicking X on each one individually!
same here. Google search fail. And the only reason I looked here. Of COURSE you can see how to turn off notifications for apps but FINDER ones only please.
Thank you so much! I was about to have a mental breakdown with all the pop ups 🥴😭
I still have sounds even though all of my notifications are selected as off and I have do not disturb on as well :( HELP!
Happy to help of course! I would need to have a look at your Mac. Feel free to book a consult with me anytime - here's my booking link! macinhome.com/booking/

how to fucking stop the notifications from "System Preferences", why does not macbook give an option.
Because Apple considers its own system notifications to be more important than any consideration of our needs. The daily system nagging is driving me crazy.
Hello, I have manually turned off all of the apps in System Preferences and I'm still getting a sound that randomly occurs while I'm using my macbook air. I don't know why it makes this sound but it happens while movies and videos are playing. Any suggestions?
Me too! They all say "off" but it dinged during a live lecture I was giving on Zoom! OMG!
Did you get rid of that sound I have the same thing it’s annoying
Nope :( went through the steps on the video and my laptop still makes the same sounds.
@@chelseabridges5889 same bruh it’s so freaking annoying
I did this and am still getting that annoying Ding sound. 😡
If you are still getting a ding then it might be in Mail preferences... or I have also seen some other more hidden ones I had to dig for. Book anytime: macinhome.com/booking/
How to turn off icloud notifications which are the most annoying and keep offering me to buy more space
The way you turn those off is by either buying more space or deleting stuff out of iCloud.
🙈🙉
I still cannot completely turn off the notifications showing system updates that are available. The best I can do is turn on "Do not disturb" for 23 hours a day. I have it set so that the hour the notifications show up is from 2 to 3 am, but occasionally I am up and on the computer during that hour. There should be a way to turn them ALL off forever.
For the update alerts you would need to turn off “check for updates” in your system preferences/settings under software update. Just uncheck all the boxes including the advanced ones.
Instead of turning them off for 23 hours, you can turn them off for 23 hours and 59 minutes. Then there is only one minute a day when they will appear.
