Thanks Michael! The X-Maxx is a lot of fun and really similar to your V1 Maxx, just super sized. It might be the ultimate basher to have. The only con is the extra battery requirements, but you might have all the 4S packs you need. -Brett
Immediately on the Xmaxx you have to change the steering servo then change the ESC because you can’t program the stock ESC. You change the ESC so that you can turn up the bec voltage for the new steering servo that can handle higher voltage to operate faster for better steering and handling which will turn those big tires much better. Don’t forget that you’re gonna need an adapter for that new steering servo because the Traxxas fifth scale servo is proprietary. Then change the tires because they’re going to get a tear after a couple of runs. You’re gonna need a new body shell after the truck basically flips a couple of times about five runs to be exact why becuase there’s no reinforcement on the body shell around the shock tower posts that will break right through. So basically what I’m saying is you have to drop about 500 bucks into this truck after purchase just to make it steer really good and handle right also to replace very short life items like the body shell and tires. For me monster trucks in RC have always been very gimmicky. Yes they look cool but they don’t handle great they constantly roll because of the high center of gravity when cornering which quickly makes them not fun to drive with very bad handling. If you look at the market a large majority of fast RC vehicles sit lower to the ground because it makes for better performance and handling and you can still jump them which = more fun.
Absolutely true. Also its hard to find a good RTR car for bashing. You have to put lots of money in most if not all RTR cars to make them fun. Thats why i stick to competition kits from brands like Team Associated, Tekno RC, Xray or Yokomo for example.
best bang for your buck is redcat machete for $400 and have a huge truggy that will last plus have $600 to do all the upgrades you want instead of the xmaxx
@@LyroLife My losi dbxl-e replaced my Xmaxx and is so much more fun to drive, stronger and better made in my opinion then the Xmaxx. I also don’t like the Xmaxx build geometry I think it’s a pain to work on over a more traditional RC layout. I’m currently building my first nitro build a team associated RC8T4 truggy.
Every time I went to pull trigger on a xxmax I went with a Losi or arrma , the xxmax is a grab and go and perfect for guys who aren’t race oriented. One of the best rcs but you’re going pay extra just because. I think I read final product to build is around 250/ 300$ no other companies is that strict with their profit margins, they use the extra money to crush the competition 😂

It's crazy after getting the Xmaxx it really needs a good bit of space. Best rc car ever made in RC world. I wish I never bought the E-revo 2.0 worse rc car breaks to easy 10mins in running.
I've got rival mt10 and kraton 4s v2 but my dream is to own xmaxx,I've got terminal cancer so I'm hoping I can fulfil my dream before I go,not many things in life make me smile like the rush of taking out my infected devil's,takes my mind off my problems for a few minutes👍🔥
My biggest complaint after a few years is that pin system that traxxas uses for the motor. I’ve had those pins push right though the plastic. It makes it nearly impossible to get the gear mesh correct, and leads to a lot of stripped pinion and spurs. And, it’s not easy to diagnose. And worse part is, replacing that rear bulkhead is basically a complete rebuild of the truck. Traxxas needs a new system to perfect the mesh that is more consistent and durable. The stripped gears is the worst part of my xmaxx. And I’m sure it’s that pin system they use. The engineering behind the system is awesome. But if you run the truck hard, you will have issues with gear mesh.
A precision scalpel it isn't. After 4.5 years with a Max 6 powered X-Maxx it's definitely my favourite RC. has the V3 parts (Bigger bearings in the front and rear hubs) It just doesn't care what I throw at it. I don't abuse it with reckless abandon but It's flown further and taken more hits than anything else I've bashed. Absolutely love it. XRT is the next on my purchase list. I love the size and power of these trucks.
Decisamente gran bel video ,ottima recensione e come sempre viene voglia di acquistare un mostro simile! Ma praticamente è fatto al 90% di plastica...credi che valga un prezzo finale di 1200 euro?
I bought 4 of these beasts because of Kevin Talbot smashing them at Skate Parks. I don't regret it. With a few simple upgrades, they are so freaking tough. One of mine is on 12s, which is 2 x 6s lipos in series. It is crazy fast and powerful! I used a lower Kv motor of course. It's actually getting more run time too.
4k before upgrades lol i like the truck 🛻 hate the company , I have the regular max I pretty much wore everything out knowing I’d rebuild it for 200 with the body till they stop seized the whole salers
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw I'm not a fan of the company's ethics either. Unfortunately, they make the XMAXX which is one of a kind. I wish Arrma or some other company would come out with something similar. I know Cardinal RC makes something pretty close it's just not as durable. If Traxxas would Treat the little guys who own shops with some respect then they wouldn't be such a bad company. I have the MAXX too. Super fun truck. Boycott Bud Light, Target, Nike, and Addidas!
@@Utubeisazzho Arrma infraction is so much fun to skirt around parking lots and skate park bowls. My favorite street basher. Plus with some mods, it is so fast!
I noticed the Xmaxx, like other 4 wheel drive cars have trouble keeping the front wheels down. More weight should be added to the front to increase traction. Sacrifice back flip for traction.
It doesn’t have much to do with it being 4wd. Front wheels going up is mainly about power, grip and how your center diff or slipper is set up. Weight transfer plays a big role as well. A 4wd buggy, even on 6S will be hard to wheelie on stock form
@@DashzRight yeah, that's true. I prefer racing to bashing and stunts tho. And if I can't get to full power without my RC car trying to turn into an aircraft, I'd definitely not use that spec again

@@craigengelman1369 my new favorite that replaced my Xmaxx is the losi dbxl-e. It’s is way more fun to drive then the Xmaxx.
I love mine, and I still want to do the castle belt drive upgrade one day.
Totally over engineered and unnecessary
i usually land 6-8 foot high jumps. havent broken anything yet, but i got spares for when it happens. this is my favorite truck
sorry but i don't believe , you maybe use it one battery, that's impossible if you got the car more than 4 days running everyday. let me know something in the next round you will believe me lol
@@nunosantos2015have been using the xmaxx for the last 2 years almost every weekend and had 0 issues other than stripped servo and 2 bearings needing replacements
@@DashzRight that can't be possible man, i had mine 1 years and half and every run something broke maybe i'm a bad pilot or you are the luckiest guy in the world lol but i don't in a single word you saying 😂
I bash it decently on the weekends for about a year, had to replace all 4 tires and a broken arm and knuckle. Other then that runs great
XMAXX is the king of bashing 🔥
It's crazy after getting the Xmaxx it really needs a good bit of space. Best rc car ever made in RC world. I wish I never bought the E-revo 2.0 worse rc car breaks to easy 10mins in running.
Pole:
Jesus Christ!!
XMAXX:
I think I ran into something?
Just ordered this truck its my first rc since I was a kid wanted to go big
The best rc truck
Have had mine for 3.5yrs and love it still even made the xo1 body work on it and recently got a scx6 body to fit...
Would like to see that
Should've just called this thing the "Monster Bash"
I've got rival mt10 and kraton 4s v2 but my dream is to own xmaxx,I've got terminal cancer so I'm hoping I can fulfil my dream before I go,not many things in life make me smile like the rush of taking out my infected devil's,takes my mind off my problems for a few minutes👍🔥
X-Maxx vs. XRT! 😮
Amazing video i love to watch them while i work on my Stampede+traxxas rally st keepn up rhe great work guys a lt Amain hobbies+Brett
The big aspect carries over to price too. Over the top. The batteries are more then most people's RC budget.
I wouldn't,I woodn,I wooden and you shoooooding🤣🤣🤣
I think the X max is top-tier
That Thing Is HELLACIOUS!! Man I have a HYPER GO 1/16.......... I WANT IT 😀👊👍✌️🦅🇺🇸🦼
A precision scalpel it isn't.
4k damn
I got 1 cuz of him and Mercedes 6x6 Arrma infraction Arrma fireteam hoonitruck hoonicorn 😂
Whats the best differential fluid to run? Stock is 10k front, 30k in the rear. Ive heard you want thicker weight in the front for cornering.
Still love all of my Xmaxx's🔥🔥🔥
Love both but you're going to break that XRT
Since when the fruck was traxxas the best in anything anyway?
I wish axial would make a durable upgraded Yeti XL taking notes from the Xmaxx. We need competition, plus just imagine 😝
I still can't decide what wheels n tires to buy on mine. The foam keeps disintegrating in stock tires.
Just saw the video now my 7 year old son wants it ASAP
any lipos to recommend for it?
Have one myself, drops jaws anywhere I take it!
🤓👍
I noticed the Xmaxx, like other 4 wheel drive cars have trouble keeping the front wheels down. More weight should be added to the front to increase traction. Sacrifice back flip for traction.
It doesn’t have much to do with it being 4wd. Front wheels going up is mainly about power, grip and how your center diff or slipper is set up. Weight transfer plays a big role as well. A 4wd buggy, even on 6S will be hard to wheelie on stock form
No, it is fun as it is, most people love backflips and wheelies
@@fmc7209 I see. Most times all my 4wds flip/wheely anytime any of the front tires bounce off a rock and leave the ground. Maybe my ESC is bad.
@@DashzRight yeah, that's true. I prefer racing to bashing and stunts tho. And if I can't get to full power without my RC car trying to turn into an aircraft, I'd definitely not use that spec again
If you swapped out the 20 million center diff fluid for 1 million, that would stop it.

Great review! Thank you
Is this the “Nature is Neat” guys little brother?
Do you think they will make a new x maxx?
It's awesome man love it 🇬🇧d things a animal got 2
We have 2 xmaxx's....getya some😊
just sold mine, had to many RC and picked up and XRT on launch.
