The true and only indigenous people of SA are the Khoi and San , they are termed coloured by the law of the land since the apartheid years . Thus following all coloured People having the same lived experience as a mixed race may rightfully claim the distinction of being true indigenous people .

This should be very interesting. I am a white South African who loves my country and i am a lover of history and it has always irritated and angered me that the ORIGINAL South Africans have always been and still are undermined and underappreciated and regarded as inferior by all other races. They got driven out of their homes in the north by invading Bantu tribes and then got driven out of the south by the arriving Europeans. These people have the BIGGEST claim to SA but they have the LEAST say in SA. As the saying goes, they were too black in the old SA and they are too white in the new SA. We need more discussions about this topic in SA.
An independent Western Cape would solve this problem.

When is DA going to fix the cape flat in the Western Cape? It appears that no one is concerned about the residents of Cape Flat.
When is the ANC gonna fix KZN townships o Jhb central hillbrow etc all run by foreigners, an enclave of gangsters and drug dealers from Nigeria and Zimbabweans, when will the anc fix that? Atleast Cape Town city is well kept and attracts foreign investment as well as tourism... not much can be said for the rest of the country which is as beautiful as cape town but no one will visit because of the ridiculous crime rate.
Dont look at things through a narrow lens, when the rest of the country is experiencing stage 4 load shedding the cape has stage 3 and lower because atleast they doing something about the crisis and generating their own power. They had to beg and plead with the national government to remove the red tape so that people can sell back their surplus solar generated electricity to the grid. The DA gets stuff done, however one cannot ignore that their is a degree of racism within their party, come 2024 we got a choice between whites continuing to be racist, the rest of us atleast having jobs, water and electricity and dignity or the anc running the country to the ground in their own proudly black manner and you guys can proudly continue to fight each other for jobs when the unemployment rate keeps going up and up and up while the anc continues to break or steal. The closest tribe linguistically and culturally to the Nama are the Damara who are darker skinned. If you look at unmixed so called khoisan groups they are clearly a black African tribe. What you are trying to say is like saying because Nilotic people in Sudan look different than Tswana people in Botswana therefore they are a different race. On the passport of any so called San from Botswana it says that they are Tswana. All the so called Khoikhoi chiefdoms that joined the Xhosa during the Khoi Dutch wars are called Xhosas today. When we say bushman hair and we say coloured hair we are definitely not talking about the same thing because everybody knows there is a difference. Also this idea that all so called “Khoisan” were lighter skinned is not true as the bushmen of Zimbabwe the Tshwao/Tjwao are dark, the bushmen of Tanzania the Hadza are dark, as I mentioned the Damara of Namibia are dark. The complexion of the average bushman in Botswana is no different than the average Tswana.

It should be up to the indigenous population of the African continent, to decide how their people should govern the ancestral lands that belong to them by evolutionary birthright. They are the only racial category that has directly emerged from the African continent. Any round table should be made up of leaders from various African tribes. There's absolutely no reason why people who are not indigenous to the continent of Africa, should feel entitled to meddle in Africa's domestic affairs or direct the destiny of how African countries should evolve because. China and Russia do not tolerate such arrogance from foreign inhabitants of their countries. Neither, should the African diaspora or any other indigenous diaspora that has been colonized by invasive human populations.

What a pity this wasn't taken up and discussed years ago!! I think, as an English speaking person born in South Africa ìn 1944, we never really got to learn anything much about the actual history of the Khoisan people at school. 🤔
TRUTH! The full Khoisan history has never been included in the history books by the South African Education Department! The only thing that they mentioned was about the biggest diamond that was picked up by Jan Die Strandloper, a Khoisan boy in 1869 on the banks of the Orange River. The diamond is in the crown of the royal King. Jan was given absolutely nothing! The diamond must be given back to Jan's family!
As a coloured ma I think we should all work together and take the country forward, no single race should lead the country we just want an equal government and not the ANC that is black only or the DA which is mostly white and only cares about white people for the most part.

Ja, but the areas that are failing will always blame the ones who succeed, and cry that it's apartheid again... Nobody forced those people to turn the huge swaths of land they were given into a pigsty and build a bunch of shacks on it, they could have built their own schools, villages, shops, sanitation and houses if they wanted to, everyone started with nothing in the begining, even the Boers...

@@marcone123ish It won't completely eliminate conflict, but it will reduce conflict. In saying community, this can be a town, city, a cultural group etc. All SOE's are privatised. The community selects their leaders, tax money stays in the community to maintain infrastructure and create jobs similar to the concept of Orania just duplicated all over South Africa. This way if there is bad governance it only affects the specific community and not the entire South Africa, and it will be much easier for a community to replace incompetent leaders because they wont be able to abuse their power like they are currently doing.

I spent a few weeks binge watching everything about SA politics and the political parties and learnt a lot in the process.
As a white minority who won’t vote for the largest opposition party because they will never have a 51% plus support of the voters and they refuse to work with the PA. No coalition, no ousting the ANC.
I will give the PA my vote because of what Gayton McKenzie says he will do. I will give him a chance not because he is colored and the coloreds deserve a chance, it’s what he has to offer.

Another amusing aside, my grandmother Emily May Ackhurst born 8th May 1893 in Haartebeesfontein stated quite loudly that in that area everbody had coloured cousins aunts uncles grannies etc. After 1910 this fact was supressed. The core of the coloured community is Khoi San with many admixtures. Frankly a lot of Zulus and Xhosas along the East coast are not exactly pure black either. This obsession with colour is stupid.
The Cape province should break away from the rest of South Africa and become a sovereign state in its own right☝️

LOL, It's like telling white people in German or England that they are foreigners England and Black people must rule those lands, why?, because Black people or indigenous Africans were first to arrive in England and white people originated in the caves of the Caucasus mountains. On the Issue of South Africa, "Black" or African people are indigenous in South Africa, Coloreds are from their fathers the Dutch, English and Asians and an extreme small number of them have less than 5% African blood in them. If Colored people team up with their fathers the Europeans, they will get kicked out with them just like in Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and elsewhere.

Believing you're illogically a different species of human, just because you proudly associate with a now extinct and dead materialistic group of wealthy and greedy european colonisers of yesteryear hell bent on murdering and raping indigenous peoples, stealing resources and wealth of foreign lands to build their 1st world statuses and personal wealth, using all manner of deceit and treachery to attain the status quo, does not make these elite greed mongers special in any way, nor superior in any way due to wealth classification. Fellow coloured here. I just feel we need competent leaders who can unite us all as one nation despite our differences.
Saying we need coloured, white, black or Indian leaders doesn't really help us if they do not know how to lead.
Also, if you present the idea as "we need a coloured leader," everyone who isn't coloured isn't going to be very receptive or care that much because they are not going to relate to us as a group.
I like the idea of having competent leader who happens to be coloured, but the majority of the country will be indifferent.

Perhaps seeing the way politicians have run things has left me jaded and a bit critical. But Regardless of him or anyone else being coloured, I'm not just going to vote for someone based on the fact that we can relate race wise. Perhaps the other coloured guy?..will they be able to deal with places like Wentworth ect. The crime. And violence.
