Formula One has shown in recent years that drivers like Susie and recently Jamie in Indy NXT would have been better off as drivers than _some_

Free practice don’t mean too much but she got to it right from the get go, her DTM results weren’t good but she was good in the single seaters and karts
it was one of those situations where many drivers are in, it’s just there wasn’t a seat available, she wasn’t given too many opportunities and she actually wanted to focus on other things

It was far from a great lap, but only 1.6 from first place isn't as bad. Not using all the track, widening entry, hitting apex, not brave enough on throttle (I think in Sector 3 after Sachs curve that really fast chicane is doable even in a 2014 F1 car with full throttle).

Actually she was very good for most of the lap, especially in sector 1. If you think she missed the apex because she didn't run on the curbs then you might be wrong, kinda. Let me explain : F1 cars are very sensitive to bumps so hitting those tall curbs might have destabilised the car, better going few cm wider and bringing back the car in one piece since this was a free practice session. No need to hate because she's a woman or because her surname is now Wolff ; all considered she had basically very low experience in F1 that was a pretty solid lap, not something you'd scream for, but still would wipe our "F1 experts" asses out.

Lance Stroll can be pretty clutch if needed, he took like 7 races to score his first podium in a midfield Williams, started on the front row later that year, and his pole in Turkey under tricky conditions. It is just, I feel that Stroll doesn't push himself enough because he knows as long as his dad is there, he will be there.
