Agreed. I have Aces and Switch sports and all i can say is that they're not worth 50-60 dollars at all, i wouldn't mind paying the money if they were ACTUALLY good, that's just me though
Nintendo has a false sense of value and think everything they release automatically screams $60. Then they fail to understand that as a game sits on a store shelf, it should occasionally see a price drop, but nope... in Nintendo's world, everything should retain it's value forever. Imagine if Nintendo ran a Car Dealership. Got a car that has 200,000miles on it? Still $30,000.

As a seasoned epic gamer good choice bruh lmao, at this point (in my opinion) the switch OLED and the ps5 are the two best consoles, and the only two worth getting Edit: also the switch lite
I feel like it would help the game if the field was bigger and had more space to run around so you would have more time to interract. Seemed like the old ones were bigger
the camera was closer and lower, so you could see the ball and characters better. In the new one the made it higher so that you could see the audience in the stadium
Strikers really said the main focus was going to be the online play, and then they messed it up completely. Probably my most regretted purchase on the switch
It's not just half-baked sports games. It started way earlier with Animal Crossing and other games, promising "free updates" and dropping the support as soon as the people drop the game out of lacking content. Voyan made a really good video about it recently, highly recommend watching it.
People just act like animal crossing is supposed to keep yoy engaged 24/7. Animal crossing was fien because its the second best selling game on switch.
When I first got the Nintendo Switch I bought Mario Odyssey and BOTW, so my expectations for every other $60 game were very high. Super Smash was good and worth it. I remember I bought Arms for my 4th game and I wish I could get a refund cause there just wasn’t much to do. I’ve been disappointed by many $60 games on Nintendo.
Some things I'll add, that I haven't really seen mentioned, are: - The pitches are too small (in comparison to the old Strikers games) - In the first game in the series, on the GameCube, they had two character models for the goalkeeper.. 17 or so years later, they don't give us more, but rather less; only one goalie, who is crap in goal btw, like Wood mentioned - Why is it you could choose your team's formation and tactics/playstyle back in the older games, but not in this one. Again, lack of effort and polish Nintendo Such a shame because this was one of my most anticipated games since it was announced in the February Direct, and no amount of free updates/dlc will really tackle the issues I've mentioned above, unfortunately. Finally, the gameplay just simply isn't as fun as the GameCube version imo, that game is tonnes of fun.
The goalie is bad if you know which button combo you need to press in the right time as mentioned in the tutorial. This game has a way too complicated button scheme
I mean, I'm still having fun with this game, price tag didn't really matter to me cause it was a gift from a friend, but I admit I'd rather have the Gamecube game on my switch than this one
I screamed with excitement when Strikers Battle League was announced, and I was calling it “Game of the Year” already…. Saw the roster….Saw the content amount….And I decided I will pass until they make it a complete game…
They neeeeed a career mode or something. Some mode where you unlock characters. Something at least not just 5 cup battles that took like 45 min to complete
That's why I loved Mario Sports Mix on the wii! There were so many collectible characters including colour variations which gave it so much replayability. I'd recommend it to anyone :)
Some things id add to the game to make it feel more flushed out: 1. 4 player online 2. Bigger playing field 3. More characters 4. A story mode that lets you unlock characters for progression 5. Stage hazards 6. Make stadiums more distinct, theyre literally all the same rn
@@randalwalker6957 true, but the gameplay of Strikers is actually masterfull in comparison to Fifa. And the players in Fifa are also randomly generated most of the times.
This game was the downfall of one of my all time favorite games... 😭 There's no story mode, no unlockable characters, side kicks were removed, the item system is bad, stadiums lack an identity, the character roaster is just very short, the online mode is really really bad, unique main character items were removed, and the fact that each side kick previously had a very unique super kick that could be triggered anytime and a unique dodge maneuver when having the ball was what fascinated me the most as a kid is nonexistent in this game is just disappointing. It's just feels so empty... There's nothing to enjoy 💔
Charged was fun but it was really chaotic and unbalanced. Not just for competitive, for casual matches as well it always felt unbalanced and so many goals just came from nowhere.
The difference with Halo Infinite, is that Halo Infinite is free, so them updating as they go isn’t really that bad imo. They just made the mistake of not referring it to as a ‘beta’ or something. You only pay for the campaign, and the Halo Infinite campaign is actually really good and worth the price they charge.
The decisions they are making for multiplayer over time aren't exactly all that crash hot either. Campaign is alright. Not at all comparable to other halo campaigns mind you.
@@miragenite1 the campaign is very good. It's say 3rd best Halo, behind 2 & 3. It's also only £30 for the Infinite campaign, and it's a full game, not watered down.
I disagree, they charged as much for a full game for just the campaign. Only now they have an excuse for releasing a half finished game and monetizing it aggresively. If you are a halo fan, this new model was only a big downgrade and a slap in the face.
Great video! I was really excited about this game initially as I had loved the previous ones, but I recently learned about the lack of content and decided not to purchase it. It is really unfortunate that this is becoming a trend with many of Nintendo's sports games. I'd rather they delay the game a bit and make sure it is a complete package. I get the feeling Next-Level Games was possibly rushed by Nintendo to get the product out the door for an early summer release. I mean, even Strikers Charged had a Mission Mode to add an extra single-player option. I actually wanted a new Mario Baseball game on Switch, but now I'm a bit hesitant that it might just be another half-finished game like the others.
I agree. They come out and are expensive fully priced games and barely have any content then are drizzle fed content by updates. Which also makes the physical pointless since most of the game wont be on the damn cart. It’s a nightmare and i’m not buying them until Nintendo makes a complete sports game at launch.
It's more annoying that the games barely get support and are still low on content. Mario Golf in particular is so cheap on content that they stopped support not even half a year later. They stopped making free updates 5 months later and it's STILL barebones.
@@staticshock4239 I bought it used for $20 after all the DLC came out. Honestly, that's all it's worth at best. It's fun if you like golf but other than that if you don't like golf games it's just not worth it for most, even at $20. Same for Strikers, I'll maybe get it if they update it and probably used to play with some friends. Such a shame.

If you have a Wii there was Mario Sports Mix and it had like 5 sports for under 60 bucks back in the day Nintendo realized they could make more money selling separately for more moneub
I've been thinking about this for years. They did release something called Mario Sports Mix before, where it was multiple sports games in one bundle. Maybe they should start doing that. It's not that these sports games are terrible either, Mario Golf Super Rush, Mario Strikers Battle League, and Mario Tennis Aces are all pretty fun, but at $60 a pop it's rough to justify them. But I would gladly pay the $60 to have them all in one.
I love how Nintendo charges 60$ for a game like this, but charge 30$ for something like Metroid Prime remastered, one of the best looking switch games.
It just baffles me how they put it at such a high price expecting it would sell well. They obviously know it isn't on par with games such as breath of the wild, super mario odyssey, mario kart 8 deluxe etc.
Thank you for making a video on this!!! I'm tired of seeing overpriced switch games that just slap on mario or say it is a Wii sports sequel so they can sell it for £50.
@@dlz8452 Well other people bought those half assed games. All the Switch sports games sell 2-3m copies. Til it sell less that Nintendo will not stop doing this.
I feel this for almost every Mario game, the prices are way to high for what we are getting, these Mario sports and party games should be 40$ maximum, with frequent sales, which also isn't the case for these games...
This has been my biggest complaint with the Switch, I LOVE it but can't continue to pay $60 for games I missed the first time or simply want to replay but don't have that console. This is why the steam deck is so great for me now. Minus Nintendo First party games I can buy older games from the Xbox 360 era for dirt cheap and play them in handheld ! P.S. So happy for a successful move to help your mental stability AND having a studio that can display your collection like that is just amazing 👏 😍
Exactly. The games come out at $60 and never drop in price unless it's a black Friday sale. Even games that are years old at this point. Idk why Nintendo is like this
I swear to god. These games wouldn't have turned out half-baked if the developers were actually passionate like the ones that made my childhood with awesome flash games (such as the Epic Battle Fantasy creator named Matt Roszak). Yes, I recall improving my drawing skills on Alice Margatroid herself and I've already identified the real differences between indie and AAA games such as the budget and developer size. *flashbacks to my past self acknowledging the greatness of CrossCode and Bug Fables*
Gaming companies have adopted a strange strategy lately-release a game 70% finished, and use the profits to fund the last 30%. Its disappointing to us consumers. Fallout 76, Mario Strikers, cyberpunk, pokemon sword & shield….it’s a scary trend that has me waiting 6 months beyond release dates to decide if I want to purchase.
Even the overrated Breath of The Wild fell into that trap. Want the rest of the divine beast, story and unbreakable Master Sword? Pay 40 bucks more or something like that for DLC.
By the way. Smash Ultimate is an anomaly, reminds me of the old days, DLC is 100% optional, the base game has more content and no filler unlike the 90% of the Switch AAA library. If the Online is free, i would easily consider that as maybe the best game on the Switch for value (i don't know the animal crosing), also, the only game on the Switch that has truly good graphics and perfomance, the rest look ugly/cheap or run like crap.
As someone who's abandoned 6+ Switch games they played, I agree that the price ranges of these games is too much. $80 for each game in Australia or $60 USD isn't worth it for the content. I was personally excited by the announcement only now to wait until it goes cheap to buy so I have it for my collection just play once a month. Including the announcements from the mini direct, there are 7 or 8 games, I'll rather play now or when they're released bc they seem to have/have more content than this.
First of all, wow that wall is cool. Definitely something I want to put up when I have my own place. My games are literally coming off the wall and I’ve had to start storing them under my bed. I just got the bookshelf a year ago! Secondly, I agree with the message. I feel like Nintendo should wait if the game isn’t done. We are fine with delays. Another thing that sucks is that these updates will not be on the cartridge, so people in 10 years who play the game for the first time (assuming by then the switch servers are shut down) will be unable to download new content. It sucks.
A quick hack for while you wait for the acoustic foam: place thick, fluffy blankets around you, just outside of the camera's view. Put them on the floor, hang them on the walls, basically create a blanket fort just out of view. It'll do wonders.
These are some things I would add: - Add every character from the old games along with some new ones - Make more stages based off of new games like Super Mario Odyssey And Super Mario 3D World -Make the stages bigger and make the current stages have more detail - Make a story mode
Finally a video that has the same opinion as me! Nintendo is getting lazy with Mario Spinoff games except for Mario+Rabids that spinoff is worth it on the Switch highly recommend.
I've had my OLED since March, and I have yet to see any first party game go on sale on the eShop. And I've heard that they only get 33% off when they do go on sale. What nonsense.
Doesn't matter what content you put out, I will watch it😂 Love the game reviews and the content of you and Kim buying wierd switch accessories, faves I will always want more of😍🥰
BOTW: probably 3 years of thinking, 7 years of intense development, 60$ Mario Strikers: max 1 month on the drawing board, copy-pasta of already existing mechanics (basicly a remaster at this point), probably less than a year to make. ... 25$? No, 60$.
Welcome to Nintendo’s very successful business model. The days of Nintendo being creative and pushing the envelope in the gaming industry are long gone.
The update they just released has some much needed QOL improvements (buffed the goalie, DEC likelihood of getting cheap items too quickly, made the ball easier to track, etc) on top of the couple characters and map. With that being said, it feels like, 6 weeks after launch, this is FINALLY the "BARE MINIMUM" this game should have been at launch. Like the last 6 weeks was truly the beta version. If they don't release an update soon to let us do 4v4 online on 4+ different consoles and some improvement to the offline stuff (events, more detailed/longer tournament mode, etc.) this game won't survive until the next character update (which face it is prob already done but they're sitting on it to "Increase engagement later bs"
I was so hyped from that direct that announced Switch Sports and Mario Strikers, especially Strikers was something I have been hoping for for years. I still haven't bought either because exactly the reasons you talk about in this video. I have Mario Golf on the switch, and that made me weary of buying sports games early, so I first wait for the reviews and then see. Especially with Mario Strikers I still feel conflicted about it because I loved the first one and I REALLY want to love this game, but I can't just go around throwing my money at nintendo and enabling their rush jobs. I've played the online demo and I know the game plays like I hoped it would play but the lack of content in these games is insane at this point. Thanks for this video, I hope it achieves more than my one-sale-less protest and we get some proper Nintendo sports games!
Buying these half baked games and then complaining online afterwards ensures companies will keep releasing these half baked games. It's not just Wood or Nintendo, this behaviour runs rampant in video games, EA, Activision/blizzard, Bethesda all known to put out bad, lackluster games yet they sell 10 million+ copies. How many Battlefields and Call of Duty's have been sub par yet sell 10's of millions? Keep buying them and they'll keep making them, it's this simple.
Remember Mario Tennis and Mario Golf for Game Boy Color? Those handheld games from the early 2000's had an actual story with original characters and RPG elements, more depth with side content, and more side content in general. Compare that to Mario sports games on the Switch, with lack of varied content, spotty pay-to-use online play, and trying to salvage the game with lackluster DLC, and you'll understand why most older Nintendo fans are upset most of the time
These games are just waaaaaaay too expensive to be worth it. I loved the nostalgia of Switch Sports, but the Mario sports games have just felt a bit 'half-baked'
Nintendo should start taken seriously ur content. I am pretty sure u are the biggest influence out there in terms of nintendo game reviews. Keep it up man, awesome work.
One of the things that bothers me the most from the recent Mario Sports Games, that you didn't comment; is the fact that, nothing is unlockable anymore. All characters come from default. I remember as a little kid trying to unlock every Final Fantasy Character in Mario Hoops 3 on 3. And it felt challenging and fun! Going through the GCB Mario Tennis, and Mario Super Sluggers MINIGAMES mastering all of them to unlock stars on every characters, and new courts and unlocking Petey Piranha. The first time I unlocked R.O.B. in Mario Kart Ds, or Rosalina in Mario Kart Wii! It felt so rewarding! 💙 That's actually the main reason I didn't buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch. You actually do not unlock anything except but maybe just some customization for karts..
Watching this just broke my heart...cause I've been waiting for strikers to hit the switch since it became a thing...I used to always say, damn...they should bring strikers to the switch...they they did! And I been so excited. Now ima just wait to buy it online at a discount rate from a 3rd party at this point ... cause from what I'm seeing and hearing...damn. not for my 60 dollars... nostalgia doesn't turn me dumb ...value is value ..and it sounds like this one isn't holding weight. Thanks for the warning! 😮💨😪
I mean of course OJ loves the game he’s an ambassador and even defended Mario 3d all stars being a limited release for no reason so he’s definitely biased
I completely agree! And same goes for FIFA "Legacy Addition". Same game, no improvements, and charging $40+ every year to some kid that doesn't know better. Shame on you Nintendo. Not buying their next system. They need to start being more about making the games fun and fair for the consumers, rather then all about making money ripping off kids.
There is a Competition at Nintendo, Who can make the most effortless game with no content , an sell it for 60 Dollars without People complaining- Its called the Pokemon Formula
I agree. I got the game delivered a day early and I played it all day and on actual release date I was over it. I didn't want to grind for gear that does nothing but just move your stats around kinda beats the purpose of having different characters with their own unique stats. While I loved the animations I don't play games for animations and they get old quickly when you see the same characters over and over again. I mean 10 characters in a game that requires at least 8 to be in play at all times. Why? I regret spending 60 bucks on this!
Being a giant fan of soccer played for 15 years, constantly following soccer teams here in the US and Europe and put countless hours into a lot of the FIFA games over the years, the first two Mario Strikers games were such an amazing and the greatest twist to soccer that was needed in a video game. Add in all of the Mario characters with the most intense personalities and ultra level competitiveness and these games were up there for some of the greatest gameplay experiences I have ever had.....I just played Battle League for the first time a couple days ago as my brother got the game. It lost every bit of magic the first two games had. If you loved the first two games, I am of the opinion that you will be disappointed not only by the limited content...but also the gameplay was downgraded. Just a sad day for Mario Strikers fans
Thank you for this. We can’t keep letting Nintendo get away with this. This may not be your thing, but i feel like their trying to be more like Illumination (the company making the mario movie). The company known for making (mediocre) movies for cheap that make a bunch of money.
My biggest problem with the game is that your teammates literally just stand there when the other team charges a shot or they'll follow them up the field toward your goal and never try to steal the ball or help in any way.
even the Switch system is a licence that violates the first sale doctrine written in copyright law. if you still pay for it, expect them to revoke your games for no reason.
I honestly had a lot of fun with this game but playing with my friends locally. To me is worth $60 as much as a, for example, Mario Party title is worth as it's a game that I only play when I get together with my friends. The thing that it just really bothered me about this game is that you cannot use two joycons in a grip to play, you need to use one joycon. So the other night it was 3 of us using a gamepad and another one using a joycon even if we had a full pair and a grip.
The way you described the cup game on the podcast was spot on. I’m 24, I’m not old and this game hurts my eyes and my head. But thanks Nintendo for making a demo because I played the demo, walked into my local ebgames and removed my preorder deposit
"Why would Nintendo do so well and try so hard with, for example BOTW, but do so badly with sports games??!" It's because Nintendo aren't the developers. They only give the rights to use their IP to the developers, and then they publish the game. I am surprised that you of all people are confused about this. Am I missing something as to why you thought this?
@@thesavageone8685 Nintendo doesn't make the games he is complaining about. And he's complaining about it as if Nintendo are the developers, which is incorrect.
Most consumers won't have a static IP address unless they specifically ask for and often pay extra for it. So your IP address COULD theoretically change every time your router is restarted, but it will depend on a few things like it's DHCP lease length, etc.
Silly BeatEmUps guy. Are you under the impression that Nintendo games are full price because of the amount of content in them? I thought you were a gamer not a fanboy 😁. You pay full price for Nintendo games because Nintendo says so period. It has nothing to do with content, amount of content, lack of content, how much support it'll have, if it's fun, if it sucks, etc etc... You will pay full price for Nintendo games because Nintendo orders you to. 😉
Switch sports has potential if they do a Dlc run, either free or a season pass for like 10 Bucks. 6 games a season so like after golf they could do, Old Modes Return, Baseball, Wakeboarding, Boxing, Archery, Basketball then a mini one like 100 pins Then they could go for, Explore the city, Cycling, Fly over, Sky diving, Skate Boarding
I personally love the gameplay, but you're right Wood. It is bare bones and almost completely out of content. The cups are simple and can be beat in a couple of hours if taking it slow and that's it, nothing else to do. I don't know how people can defend this being a full priced release.
My problem with Nintendo sports games is that they don’t know what to do with them realistically when you think about it and then it gets to that point where they just rush the game and don’t know what else to do and like wood said they should put effort in and then they’ll make even more money than they do with sports games
i feel like with a lot of recent nintendo games they put in 99% of the budget into how the game looks/marketing and then forget that it needs actual gameplay so they scrape a little bit together at the end
I just really want Nintendo to make a new mario baseball game (and not screw it up)! In my opinion, baseball is the best sport out of the 4 main mario sport franchises because of how complex baseball is as a game compared to tennis, soccer, and golf. My favorite game growing up was mario super sluggers, and I still enjoy it to this day! It had a great core gameplay with tons of characters each with their own special strengths and abilities, an amazing story/challenge mode where you explore different ballparks and recruit players to join your team by completing challenges, tons of mini games, and lots of ballparks to play in each with their own special gimmicks. I also owned strikers charged and power tennis, but super sluggers was my favorite out of them all.
I agree with everything you said in this video except for one thing. The thing about not knowing what’s going on with the ball and keeping track of players and stuff. In my opinion, I don’t think it’s the game. Keeping track of the ball, other players, and your players is what soccer is. There’s a reason why sports teams all wear the same thing as their teammates and it’s to know who’s who. If you’re red and you see red then he’s on your team. And keeping track of the ball and other players is something soccer players do instinctively. I play soccer and it becomes second nature. I know not eveyone plays soccer and I understand why ppl see it as difficult but I just don’t agree that it’s the games fault. Just my opinion tho
Looking at the total play times, I've put 2 hours into Mario Tennis and Golf before getting bored. $30 an hour. I have $10 Roguelikes and Metroidvanias that I've put hundreds of hours into.

Some things I'll add, that I haven't really seen mentioned, are:
- The pitches are too small (in comparison to the old Strikers games)
- In the first game in the series, on the GameCube, they had two character models for the goalkeeper.. 17 or so years later, they don't give us more, but rather less; only one goalie, who is crap in goal btw, like Wood mentioned
- Why is it you could choose your team's formation and tactics/playstyle back in the older games, but not in this one. Again, lack of effort and polish Nintendo
Such a shame because this was one of my most anticipated games since it was announced in the February Direct, and no amount of free updates/dlc will really tackle the issues I've mentioned above, unfortunately. Finally, the gameplay just simply isn't as fun as the GameCube version imo, that game is tonnes of fun.

@@masterblaster8354 because of the inverstors were so pissed when they were lied to without knowing it.
I screamed with excitement when Strikers Battle League was announced, and I was calling it “Game of the Year” already…. Saw the roster….Saw the content amount….And I decided I will pass until they make it a complete game…
I shouldve done that
Should have known better. Tennis and Golf were indicative of where Nintendo's going with their business.
Some things id add to the game to make it feel more flushed out:
1. 4 player online
2. Bigger playing field
3. More characters
4. A story mode that lets you unlock characters for progression
5. Stage hazards
6. Make stadiums more distinct, theyre literally all the same rn
The other 2 Mario sports had like all of these and was still half baked
Stage hazards is not necessary, the game is built towards competitive scene.

THIS. I was so excited for Strikers only for it to have almost no content for $60 😮💨
It has the same content as the first strikers game...
@@mario_adv2nture and back then, it was more acceptable due to technological limitations. There's nle reason for that now

@@randalwalker6957 true, but the gameplay of Strikers is actually masterfull in comparison to Fifa. And the players in Fifa are also randomly generated most of the times.
This game was the downfall of one of my all time favorite games... 😭
There's no story mode, no unlockable characters, side kicks were removed, the item system is bad, stadiums lack an identity, the character roaster is just very short, the online mode is really really bad, unique main character items were removed, and the fact that each side kick previously had a very unique super kick that could be triggered anytime and a unique dodge maneuver when having the ball was what fascinated me the most as a kid is nonexistent in this game is just disappointing.
@@colonelwatts that's certainly one opinion.
@@miragenite1it's also the correct one.
Congratulations on the move! Sweet set up but my biggest question: How do you dust it all?!
@@staticshock4239 damn yeah its sad
@@staticshock4239 I bought it used for $20 after all the DLC came out. Honestly, that's all it's worth at best. Same for Strikers, I'll maybe get it if they update it and probably used to play with some friends. Such a shame.
In the future, you are screwed once the eShop closes and you can’t download updates
worst part is these games will still be the same prices 4 years from now

Wood thank you so much for putting a heart on my comment it means a lot!!!!

Idk why Nintendo is like this
There are tons of first party games I would pay 50% off for on sale but never buy them because they're always so expensive.

Here is a thought, maybe instead of having Camelot focus on another Mario sports game let them work on a new Golden Sun.

They’re learning with Game Freak, less isn’t more, but enough to fill their pockets. Sad.
I love the new video and new studio. Keep up the great work
First of all, wow that wall is cool. It sucks.
Nice studio and yeah these sports game needed more time in the oven. Love your content Woods

A quick hack for while you wait for the acoustic foam: place thick, fluffy blankets around you, just outside of the camera's view. Put them on the floor, hang them on the walls, basically create a blanket fort just out of view. It'll do wonders.
You have curated an amazing collection. Nothing but love and appreciation.
These are some things I would add:
- Add every character from the old games along with some new ones
- Make more stages based off of new games like Super Mario Odyssey And Super Mario 3D World
-Make the stages bigger and make the current stages have more detail
- Make a story mode

Super Rush and Tennis Aces had wayyyy more content than Strikers. I’m not even sure what updates for Strikers they could do to fix this mess
Finally a video that has the same opinion as me! Nintendo is getting lazy with Mario Spinoff games except for Mario+Rabids that spinoff is worth it on the Switch highly recommend.
Switch sports is a lit game and is not half baked at all and if you say "golf is releasing in the fall and is unfinished" you're in complete denial
I've had my OLED since March, and I have yet to see any first party game go on sale on the eShop. And I've heard that they only get 33% off when they do go on sale. What nonsense.

BOTW: probably 3 years of thinking, 7 years of intense development, 60$
Mario Strikers: max 1 month on the drawing board, copy-pasta of already existing mechanics (basicly a remaster at this point), probably less than a year to make.

This video was more than enough!! Thank your for a new video, Wood!😊🙏🏻 The new game room looks sooo good!🤤
These games are still top of their genre if you like the sport
That's actually the main reason I didn't buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch.
Nintendo seems to think that online is enough content to hold up an entire game
Well said Wood.....I agree completely .
There is a Competition at Nintendo, Who can make the most effortless game with no content , an sell it for 60 Dollars without People complaining-
Its called the Pokemon Formula
Oh wow the room looks amazingly organized!
Sintendo: *60 bucks please*
I just hate how all stuff they will add weeks after isn't on the physical card
Thank you for this. We can’t keep letting Nintendo get away with this. This may not be your thing, but i feel like their trying to be more like Illumination (the company making the mario movie). The company known for making (mediocre) movies for cheap that make a bunch of money.
My biggest problem with the game is that your teammates literally just stand there when the other team charges a shot or they'll follow them up the field toward your goal and never try to steal the ball or help in any way.
It looks like a shameless cash grab. Thank you for the review 👍
even the Switch system is a licence that violates the first sale doctrine written in copyright law. if you still pay for it, expect them to revoke your games for no reason.
That's insane
The way you described the cup game on the podcast was spot on. I’m 24, I’m not old and this game hurts my eyes and my head. But thanks Nintendo for making a demo because I played the demo, walked into my local ebgames and removed my preorder deposit
"Why would Nintendo do so well and try so hard with, for example BOTW, but do so badly with sports games??!"
It's because Nintendo aren't the developers. They only give the rights to use their IP to the developers, and then they publish the game.
I am surprised that you of all people are confused about this. Am I missing something as to why you thought this?
Wait Nintendo doesn't make games?
@@thesavageone8685 Nintendo doesn't make the games he is complaining about. And he's complaining about it as if Nintendo are the developers, which is incorrect.
Most consumers won't have a static IP address unless they specifically ask for and often pay extra for it. So your IP address COULD theoretically change every time your router is restarted, but it will depend on a few things like it's DHCP lease length, etc.
I agree. I feel like switch sports wasn’t worth the price😭
why not ? they will charge you on DLC to complete the game later
6 games a season so like after golf they could do, Old Modes Return, Baseball, Wakeboarding, Boxing, Archery, Basketball then a mini one like 100 pins
Then they could go for, Explore the city, Cycling, Fly over, Sky diving, Skate Boarding
Then don't buy it. Still bitter for removing you from ambassador? Shame on you.
I personally love the gameplay, but you're right Wood. It is bare bones and almost completely out of content. The cups are simple and can be beat in a couple of hours if taking it slow and that's it, nothing else to do. I don't know how people can defend this being a full priced release.
A paper Mario thousand year door remake for switch would be so good I would pay 60 dollars for it because it's like the one game I want to play
My problem with Nintendo sports games is that they don’t know what to do with them realistically when you think about it and then it gets to that point where they just rush the game and don’t know what else to do and like wood said they should put effort in and then they’ll make even more money than they do with sports games
Half an hour tutorial for a game you’ll get bored in four minutes with.
i feel like with a lot of recent nintendo games they put in 99% of the budget into how the game looks/marketing and then forget that it needs actual gameplay so they scrape a little bit together at the end
