I have a feeling that the Alaskan adventure has only just begun for our family! Today we're sharing some BIG news with you. We bought an adorable remote off grid log cabin in the wilds of ALASKA! We literally just closed on the deal & can officially call it our own! Come along with us today as we make preps for our first trip to the remote cabin! What fabulous news all round. Callan and Parker will be such good buddies and school mates, and studying with someone is a good way to fill in the gaps public school always leaves kids with. I homeschooled my 3 kids for a year, and we romped ahead with only 3 hours a day. First thing I did when I was teaching was getting rid of the busy doing nothing stuff that comprises a huge amount of the week. Your new cabin is going to be another fantastic adventure, It must be wonderful to be on the same wave length with your husband, not everyone is so blessed. A New home and a new member, to your family. That is so wonderful that you opened your home and heart to this young man, Parker now has a running mate for the gun play and snow fights. My mother started adopting when I was in 5th grade, our first set of brothers was from Virginia Beach. My family ended up adopting 9, there are 14 of us now.

Congratulations it will be wonderful for Parker to have a playmate/hopefully a brother. I adopted my second daughter when she was only seven days old. My first daughter was 9 years old at the Time. We were on a waiting list for almost 3 years. At the age of 28 I had to have a complete hysterectomy from endometriosis. We love her as our own.
We had hoped to adopt before our daughter was 9. Because of the age difference. But adoption takes so long and so much red tape. Our daughters are closer now that they are older then when they were younger. This is a perfect age for Parker. They will grow up closer together. Today I have six grandchildren a loving husband. I have been very blessed .🇨🇦

Recently found your channel. Yay! Must say I love it. Reminds me of my younger years living outside of Wasilla. Many years of no running water (unless you count me RUNNING to the creek and scooping out buckets of water, lol) or electricity. Won't talk about the outhouse. Yes, I actually looked it up after posting this video. Mine are Mickey Mouse boots. Black ones are Mickey Mouse boots & the white ones are the bunny boots. Mickey Mouse is rated for up to -20 & bunny boots are -60. Both awesome boots for up here for sure!☺️

Hello friend! The pups will not freeze. We’ll be covering them to block the wind! and they have fur coats! ☺️ And the kittens will be safe at home. We have a small wall propane heater that keeps the cabin at 60 degrees. Kitties have fur they’ll be plenty warm!😉

Cabins real cheap or you two save real well?
I have videos on our debt free story. We spent 20 yrs of our marriage in debt & finally got out & started saving for retirement. Real estate is a great investment & helped us get out of debt. And the remote cabin in my opinion was “inexpensive” as it’s a “dry” off grid cabin without the same amenities that most people enjoy. So it was doable for us & has become our favorite “getaway” location!☺️
