Included on the 2014 album Shine On, What's It Gonna Take is an original composition written by Sarah McLachlan for the score of KING KONG, a brand new musical production which premiered in Melbourne, Australia on 15 June 2013. This song was written for the character Ann Darrow and in the show will be performed by Esther Hannaford.

+PeterMacPL This technically is the original version. She wrote this song for a movie and this version was the version that she originally made. This exact version was released as a single in 2013 for King Kong. The version on the album is actually the newer alternate version, not the original.

I like the version that's on her album more than this version. The newer version from Shine On is just piano and her voice without the other instrumentation.
