The entirety of the Sandbox portion of this VOD fells like Jacob going "That's an interesting choice. Please don't do that." And Julia responding with "How bout I do anyway."
This entire stream is reminiscent of a 4 year old in a play kitchen wandering around completing tasks on a whim while her dad continues asking her "Whatcha doin now, bud?" and she just responds with "makin chili" while hitting a banana with a plastic hammer
I work at a Children’s Museum, and we have a big play kitchen area, and this happens all the time lol I watched a little girl grab a potato, a peach, and a chile and when I asked what she was making she said steak
To have the perfect pork chop vanish entirely is the most hilarious way this could have ended Julia's indignation and outraged crawling along all the cabinets in search of the missing chop hahaha
It really was the perfect ending. Even though it's very unlikely, I think when she turned so fast the pork chop landed in the garbage can and disappeared.
Legit, if you aren't good at cooking and you want something different from pasta and butter, throw a bunch of root vegetables and a meat in a pot of water and let it cook. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add other spices if you're feeling bold, though I recommend adding very little if it's your first time making it, just so you have a good idea of what you want to add. Example: ~Carrots, potatoes, radishes, turnips, celery, onions, parsnips, sweet potatoes, and yams are all root veggies that create their own broth so any combination of these works really well (but I'm also kind of bias cause I love veggies...) ~To these veggies, slabs of beef goes really well (like pot roast) but you could also serve roasted chicken or pork with them if you don't like red meat. ~Or just serve the veggies soup if you don't eat meat at all. ~You could also blend the soup up with some cream if you like the creamier soups. Or add a little to the water while it's cooking. ~Spices you could add are onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, coriander, red pepper flakes, parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary. This kind of meal is really easy and usually cheap, like I can usually get my faves (carrots, potatoes, turnips, and onions) for less than $15 at any given store. Adding beef brings it up to $20 because it's just me and my brother so I get the smaller chunk of meat instead of the roast. Or take your veggies and meat of choice, coat them in oil of your choice (extra virgin olive oil works great) with salt and pepper, put them on a sheet pan and roast them. 30 mins to an hour and they're done and will taste delicious. I know it's long but I just want to share my cooking knowledge with anyone looking for something different or cheap alternatives.
Honestly from the little cooking knowledge I have it seems like soups and stews tend to be really good places to start, because most of them are pretty easy and have basic ingredients, and it doesn’t matter if you can’t use a knife well cause no one will pay attention to them. They’re also very versatile.
Plus, if you don't do meat, adding a handful of crushed or chopped nuts to a root vegetable soup is always a winner! They add flavour, texture and protein, and sweet potatoes go *very* well with cashews
"Hold on, someone made a mess" is what I say when I go to cook too. I live alone. Except for my dog, who NEVER cleans up after he cooks. 😔 "I don't know what that is, but it's on the floor now" is also something I say.
That last customer must’ve been so confused- imagine going to a critically acclaimed restaurant with nothing but good reviews and then they give you a plate of potatoes and horseradish after you ordered a pork chop

That tiny defeated "k" that Jacob gives after Julia leaves the pork chop out overnight is just, the feeling of this whole video.
Jacob and Julia's book of food lies.
Julia: We don't need salt for chili.
Jacob: **Kill Bill sirens**
It is three in the morning but this cannot wait for a reasonable time.
I love Julia's approach to these games - I cheered every time she threw something at the window

Let it simmer in that milk is one of the most viscerally disturbing phrases, even by Julia standards
I didn't think this would be a horror game, but the way Julia is playing it has made me more scared than any silent hill game.
"Hold on, someone made a mess" is what I say when I go to cook too.
I live alone. Except for my dog, who NEVER cleans up after he cooks. 😔

In terms of cooking, I’m a Julia, but I have such respect for the Jacobs out there
I am a jacob, I can't even have instant ramen without sprucing it up

I believe it’s been confirmed that everyone on Drawfee except Karina is at least 30
I believe as of now, all the drawfee hosts are 31 with the exception of Karina, who is 27
It feels like Jacob is in purgatory in this VOD
I really want to animate this: Julia is making dinner and Angel Jacob and Devil Jacob try to teach her to make chili
I want Jacob to play this game so bad, I want him to try to make something actually good in this nightmare of a game
5:16 i'm drawing a line. in the shape of a heart around julie's amazing joke
Jacob trying to psychically convince Julia to put cumin in the chili is very me.
Some days you just gotta watch Julia make her signature Milk Beef Chili
Not me screaming “TROUT IS A FRESHWATER FISH” at my phone😭😭😭
I had to pause the video there to let myself calm down 😭😭😭 that was so painful
Calling macaroni and butter depression food really directly attacking me
“someone wants that horrible trout! (:”
All I’ve learned from this stream is that Julia has no idea what chili is
Jacob's true surprise at 4:52... "Oh my god, that's a terrible joke!!"
"Was it 50% water you tasted?" Excuse you Jacob, it was actually 47.8% water
That funky music really put Julia in a goofy mood! Love it
Why do I want to try and follow Julia’s chilli recipe? Like what if she’s actually a culinary mastermind?
