I hate how some of the clunkiest furniture and decor in the game comes from the Tiny Living pack!! That sink is massive!!
Like a super sleek and skinny pedestal sink would’ve been great

I know!! That is one of the biggest sinks in the game! I also wish they added one of those showers from University and Snowy Escape.

@@augusto7681 I get that they’re outdated and I’ll be honest, I don’t wanna live in a blue suburban, but modern homes always feel just dull. I love traditional homes because they’re much more lively and homey. In modern homes, it’s always so luxurious and elegant that there’s no sense of ‘home’ in them. But I totally get what you mean, blue suburbans feel outdated, but that doesn’t mean they don’t look cute. I also disagree on the grandma part.
i like them both, but neither extreme is appealing to me. I like a nice balance of sleek and cozy, i guess?
I don't know why people think Suburban and Modern are the only two styles of houses lol. Medieval? Victorian? Brutalist? Solarpunk? Colonial? Mediterranean? Tudor? Cottagecore?
Like yeah you can say generic modern is boring, I agree, but let's not pretend like we can't branch out any further than that..
I feel like this kind of house would have a vegetable/herb garden which is the focus of the sim's life.

A tiny home community on one lot would be fun!
I think it would fit even more stuff if you put in the small oven on top of a mini fridge and then just have one counter with a dishwasher, so it would all just take up two tiles
You don't even need the oven purely from a functional POV, Sims don't complain eating salads forever. But I agree to use the mini fridge to get the extra slot on top for something else - that's where I normally put books. And sometimes I'll keep the mini oven in the inventory and only bring it out for grand meals and birthdays, lol.
Something that I use in my tiny builds is the outside counter corner. It is almost half the size of a regular counter, it fits 2 stools, and you can prepare food in it. Although I don't think it will fit in that house, cause the chairs should be one beside the other, but I would love to challenge myself trying this build with this dimension. It would be an honor!
I'd like to see your take on a "honeycomb" house, made of 6-sided cells. I made one with the smallest 6-sided 'rooms' basically holding ones item each with doors connecting and it's...functional.

You managed to make it look really good. I can tell you've been making a lot of different builds recently and I really enjoy it. It would've been really cute if you put in a fake garage to make the house a better shape

This is cute! My usual layout for a micro tiny house (or whatever the smallest house is called) is usually a square box. I’m going to try this layout next
You should make a two-story shipping container home, but where the "containers" only meet at the end, at a 90-degree angle! That could be a fun challenge :) I LOVE seeing you make tiny things!!

Ex: a sad room and you make it blueish and add the clown picture
I also recently saw a video where if you have certain sims 3 packs- you get special lamps that give different auras.

Hey lilsimsie!! I had a really cool idea for a Sims4 video! you can use the random number generator and that should decide how much clutter you put in that room!
I have a great idea for a video! You could maybe use the spin wheel for the amount of money you get, but you also have to soon a wheel to find a pack you can use for the whole house.
In order for sims to be able to use the oven, they need a full empty tile in front of the stove, so in this case it's not fully functional. It still works with half a tile with the stove top dishes

I would’ve painted the outside as a shipping container because that is the scale of a 30ft shipping container.
It’s actually a lot narrower than a container, because those are the equivalent of almost four tiles wide (using the gap between wall studs and the width of kitchen counters and appliances as a scale).

(And yes, this does mean that the smallest type of tiny house is smaller than a typical shipping container, since the container would be four tiles wide and either ten or twenty (or fifteen in the case you’re describing, which doesn’t seem to be among the most common standards according to what a quick web search tells me) tiles long, whereas the tiny home can only be four by eight tiles.)

Anybody else get hella anxious about Simsie moving around the TV and adding stuff and only testing the bed again after placing the stool and when it doesn't work just deleting the stool and not testing to see if it fixed the problem??? Or do I just need meds?
No, I had the same thought. When she moved the TV back where it didn't work before (still somewhat infront of the ladder and not to the side of it and not as far into the wall). I don't think it works now, easy fix though. :)
I made a 2 tile wide one as well, and it’s 4 levels! Haha My sim hates it (“uncomfortable in surroundings “) but yet she chooses to still hang out in it 😂

My sister figured out a way to put a full bathroom into a 1x1 space. Sink, toilet, shower.
You can't put a door on it, but you can put an archway and curtain.
This gave me an idea to make a 3 tile wide, long house and have things on both sides with one walkway. Kind of like a motor home or caravan
Are randomized sims not actually random?? I randomized a sim the other day and she looks EXACTLY like the sim you have in this vid with the same features and outfit and accessories and everything O_O
When you hit the randomise button they are, but when you select create new save/household, the "random" sim there is chosen from a handful of premade townies.

That's really cute. I like it. Now try a house like that with having a mom and child (toddler) lol. I used to like HUGE houses in the Sims but they are too much to keep up with so I love smaller houses now. I just got Dream Home Decorator and love the stuff it comes with, especially that toddler tent, so cool. I got Six Sims and put them in that apartment you built in Eco Lifestyle. I have it where the door is locked for everyone but the Sim that lives there so I don't have them walking into each other's apartments. Challenge is meeting all their needs separately. lol
I hate that simsie NEVER uses the cooking top of dream home decorator. You can save so much space with it

Hold the alt key and you can move objects without them slotting to the grid.

This could be a spite house! They're built as like middle-fingers to people that own land. Some guy in Massachusetts inherited a small piece of land and his neighbor was a real asshole so he built it inbetween the houses to block the neighbors window view. There are more cases like that and they're all pretty silly! :)

I used to live in an appartment that was really narrow and long as well. To make it even worse, the staircase up was also really narrow and had one bend in it that made it impossible to carry large furniture up it. Fitting in a couch cost SO MUCH calculations, both to the size of the couch pieces and the sizes of the boxes they came in D:
Every time I see these challanges, I think: “that’s ridiculous, it’s impossible to put everything in a house so small” and then realising, that I’m living on 12 square feet and would be begging for a place like this irl
You could make the entrance in the middle, so you could make a separate bedroom, or you could make it even an L-shaped house. :) I have once actually watched a video from a real house like this. It was between two other houses. It was wide as spread of the hands! and it was acually quite big (3 storey if I remember well) and didn't seem to be that narrow at all.

How do I get my camera to stop moving on its own? Like simsis isnt moving by itself, but whenever I am in buildmode and move the camera, my camera like swings further than I want it to go :((
