I saw someone described this comeback's concept as IVEPHORIA and it's so accurate tbh. The mix of high teen and high glam. Girls in uniforms but also decked out in designer clothes (they were all in Miu Miu) and diamonds and pearls. Early 2000s mean girls vibe but you can't help but envy them. You're so right about how well they pull off the sassy but cool vibe. Whoever came up with this truly has their hand on the pulse of what young people are into nowadays.
@@reginev considering kpop has become mainly noise music with a beat drop yes she did. She brought back a soft and mellow sound that hopefully some people copy
Wonyoung’s “Narcissistic, my god I love it” … my heart was NOT ready for that. For some reason my favorite part is the wooo in the pre chorus and chorus. It just feels so ethereal yet intoxicating, like you’re being swallowed up in the sound. It goes so well with the theme of the song.
Ive distinctly ignoring the noise trend is such a blessing. Thank you to whoever their A&R and producers are. Also the girls singing in a lower register: incredible. And the "woo" melodies are amazing
their producers are not kpop producers. they have never done a kpop song before. the label they’re under have done music for little mix and other uk artists. it seems like starship really wanted a western pop sound and it worked!
i feel like sonically, starship really knows how to develop the soundscapes of their groups. you can hear a song from any starship group and it will feel authentically like that group alone. ive is definitely no different, they managed to keep the same vibe and appeal that eleven gave us, and i absolutely adore it 😌 i love seeing ive grow, as someone who was a huge wiz*one. love dive soty let’s go 🤌
100%. I really respect when companies do this, and try to give their group a sonic identity, in addition to an overarching visual identity. It feels like lately groups reserve that for their sub-units, but I like knowing I can expect a certain "sound" or say, yeah, this sounds like X group.
they unfortunately failed to that with cravity and followed the typical boy group noise sound during their debut to their following comebacks. So now when they comebacked with Adrenaline a lot of fans were happy but they’ve already lost the hype they had from pdx101. Which is pretty sad considering starship boys were the most anticipated group during pdx
@@meiwr3165 i absolutely agree. truth be told, i kinda forgot about cravity being a part of starship when i wrote this comment (i was mainly thinking about wjsn and monsta x) but you’re definitely right. it’s unfortunate that starship sort of dropped the ball on cravity, considering how talented they all are and how huge they could have been as a group if they were sonically managed better after pdx101 :(
Not gonna lie, when the post-chorus hit the second time after that pause, the emotional overwhelm… I haven’t felt that from a song in a long time. Incredible.
I think IVE & STAYC sets the bar really high for the new 4th gen girlgroup. And their songs have their own unique that feels different than the beginner 4th gen groups who (almost all of them) always used girl crush concept. Now im so curious how hybe's new gg will pull it off
I actually can only think of 1 early 4th gen gg that use girl crush back during the debut and the folloeing years: Everglow. Loona was more womanly elegance, Itzy was teen crush (do you consider this as girl crush?) and GIdle was all over the place
Starship knew they were debuting a group during the Izone years so they had a lot of time to prepare not only a debut, but a comeback, while they were waiting for the Izone contract period to end. They could take their time with the production side and even prepare the four members not in Izone ahead of time. They probably had “Love Dive“ in mind as their follow up before they announced “Dive“ as the fandom name.
Starship is really smart, they were the only company that managed to debut a former IOI member in their existing group and do so successfully, I am not surprised they knew what they were doing when they were thinking of creating a new GG with two former Izone members! They really did a good job making sure the members stand out and bring popularity while ensuring they were still 100% part of the group, musically they are also doing a good job with Ive's sound, the success in the SK charts is insane.
@@kiyowu4553 Yep, starship knows what’s going on. Hopefully Cosmic girls get even more recognition from Queendom2. All Produce 101 girl groups had potential, it’s sad what happened. Especially with gugudan and DIA.
It was interesting to learn that Starship almost wrote off "Love Dive" until Wonyoung petitioned them to let Ive have the song. (But we don't know when that happened, likely still pre-debut.) Hopefully Starship thanked Wonyoung for having good taste lmao.
i’m in love with everything about this comeback, it’s such a refreshing concept in my opinion. I truly believe that IVE will become bigger & bigger with every comeback in the future. I can already see the growth in them although it’s only been a few months since their debut. I’m truly obsessed with this song & even more with royal. they’re on a no skip discography agenda for me!!
@@thitran1362 I actually like that it was this length bc I feel like if it were longer it would feel dragged out just to make it longer but that’s just my opinion as well!
With this song, I'm officially a fan. Royal is also really good. I think I like IVE because there's something in their songs that really sets them apart from other girl groups. Kinda like how LOONA has a sound that is just very LOONA. IVE is the same. And it's a style that really goes with my personal taste. With LOVE DIVE, I love the pre-chorus and post-chorus Woo part. It's so good!
@@arlo7081 big agreeance there, IVE reminds me of those two very original and creative groups because they're just so.. different. they experiment with their music production more than most groups and its very nice to see!
Love how they played with the meaning of the title - obviously love for DIVEs, but it also fits the theme of diving deep into love without hesitation. “Narcissistic, my god I love it” plays at the idea that this love is a selfish decision, one that is your choice and only your choice alone unhindered by others thoughts and opinions. Like giving in to your love. The “woo” in the chorus sells the idea even more. It has so much reverb, like you’re drowning in the sound - and being consumed by your feeling of love. edit: and the break before the second chorus! it's like the breath you take before diving into the water. They executed this song so well!!
I heard someone say that love dive is basically loving you self. I the lyrics say something about seeing your reflection on a lake and you decide to jump in with love. The narcissistic line made sense to me after that
Is it just me but literally 30 seconds into this song I couldn't help to think that after only their debut and their first comeback, IVE seems to have already established their own "colour" of sound. Sorry having a hard time trying to explain it in words. Completely two different songs I know but they both have a sound that is somehow similar. Kinda like APink. When APink release songs and no matter how different the songs are you still have that APink sound and "colour".
No you are completely right in what you stated... They have and it's darker that the normal gg group thats not heavily girl crush... Like they with such a mix of sounds yet you know it's them... I understand you completely...and another group that has an established color is SHINee and red velvet
I freakin adooooore those pauses into a beat drop, I wish it was used a bit more in kpop but it only makes me appreciate this song more. It felt very refreshing and somehow a bit nostalgic for me, I don't know why. 10/10 comeback
This song is so different and refreshing. I’ve (haha) never heard anything like this in Kpop so it’s really nice. This comeback has officially made me ult IVE.
"Narcissistic, my god I love it" is so good cuz the god Narcissus was so in love with himself, that he DOVE into a pool of water because of his reflection in it and essentially killed himself because of that love.
One of my absolute favourite releases this year so far, besides that short break in the 2nd chorus and not doing the chorus again at the end, this song HIT ME LIKE A DAMN BRICK JESUS CHRIST. Absolutely addicting and hypnotizing, these girls' futures are brighter than the damn sun its crazy.
Okay, so I was never really an IZ*ONE stan, and IVE’s “Eleven” didn’t hook me like it did for others. This comeback though??? It just…it hit all my musical sweet spots in a way I can’t describe! Like, I’m OBSESSED.
The anti drop “Narcissistic, my god I love it” main melody line has this reminiscence of Kylie Minogue “Can’t Get You Outta My Head” and I love it so freaking much. Hypnotic bassline with Wonyoung/LeeSeo’s nasal sassy vocals is such a dangerous combination
i loved this 😭 as a 21 yo kpop fan this is definitely more my taste than most songs (which cater to a bit younger audience) and its a great follow up from Eleven! It showcases their versatility as performers and provides something familiar enough but that doesnt fall into what everyone else is doing rn. 10/10 from me!
I'm 26 and been a kpop fan since 11. This song is definitely more in my scope than recent bubblegum pop songs (I don't hate them, I just don't feel like listening on repeat. only once or twice).
I'm just glad that even after being a miltistan since 09 kpop still wows me every now and again this isn't me though glitch that was released yesterday or INVU is yet.... It's the uniqueness that's in this song that sends chills down my spine
This song is insane. It's been a while since I've loved a song within the first few seconds of hearing it. The "woo" part is so airy, dreamy and almost nostalgic. It reminds me a bit of Lana del Rey her song Young and Beautiful and the feeling it evokes.
I feel this comeback was well planned by Starship they know Sakura and Kim Chae-won are about to debut. The competition this year is going to be fierce. IVE will be a dominating group this year. I love their voices and attitude. Starship make good girl groups.
@@chrislee3601 i mean no other debuting group has had as much success than ive and they barely got on chart, kepler, nmixx got mixed reactions and weren't good debuts, the only thing that is left is chaekkura debut but aside from them, IVE has no competition
Finally someone who's recognizing the way LOVEDIVE was edited! Also, I totally agree with how overwhelmingly GOOD the song is that it makes you forget what the video is all about. I couldn't remember also what I just watched LMAO.. Anyways, 'hausofteam' handled the production of IVE's LOVEDIVE and they have worked on several THE BOYZ title tracks too! They are really ahead of their game in terms of cinematography and the video editing itself. I also really like how they are able to pull off those switches for the 'Narcissistic' and for the sudden drop which the heart arrow exploded. They were so critical and clever with their effects that it just brought the music more into life. LOVEDIVE is like a nice good ending for ELEVEN, they surprisingly match with each other. LOVEDIVE is a really well-made song and I'm glad to see you PD enjoy it as much as I did!
@@limnaee1812 For THE BOYZ, they did ‘The Stealer’, ‘Thrill Ride’ & Maverick! They also do like for special merch events for TBZ! As far as I know hausofteam works exclusively for TBZ & IVE as their new chosen idol group :)
MASTERPIECE! I cannot believe my eyes and ears, I was so scared after the success of ELEVEN, but they literally did it again. 😩 I think it was such a smart move to no go with a similar sound but do something completely different because it allowed them to evade the possible comparisons. The songs are incomparable quality wise. This tune yet again feels so fresh and unexpected for kpop, that chorus is just amazing. Where do they FIND these songs? I swear! When you said IVE’s videos are elegant, I gasped cause that’s literally the word! Even this video and concept which are more playful than ELEVEN’s still feel so mature, elevated, elegant and sophisticated. I am beyond impressed with the team Starship assigned them, their taste level is superior. IVE as a project is just different, the team, the girls themselves are so ripe, I don’t even feel like I am looking at a group that just debuted a few months ago. I see why they debuted Leeseo too, she is a MONSTER of an act, to be her age and be this convincing and have this major capability to pull the viewer in and convince them of what she’s doing/saying is incredible. Ya’ll, this girl group is without fault when it comes to the girls, this is one of the strongest lineups I have ever seen in kpop, new or old groups. Nobody over-shines nobody and they have TWO IZ’ONE members... This song is just BEYOND, it’s so eerie yet seductive, so mischievous and playful yet innocent and serious, I... no words. I don’t want to even say it but I feel like I like it even more than ELEVEN which is crazy to even speak into existence because that song was the definition of a perfect smash hit. The songs are so different and incomparable yet equally good. I am just impressed by how this song still feels fresh and unlike other kpop tunes from the past year yet still retro like the current wave but not retro at all... I am just speechless. It’s gonna do SO well, it already is... I pray the girls are happy. 🖤
"Woo" part is so addictive + the whisper part in the break dance 5:17 was also really hypnotizing, like they're spelling a magic spells on me. I thought they didnt include that part, but it finally appeared in the dance break part. I already love it when the teaser comes out
To be honest, this is my first time to stan a 4th gen girl group. As a huge fan of 3rd gen girl groups, I'm really looking for a group that has a very distinct sound and then I found I've and I stan.
Yep. That vocal harmony coming through a tunnel in the prechorus and the hook was just amazing. I was surprised that the song was only a little over 2 minutes and a half. It felt longer to me, and by that I mean it felt like a whole song in that time, not cut off or ending abruptly. I loved how the other members are stepping up here and showing off all their colors, especially Rei's vocal in the first verse. I'm not disappointed in the least.
Something about the synths and the structure reminds me of early 2010’s euro electro pop and I’m so so here for it. This absolutely tops Eleven for me. I could recognize eleven was a great song, but it just wasn’t for me. This? This is absolutely for me. Slaps astronomically. I’m so here for the Narcissus concept as well. It didn’t click immediately but using a title like “Love Dive” is brilliant. The Greek mythology reference is amazing. Narcissus literally died because he drowned looking in his own reflection. I don’t know if this was the intention but I love the parallels.
Of all the new girl groups, even the girls aside, I just love IVE's sound cause it isn't riding some trend, unnatural tempo or forced rap segment, it's just great straight forward EDM songs.
they’re by far my fav debut group it’s rlly fun to see how catchy n refreshing their music is n the concepts are so aesthetically pleasing to look at too
the gaze of yujin and wonyoung which they really mastered during their iz*one era, they brought it here and probably taught the ive members. yujin put a lot of effort when it comes to facial expressions especially in her izone days. you should watch her fancam in secret story of the swan, not to mention this mv reminds me of their music video of secret story of the swan too
i swear to god that woo part is reminding me of something but i can't remember what!!!!!! besides that, this is the exact type of song that is a bside and everyone says it should've be the single. dream come true, you guys
Sounds familiar right??!! Kinda nostalgic lol but I have no idea if it's just my mind making me think tha I've heard before or it's just a familiar "**feel**" kinda makes me think of Lovesick Girls for some reason
This song is BRAINWASHING is mysterious and addicting. The WOO I the post and pré chores is AMAZING. Eleven wasn't it for me, but I can totally say this is going to be my top 5 songs of the year like Fever- Enhypen was last year. It had the same effect. I also did not pay attention to the mv after yujin's first verse. THIS SONG IS A MASTERPIECE.
I reaally like this comeback! Definitely something I’ll be listening on repeat! the ”woo” part is so addicting and alluring, almost ”siren” like, it’s hard to even explain
I think this concept is a lot more elegant than Eleven, and it suits them very well! the whole concept reminds me a lot of Genie by SNSD (another great release)
I just came back to rewatch PD's reaction to Love Dive. Since it won 2 Daesangs already (MMA and MAMA) this reaction of PD to LoveDive stand out a lot to me and proves it is a Song of the Year. 👍👏 Thank u PD. 🙏
when eleven came out everyone, including myself, thought that it would be almost impossible to top it off with their next comeback. IVE just keeps getting better, and don't even get me started on the quality of their bsides. Royal and Take it are very much title track worthy songs in my opinion and it just shows how high quality their music is. Yujin's always been my bias since iz*one days, but wonyoung really got me with how she used her voice in this song. The dancebreak doesn't even need to be explained, the girls killed it and i died multiple times watching this mv for the first time.
i love that their concept so far, musically speaking, seems to be really big, vast, expansive songs lol. i love it. eleven sounds like it was echoing around the walls of a cave, and i get a little of that from this song too. it's so interesting and well produced
ive does actually seem vocally pleasant and cinematic compared to other 4th gen songs which follow a very futuristic /techno ? sounds and concept , like you can get this one kind of feeling in many songs but theirs has their own kind of vibe now (ive).
Tbh I have been a K-pop Stan for a long time but also I haven’t listened that kind of music for a while tho . I rlly love this song and it sound like some music from 2010
what's more exciting about this whole concept is even the album is kind of inspired by the mv. the album has a middle part and the other half is upside down. idk how long starship planned this but they seem to have thought about this comeback carefully which is crazy to think given the four months. i literally have no words about everything.
I'm not a fan of them but I have to say this song is so good. From the beginning ,it catch your attention. And the vocals are so smooth and nice. The chorus of the song is so nice and unique too
The first thing that came to mind when I hear the song was “EXCELLENCY” and I stand by that! This song was SO good I immediately put it into the top 3 of the year. Now that I looked back at all the songs of 2022, I can’t say where I can place it but the fact that I alone would place it as high as Seventeen (which is also my ult group) who this year made their absolute best, world class song rock with you, and it’s a very big established group shows how amazing this song and mv is….. also, I decided to finally stan 🙃
9999999/10 the song the concept of the video the design of their background and interior. Applause for the person who ever thought about the concept really, love it
this is one of my favorite kpop songs of all time. the way it portrays such a siren song, greek goddess, love obsessed type of vibe is just *chefs kiss* it's like jennifers body meets the ancient world.
I think this song was what I needed to officially become a fan. I fairly new to kpop so I knew nothing about Iz*one, so the whole group was new to me. I loved eleven but I wanted to wait to see of their comeback would reel me in, and it 100% did. The video itself is so pretty and I love the song itself. It's so catchy and beautiful sounding. I'm excited for the upcoming stages.
for me, they can add the pre-chorus after the last chorus to fade out or overlayed for a chorus repeat so it can be more longer, but yeah the sound is pretty ive, they established a sound now.
I'm a little worried about PD...but what i am seriously concerned is about all the people in comments being like "hey you haven't uploaded, react to this and that". We seem to forget that he's not just a content creator, he's a person, he's a human. And seeing how it's been a while since he uploaded, people should be more concerned about him as a person, about his health, about him being okay, than about if he's going to react or not to whatever. Guys, let the man breathe. I hope you are okay PD. I can't say i don't want to see some reactions of you too, but i prefer not seeing a video again and knowing you'll be fine, than to see a video everyday and knowing you're not feeling well. Hopefully everything is well and you're just taking a rest. If not, you just focus on you and your health PD, that's all that matters.
I'm absolutely obsessed with love dive, I haven't heard that kind of sound in kpop at all the song is diving in my head right now. I can't wait for your live stage reaction, the b-side is really great too!!
I love how it's a different concept but still feels like a continuation of Eleven, like a natural progression while keeping their identity as a group ✨👏👏
Im in love with this comeback. Their fulfilled my expectations. I really loved background vocals in Eleven and now they did it again with the “woooo” part. This part giving me such a pleasant feel. The MV is also really good. I also recommend you to check out side track, its banger too. For me 11/10 comeback, without a doubt.

I just hope they don't grow up too quickly, they are so young. I hope they are protected well, I wish idols cannot debut before 16 atleast... nevertheless a really good song and a good comeback! Fits the current style within music, fashion and film
yess i was kinda worried when they debuted cause their concept is more in the sultry vibe? (idk I sometimes forget im older than them lmao). But even with their concept i think they managed to make it quite well, like the outfits seem comfortable and the solo scenes that could be considered more seductive are shot in a way that they dont expose too much? (im trying to explain myself the best i can lmao). Like for example there's Leeseo's pool scene, but the way she poses with her arms in front of her and only her head above them makes it difficult to "sexualise" her? (seriously ppl need to stop tho). Same with Liz and the curtains scene, i realized on a third watch that her hand is always covering her chest if it is on frame, and sometimes it is out of frame). So i'd say that while they are pursuing a more alluring concept with minor members, it seems they are doing some efforts to keep them "safe".
Damn. I am trying to find a perfect description for this. It is like high school glam but with a sinister appeal to it. It is like that teenage witchcraft movie which I forgot the title. 😭
An attention garnering intro, with yujin's sultry and pre cautious tone, followed by rei's voice which radiates "i approve you but I'll keep my guard up" then the ever melodious and ear gasming pre chorus with the background vocals which are so touching, wonyoung's heart melting voice which brings off a "experiencing this heart flutter for the first time" kinda vibe, then gaeul's killing part towards the verge of the antidrop chorus rich with cool aesthetic and then the drop.. gosh this song is so artistic, it gives me the feeling you'll get driving on a summer, breezy nostalgic day just before the sun sets. The close zooms of their faces feels like they're falling in love for the first time and the curiosity, longing, thrill is abundant, like time stops for a few moments. This song gives me such an immaculate vibe and i can assure it's one of my top 10 now.
I don't even stan Ive but this song is EXACTLY what I've been missing from most gg comebacks recently. Although it can reasonably fit under the "girl crush" or "teen crush" umbrella, it's ANYTHING but the abrasive, high-energy noice music I've been getting really sick of. It feels so toned back and refined and those layered "wooos" hit right in the chills and add so much visceral atmosphere. A really amazing first comeback and I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on them going forward 🙌
I think the reason of them switching up the line distributions is that they're aware about how certain members have established popularity already so they really want to give every member a highlighted spot and make everyone's capabilities shine through I really respect starship for that omgg they really learned from kpop's past mistakes
PD I don't know if you will see this, but are you okay? I'm not asking because I'm expecting a reaction video, or for you to respond. I just hope that you are feeling well.
exactly how I reacteddd, I had such high expectations and they did not disappoint!! the song was so good on the first listen and I was so hooked on the pre-chorus to the chorus that I had to replay it straight away bc I was not focused on what what I was watching. the song is so dreamy and so Ive and it left me wanting more aaa the outfits too omg so cute. from the colours they used, the concept, the sound, everything was literally perfect. in this mv both Rei and Wonyoung stood out to me the most and Gaeul with her gorgeous short hair and I literally already can’t wait for their next comeback already😂😂
April is such a good month for WIZ*ONES we got kwon eunbi's comeback yesterday, IVE comeback today, and Le Sserafim member teasers (Sakura and Chaewon). HYPE
The pause before the chorus is basically the chorus lyrics "Hold your breath and love dive" We take a deep breath before hitting the bottom of the "Love Dive"
The theory of the song is that it is about Narcissus from Greek mythology, where it is said that he was very vain and they curse him by ordering him to love his reflection and since he loved himself so much he saw his reflection in the river and sank. The title is LOVE DIVE but the fans realized that because of the color of the letters on the album it is actually LOVED IVE, referring to the fact that they love each other and the mv refers to the scenes with water and the transitions making effect of reflection. also the lyrics make several references such as "this is a perfect sacrifice" and the dance where two point and imitate each other as a reflection and sing "You into me, me into you ", also the chorus of "Narcissistic my god I love it " so everything indicates that the mv and the album are inspired by He

Starship learn from izone that they will get huge if they constantly including fans on every song and so far its works so well.
@@jessicajessica4392 all ex ioi members' groups failed to survive, barely weki meki, starship saved youngjung(?) by added her into wjsn
It really was! I agree with this cuz feeling refreshed in kpop is rare cuz everything is the same
My only wish is that this song is too short T_T. I wish it would be longer.
It's so good!
right, they have a distinct sound ( like loona & txt ) which imo makes them stand out from the oversaturated market.
@@arlo7081 big agreeance there, IVE reminds me of those two very original and creative groups because they're just so.. different. they experiment with their music production more than most groups and its very nice to see!
i agree!
Welcome to the Dive Club!!! 🎉🎉🎉
@@arlo7081 agree
Love how they played with the meaning of the title - obviously love for DIVEs, but it also fits the theme of diving deep into love without hesitation.
“Narcissistic, my god I love it” plays at the idea that this love is a selfish decision, one that is your choice and only your choice alone unhindered by others thoughts and opinions. Like giving in to your love. The “woo” in the chorus sells the idea even more. It has so much reverb, like you’re drowning in the sound - and being consumed by your feeling of love.
edit: and the break before the second chorus! it's like the breath you take before diving into the water. They executed this song so well!!
up!
Love this comment. Thanks :)
LoveD ive
I love how you explain the sounds
I understand you completely...and another group that has an established color is SHINee and red velvet
this is exactly what i was thinking
Yes this gave me %% vibes!!!!
glamorous and royalty vibes
i feel like they fit the cute and classy vibe perfectly, not too mature but not at all childish, extremely well balanced
That they gave the narcissistic parts to wonyoung and leeseo, is just perfect.
This was such a GOOD comeback. It sounds so dreamy, like you're actually dreaming. I love it! The mv gives me a lot of model-esque kind of vibes too!
I freakin adooooore those pauses into a beat drop, I wish it was used a bit more in kpop but it only makes me appreciate this song more. It felt very refreshing and somehow a bit nostalgic for me, I don't know why. 10/10 comeback
Maybe because it used to be done a lot back around 2015? Not sure, this is just my feeling
The pause was used to represent the breathe you take before diving!
This song is so different and refreshing. I’ve (haha) never heard anything like this in Kpop so it’s really nice. This comeback has officially made me ult IVE.
yeah it doesn't feel as generic to me like many other kpop songs but at the same time not too jarring/weird that it's unlistenable
the song is soooo 2010s pop, like katy perry or marina and the diamonds, it's excellent honestly
yeeees
Can you recommend some similar 2010s songs?
yes definitely marina and the diamonds vibes!!
It reminded me of Selena Gomez's sound back then with songs such as Love You Like a Love Song
YESSSS I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING
"Narcissistic, my god I love it" is so good cuz the god Narcissus was so in love with himself, that he DOVE into a pool of water because of his reflection in it and essentially killed himself because of that love.
Can’t believe Eunbi released Glitch yesterday and IVE released Love Dive today... this is such a treat for multistans 😌🤌
my wiz*one heart cannot handle all of this 😖💞
GLITCH my God still had a whole hold over my gay heart
eunbi is my bias in iz*one and wonyoung is my bias wrecker in iz*one jshsjwhhe i'm so happy rn
glitch + love dive... going straight to my top songs of 2022
I JUST watched both mv's back to back (for like the 100th time lol). The multistans are being fed!
The composer(s) of "Eleven" and "Love Dive" are really genius.
I think the woo part and narcissistic part are geniusly well composed..
The song is very original and unique that I like so much
Okay, so I was never really an IZ*ONE stan, and IVE’s “Eleven” didn’t hook me like it did for others.
This comeback though??? It just…it hit all my musical sweet spots in a way I can’t describe! Like, I’m OBSESSED.
I feel the exact same about eleven, I wasn’t hooked by eleven but THIS ! This is sooooo good

Same
eleven is better in my opinion
Omg an ace attorney fan 💓💓💓💓
Loved how Rei and Yujin shined! They all look so good! Song is a certified bop!
Gaeul too
The anti drop “Narcissistic, my god I love it” main melody line has this reminiscence of Kylie Minogue “Can’t Get You Outta My Head” and I love it so freaking much. Hypnotic bassline with Wonyoung/LeeSeo’s nasal sassy vocals is such a dangerous combination
Wow, I really like the comparison!
Love dive is a cultural reset
It’s unique without being messy and experimental. Something kpop hasn’t seen in a while.
i loved this 😭 as a 21 yo kpop fan this is definitely more my taste than most songs (which cater to a bit younger audience) and its a great follow up from Eleven! It showcases their versatility as performers and provides something familiar enough but that doesnt fall into what everyone else is doing rn. 10/10 from me!
As a 23yrs old kpop fan I agree. This made me decide to stan IVE.
I'm 26 and been a kpop fan since 11. This song is definitely more in my scope than recent bubblegum pop songs (I don't hate them, I just don't feel like listening on repeat. only once or twice).
OMG, SAME! I'm around 21 too and IVE is the only 4th gen group that caught my attention 💕
I'm just glad that even after being a miltistan since 09 kpop still wows me every now and again this isn't me though glitch that was released yesterday or INVU is yet.... It's the uniqueness that's in this song that sends chills down my spine
Same :) the best song from gen 4 for me, ive and stayc make me watch gen 4 group their song is really good
Rei was STUNNING this comeback her voice is so sharp and satisfying :D
This song is insane. It's been a while since I've loved a song within the first few seconds of hearing it. The "woo" part is so airy, dreamy and almost nostalgic. It reminds me a bit of Lana del Rey her song Young and Beautiful and the feeling it evokes.
This is, indeed, one of the best comebacks ever
The mixing/editing? *INSANE*
Visuals? Outstanding
Vocals? Heavenly
I’ve listened to kpop for 10+ years and haven’t heard a song thats similar to this 😍😍😍
I feel this comeback was well planned by Starship they know Sakura and Kim Chae-won are about to debut. The competition this year is going to be fierce. IVE will be a dominating group this year. I love their voices and attitude. Starship make good girl groups.
they were pat of IZ*ONE too?

Ooooo which tbz tracks?

This song blew it out of the water for me. Idk what I expected but this exceeded it. 10/10 for me. Maybe my favourite release of 2022 so far.
i love that their concept so far, musically speaking, seems to be really big, vast, expansive songs lol. i love it. eleven sounds like it was echoing around the walls of a cave, and i get a little of that from this song too. it's so interesting and well produced
ive does actually seem vocally pleasant and cinematic compared to other 4th gen songs which follow a very futuristic /techno ? sounds and concept , like you can get this one kind of feeling in many songs but theirs has their own kind of vibe now (ive).

what's more exciting about this whole concept is even the album is kind of inspired by the mv. the album has a middle part and the other half is upside down. idk how long starship planned this but they seem to have thought about this comeback carefully which is crazy to think given the four months. i literally have no words about everything.
Applause for the person who ever thought about the concept really, love it
this is one of my favorite kpop songs of all time. the way it portrays such a siren song, greek goddess, love obsessed type of vibe is just *chefs kiss* it's like jennifers body meets the ancient world.
just curious how they made bass sounds so rich and smooth
I think this song was what I needed to officially become a fan. I fairly new to kpop so I knew nothing about Iz*one, so the whole group was new to me. I loved eleven but I wanted to wait to see of their comeback would reel me in, and it 100% did. The video itself is so pretty and I love the song itself. It's so catchy and beautiful sounding. I'm excited for the upcoming stages.
Rei is probably my favorite this comeback, her vocals cut through the mix so nicely and her timbre is unique but soothing
Constantly refreshing UA-cam for that After Like reaction 👀
This pre chorus is so freaking good
Everything is perfect.. song itself, MV, concept, and outfits of the girls!
for me, they can add the pre-chorus after the last chorus to fade out or overlayed for a chorus repeat so it can be more longer, but yeah the sound is pretty ive, they established a sound now.
Yeah Rei really stands out this song imo
Trust me listening it with earphones, headphones or airpods, IT SOUND WAY MORE IVETHETIC x2 TIMES then without it!
I'm a little worried about PD...but what i am seriously concerned is about all the people in comments being like "hey you haven't uploaded, react to this and that". We seem to forget that he's not just a content creator, he's a person, he's a human. This is this kind of comebacks that a 5-year+ old idol groups would have. It's hard to believe that they just debuted months ago.
So i'd say that while they are pursuing a more alluring concept with minor members, it seems they are doing some efforts to keep them "safe".
absolutely agree
i’d even go and say either be 17 or 18 🤷🏻♀️
Damn. I am trying to find a perfect description for this. It is like high school glam but with a sinister appeal to it. It is like that teenage witchcraft movie which I forgot the title. 😭

I expected pd to react to this the same way as drunk dazed and i was right lmao. Truely one of the best 1st comeback songs ever
The theory of the song is that it is about Narcissus from Greek mythology, where it is said that he was very vain and they curse him by ordering him to love his reflection and since he loved himself so much he saw his reflection in the river and sank. The title is LOVE DIVE but the fans realized that because of the color of the letters on the album it is actually LOVED IVE, referring to the fact that they love each other and the mv refers to the scenes with water and the transitions making effect of reflection. also the lyrics make several references such as "this is a perfect sacrifice" and the dance where two point and imitate each other as a reflection and sing "You into me, me into you ", also the chorus of "Narcissistic my god I love it " so everything indicates that the mv and the album are inspired by He
It was confirmed that this song was inspired my that Greek theory.
I HATE how no one is talking about Reis talking part!?!?!? I swear i melt every time she says "you into me, me into you"
