Great video. I see that the Bihari arm is shorter than the stock PT01 tonearm. Does this effect proper alignment when playing 12" records? Would you suggest an angled cartridge for proper alignment? (And, yes, I know that playing 12" records with this arm requires removing the original rest clip)
Good question, I have wondered the same thing. I am thinking of using an angled headshell like the Audio Technica AT-HS3. I am hoping that will help with alignment when not scratching and just playing 12"s.
Just a question I adjusted the weight in the back of the tone arm everything seems okay but I also tighten the bolts a little bit on the back left and right allen wrench bolts because they were a little bit loose. at first it was too tight and the tone arm was hoovering to a floating drop so I unloosened it a little bit it seems to take the weight off the tone arm helping with the back weight is that going to cause any tracking performance problems that I adjusted tightened a little bit the bolts in the back? 👍
Hi, great video. just curious if you could use 2 pieces and play music in a smaller club? would assume that the sound would be much better than with the original tonearm and needle?
Aside tonearm and needle you have to take in consideration all the audio signal flow. If you want to improve the overall audio then some testing (and improvements) should be done on the audio side of Pt01. I don't know if it's better, worse or equal to nanoboard and also if possible just get a decent preamp (IDK about the kit used) and bypass all the extra numark audio to just go directly to your mixer as a regular turntable.
Swift, Having mad issues with my, actually both of my Numark pt01 tables.. I noticed my records were starting to get harder to scratch and actually move with hardly any torque at all.. LIKE I was using a turntable from the 80.s.. So I heard a grinding noise coming from under the plate.. I opened it up and both tables full of grease and looked like a melted screw I'm not sure.. I cleaned up the grease and still makes noise and only a certain amount of 7INCH work ... Most run slow to the point I can't even scratch.. I don't want to buy the Bihari tonearm and preamp if this is a issue with Numark Pt01 Scratch motor...Waste of money ... Any suggestions ??
the same we can say about Jesse Dean Design because he is in the USA and for us Europeans we have Bihari so its not their fault blame your country shipping and customs...I never oder anything from the USA because our customs are fucking thieves and simply want to cash in...
Toasty!!! Thanks bro for the reviews! 🙏🏻
