Hello, the Bunny sweater is making an appearance again! I love it but not as much as the pumpkin sweater, I'm so glad you took the time to re-do the sleeves
I am also glad I finally made the effort to do them too. They're so much more comfortable now and I've worn them both all week 🙂 worth the effort, definitely
Gauge.. it's a struggle😅 I hardly ever get it right🙈 It makes me feel a little bit better knowing I am not alone💁♀️ I do really hope on sucess for your husband sweater and your beautiful vintage knit😍 .. Every time I see your salty air tee I think I need to knit that. It is just amazing👌 Hope your hands will be kind to you so you can knit again soon🩷
Haha the struggle is real 😂 Thank you.. I'm certain that one day I'll get his jumper to work... One day haha Yeeas knit it ☺️ it's a lovely pattern..I highly recommend 🙂
I second the yarn weight being different per company... But all your projects are really cute and beautiful! I'll have to go back and look at your cardigan episode. That's beautiful!!!I want to knit the rabbit one so maybe I can go back and rewatch that too. Yay to using stash! Thanks Emily! oh, maybe more sewing again? I need to try doing that this year too, I sit and knit in one place.. and for hours if someone lets me haha.
I hope I didn't come across as negative about the company. I obviously just need to pay more attention to meterage from now on and not just the companies descriptions 🤭 their yarn is glorious though 🙂 I forgot to mention my dress in the video! Yes.. sewing..I must get back into it. I am feeling a bit intimidated by my overlocker haha but I think it's time to play with it again. I'm feeling very spring-y so perhaps I can sew something cute up. Yes, definitely get your sewing mojo going this year. In between the rage it's delightful 🙂
@@emilykatemadethis I always feel intimidated with sewing machines of all sorts, haha. Not negative at all. That's a pretty known thing with them. I know many knitters reference it. haha!
Oh oh, also! I too get a crazy thumb pain, predominantly on my right hand, and I think it has a lot to do with me pinching my right hand needles when I need to make bobbles, or work on another type of lacey motif. It probably doesn't help that I only knit of slippery stainless steel needles, so I have to pinch the needle a lot more, so as to not drop any stitches haha
This is true.. I'm currently knitting where I k3tog and I hold a bit tighter to make sure I go through all the stitches. Perhaps the pinching is for some reason more aggravating this week.. I'm a fan of driftwood needles but I often have to go back to metal in order to get my stitches off the needles 😂
@@emilykatemadethis YES! My cause right now is that I am purling 3tog and making two new stitches from the same group and have to struggle to not drip the stitches haha ... And I feel the same!! I really want to love the lykke needles but I just dont find joy in working with them 🥲
@@ghostpuff ooo owch that does sound like a painful stitch. My hands cramp just thinking about it 🤭 I love my lykke because I don't get blinded by the lamp light that reflects off my chiaogoo needles haha
I had to decrease quickly for my gfs sweater and it does show, i would recommend to try and knit at least 1-2 rows between decreasing. Maybe the first found you could decrease two at the BOR and two at the end and then continue with two per row. I would recommend to keep the decreases to the underarm as well. That’s what I would do 😅 just do them tighter on the whole arm.
Thank you.. you've probably saved me from ripping out again haha ok I'll try that and hope it doesn't show 🤞 it's the area that keeps tripping me up. All this fabric right in the arm. Let's hope it goes better next time 😂
Noooo not the thumbs! I do find embroidery quiteheavy on the hands as well, keeping hold of that needle 😢 hope your hands like it better!! Btw, love the orange sweater ❤
Embroidery is surprisingly hard on the hands. I didn't expect it! I used to cross stitch as a kid and I don't remember it hurting. Perhaps weaving is the answer.. or macrame 🤔🧶 Thanks 😊 I love it too
Yarn weight seems to be a bit subjective depending on the company. I disregard the label and look at the yards per 100 grams and the recommended gauge.
Yep absolutely. Once I found vintage knitting I discovered companies all have different ideas of weight. I didn't have the info at the time of cast on for my salty air tee but then I checked the yarn companies website later and saw the meterage and thought oops!! But it's all worked out ok so I don't mind really ☺️
Quilting is on my agenda 🙂 I have a lot of quilting dreams but I haven't started yet.. there's so many beautiful quilts in the world, it's an exciting prospect 🙂
You are so funny. The way you described the decisions of your past self is very relatable lol
Thank you Kate for sharing your gorgeous knitting works and for the lovely video as well ! 😊💗
Thank you for watching ☺️☺️
Ah!! Your pumpkin pulli is so lovely and suits you so well
Thank you. I love it too. I would happily have a whole wardrobe of this yarn and/or colour haha
Your interpretation from the vintersole jumper is just beautiful. You have a good sense for colors.
Thank you 😊 I was heavily inspired by another one on ravelry... I just love it 😍
All your projects is lovely Emily. See you again soon!
Thank you ☺️☺️
