Plus at the time she was being especially and intentionally troublesome because her then-boyfriend, Shane, was egging her on to do so.

They didn't even consider that a part of Marley's issues with the costume; they just made her be insecure because of her not feeling "sexy" or whatever, so of course the writers were going to make mr shue get angry about it. still a shitty moment, what i mean is that the fans know the show better that the writers.
