Because he literally only focused on Rachel and Finn. Rachel, who already knew she was talented and Finn who was the star quarterback (who he planted drugs on and then used it to blackmail him). They both had meaning. If he really wanted students to find meaning he would have focused on the ones that needed it. Like, I don't know, TINA. Or Artie or Mercedes or Kurt or even Puck. If he cared about students finding meaning within themselves, he wouldn't have pandered to Rachel who was already quite aware that she was talented and wasted no time flaunting it.

Instead of doing that and simply talking to them, she showed up without notice in a costume that didn't fit the theme at all and fucked up the performance for her team. THAT'S why she got suspended. It had nothing to do with the bra but everything to do with the immature way she handled the situation.

That’s actually a really accurate thing that happened to the theater kids at my school . They went over the teachers house all the time and some of them had dinner with her family regularly.
There are plenty of (usually high school) teachers that do this. I certainly would not, but it works for some teachers in certain school cultures. I feel like a club like Glee would have been made up of students Will was fine knowing where he lived and inviting over for dinner or a cook-out once in awhile.

It wasn't even a performance that mattered it was legit for about 3 people. Also it was for a club! Like I'm pretty sure you can't suspend someone from school for something they do in a club (unless it's like really really bad)

Agreed that was actually a good scene and she needed that wake up call. She had the audacity to blame Glee club for her problems when all those kids helped her out after she got kicked out of her parents' house for getting knocked up.
While I do agree that Quinn was being extremely immature, I think the scene could've been a little better without blaming her. Quinn was still really young and adjusting to having to give up her baby, I could understand her rage.

Finn didn’t “assault” Emma. When she was having a panic attack and the way that he could get her to calm down was kissing her. It’s actually a great grounding technique. There was no assault, no harassment, none of that. Kissing obviously isn’t the only grounding technique, but a major is to get the person to focus on one thing to get them back in the moment.

Quin was the one who decided to sleep with Puck while dating Finn. She made one terrible choice on top of the other and yet received sympathy and support from the glee club and then she has the nerve to blame them for her failures. Did they tell her to sleep with Puck? Did they tell her to not get an abortion? No. She made her choices and was too chicken to deal with the consequences so she sided with Sue and blamed the glee club.
I found the way that he treated Mercedes (as well as some other students) extremely disrespectful. Sure, Rachel was great but Santana was a better dancer and could sing just as well as her and Mercedes could also sing (in my opinion) better than her. Rachel was stuck up and never learned her lesson because no matter how bad Rachel was Mr.Schue still put her on a pedestal.
