Original toy had filled studs where those chewed up holes are, but it didn't help it lock in. Jazz is notorious for having the hood sit so high that he would have trouble seeing over it. If I had to guess, the kid probably though they could lower the hood more if it had clearance, and wore those nubs down. For what its worth, the repo labels really bring this toy back to life. Thanks for the review.

I had this toy in 89. I remember looking at the promo pics in the toy catalogue and the hood came down lower than the actual toy.
I was pretty disappointed after finally getting him. He can’t even see, it just sucks.
