No. Though, the rarity and challenge of certain items was a massive part of the reward and excitement of the game. Nowadays, loot is all the same. With slightly better stat versions of it based on what difficulty of the same instance you do and if you get lucky casino style enhancements like “titanforged”.... all for the same gear. All epics. Hanged out like candy. The ‘rarity’ of purples is gone. White items are just as much trash as grey items and the green uncommon gear at the end of any expansions story. No added difficulty required.

The choppers annoy me. I bought the alliance one and much later I transfered to Horde and now I've lost that mount because you don't get the deathwheel if you switch faction. Which is a bit strange since every other mount gets swapped to the other faction's equivalent.
Lol, if they switched that to the unobtainable mount from the Hordes side, the people who got it when it was available would feel fucked in the ass. Of course they aren't gonna do that, people would abuse the hell out of it.

In terms of difficulty it was the same. In the old days or 10man amd 25 man the difficulties went. Raid finder, flex, normal and heroic. At the end of mop they changed the names of thr difficulties by removing flex and adding mythic above heroic. But they moved all the names down. So normal back then was the same as heroic today thus making it no harder to get and still requiring curve. Gawd.

Our guild was on its way to getting the TOC 50 attempts mount (Swift Horde Wolf). Whole raid went absolutely perfect. Then the main tank lagged badly for some reason on Anub'arak and died. Was pretty gutting to say the least
I got my Corrupted Hippogryph from a GM error. I asked him to change my Vicious mount to something else and I ended up having a TCG mount in my journal. idk if that's what caused it but it was around the same time...This happened back in WoD.
I had the Tyrael's Charger mount, but my WoW subscription lapsed within the year. Apparently keeping the subscription active for an entire year was a prerequisite for keeping the mount, so they had taken the mount away from me when I renewed my subscription. Thanks, Blizz....

Well, the other problem with the 10th Anniversary Molten Core, was a lot of the mechanics for the fights didn't take into account that cleanse/decurse spells had CD's attached to them. ANd of course again, players being lazy, no one would cleanse the various debuffs because it took too much work.
The only mount i have on this list is the core hound. I queued for the raid for 10 seconds and got spawned into a raid guilds run. We wiped the first try on Garr but the rest of the bosses had no chance.
A friend of mine way back in WotLK ran into a GM in SW and he got turned into a Goblin for a few hours, way before goblins were a playable race! It's not a mount but still an interesting story. I also heard of someone else getting turned into an immobile tree for a while. Idk if that one is true but its really funny to imagine lol
I had a guildmate who got the Brewfest Kodo from the season boss you battle in the Grim Guzzler during the Brewfest event, so I'm not sure why MadSeason said it was never implemented. I got the Ram from turn-in rewards that I ended up deleting because I needed more space (plus I wasn't that fond of the ram). I guess I shoulda kept it because it was the blue one that's no longer attainable. Doh!

Boom mount was mine! He said he would just get it again when it dropped the next time. But like I said: Blizzard stopped it from dropping lol. I was riding it around with my HORDE symbol emblazoned on its hind quarters and just chilling. And this guy whispers me like a few months after they had killed it off and said " Dude I wish to god I had never sold you that mount!" Now I don't have that 8k anymore and I don't have the mount. Well its 2018 and I turned my account off with my last mount count at 406 mounts total. That mount led me to start farming mounts because I didn't want to miss out on more mounts like I could have with the TOGC mount.

I had the 10 man. Best we ever managed in 25H was 46 attempts remaining. Too many tunnel visioning casters for the PVP fight - we ALWAYS wiped at least twice. Which is insane given that we rarely wiped on Anub'Arak 25H after our first two kills.
Mists of Panderia was so awesome from the dungeons/raids to the music and ambiance of the new area, if BfA was more like Mists maybe I wouldn't have cancelled my sub so fast hahah *cries*

My Human pally has a Brewfest Kodo. At the time Epic mounts were a big deal and I wanted a Kodo. I was bummed to find out I couldn't get one in the Alliance. About that time Brewfest was going on and after just three playthroughs I got the mount I always wanted. Later I found out it wasn't suppose to be and it had a .01% drop chance. Over the Years I still think about Gregg The Kodo and have really thought about getting back in just to ride with my Kodo again.
As someone who has been a relatively casual player since 2006, i don’t have a ton of mounts on my account yet I do have a bunch of these which makes me feel a little better as a casual Andy.
i want to know if the people that had the green or teal kodos can still use them in retail. Or were they forced to trade it and get an armored version instead.
I got the Spectral Gryphon by sending resurection scrolls to everyone in my guild because I was bored and not knowing you can get a mount from it. Then one day I got a Spectral Mount Crate in the mail. Watching this i just realized that the mount was removed.

coming from someone who has been playing WoW since burning Crusade I think it would be a rather bad idea for the level squish because then it would come across to those who have been playing for such a long period of time that would make them feel as if there hard earned work and effort has gone to waste for absolutely no reason, Instead of having Levelling caps maybe have a system that has your professions, Reputation factions to be the newish form of levelling to an extent so people can strive to achieve certain perks for there work such as gear or even a bundle of resources for the professions you have and possibly even put in the old system where hitting enemies gives you weapon experience and such, also possibly have it as a type of system for each Species having set gear types for that species like blood elf gear for blood elf give them the colour coating and specified looks same for orcs, humans, trolls, and all the others but the gear is not just set to being a specific stat level could get a boost like every 5000 reputation for the faction or more type of thing. I also reckon that it would be a nice idea for tensions to be stretched between all races within both Horde and Alliance so each species works within there own to improve or diminish current relations to cause mini wars and be able to have small enclaves of Garrisons that you lead to fight against others or even just NPC based characters and possibly try bring in a trade system such as caravans players need to defend if under assault then escort those caravans to your own personal garrison that you have to take care of daily to keep those who serve the players characters live on in there own experience. would it be possible to get a third faction besides Alliance and Horde because the game is starting to get bland with the generic system of fighting as Horde or Alliance possibly give people the option to have a third or fourth faction to cause mayhem and Anarchy in the mix to make it more interesting I believe millions of more people would play the game a lot more if we had the diversity to do as we wish to make it more entertaining...Thanks for the game Battle net it has been awesome but some things have been lacking in the game and also missing sorry for the honesty and thank you for the game.Read more Show less
I have the spectral wind runner/gryphon. Kinda got lucky with a friend accepting the scroll of rez when it was out.. It's nice to flash around when people show me Horseman's Reins or Invincible xD.
Something quite annoying for HotS players during those promotional events for other games was the massive influx of bad players who would come to the game. Unranked and quick match became unplayable and some of them even jumped into ranked. I get blizz wanted to encourage people to play the game, but why mandate people to play a completely different game for get their promotional items?

I got the Spectral Gryphon by sending resurection scrolls to everyone in my guild because I was bored and not knowing you can get a mount from it. Then one day I got a Spectral Mount Crate in the mail. Watching this i just realized that the mount was removed.
Brewfest kodo was never implemented? I have that... on my alliance main. I got it from the very first brewfest when the mounts where put in.

Can someone explain me (I don’t play WoW) if you can still have these mounts, for example the palomino? It’s not obtainable but if you got it during classic did they just delete it from your inventory or do you still have it?
I remember having a bunch of those haunted momentos back when I quit playing. I wonder if they still exist.or are still worth something, I remember selling one for like 6kg back in the day.

They need to make it to where you can re earn mounts that are no longer available. As well as transmog gear

I had the white one and both drakes from wotlk. server archimonde. guild . also had the mount for the scroll of resurrection. now I look up my old account on blizzard and it has disappeared. all top tear gear from wotlk and 3 lvl 80s gone... cant wait for clasic

Haha the primal flamesaber is the only unobtainable mount I have, as that's around the time I fully got into the game. It's cool bc my friend and I grinded for it, and as time goes on, we see less and less of them and it feels rare

that skeletal dragon gladiator mount I would love so much. I like undead, but like theres not all that many undead looking mounts. I always run karazhan to try and get that old one, but not dropped it yet. would prefer a later game mount though. are there any other cool undead mounts?

coming from someone who has been playing WoW since burning Crusade I think it would be a rather bad idea for the level squish because then it would come across to those who have been playing for such a long period of time that would make them feel as if there hard earned work and effort has gone to waste for absolutely no reason, Instead of having Levelling caps maybe have a system that has your professions, Reputation factions to be the newish form of levelling to an extent so people can strive to achieve certain perks for there work such as gear or even a bundle of resources for the professions you have and possibly even put in the old system where hitting enemies gives you weapon experience and such, also possibly have it as a type of system for each Species having set gear types for that species like blood elf gear for blood elf give them the colour coating and specified looks same for orcs, humans, trolls, and all the others but the gear is not just set to being a specific stat level could get a boost like every 5000 reputation for the faction or more type of thing.
I also reckon that it would be a nice idea for tensions to be stretched between all races within both Horde and Alliance so each species works within there own to improve or diminish current relations to cause mini wars and be able to have small enclaves of Garrisons that you lead to fight against others or even just NPC based characters and possibly try bring in a trade system such as caravans players need to defend if under assault then escort those caravans to your own personal garrison that you have to take care of daily to keep those who serve the players characters live on in there own experience.
would it be possible to get a third faction besides Alliance and Horde because the game is starting to get bland with the generic system of fighting as Horde or Alliance possibly give people the option to have a third or fourth faction to cause mayhem and Anarchy in the mix to make it more interesting I believe millions of more people would play the game a lot more if we had the diversity to do as we wish to make it more entertaining...Thanks for the game Battle net it has been awesome but some things have been lacking in the game and also missing sorry for the honesty and thank you for the game.Read more Show less
How rare is the Warlord's Deathwheel? I got one of those.
All you needed to do is to log in on a Horde character. Even starter accounts got it. So it is probably quite common.

I have the spectral wind runner/gryphon. Kinda got lucky with a friend accepting the scroll of rez when it was out.. It's nice to flash around when people show me Horseman's Reins or Invincible xD.
I wanted that tiger so damn bad I ran zg every week for a year before I gave up I think it was less then a 1% drop which is so stupid for a raid drop

Something quite annoying for HotS players during those promotional events for other games was the massive influx of bad players who would come to the game. Unranked and quick match became unplayable and some of them even jumped into ranked. I get blizz wanted to encourage people to play the game, but why mandate people to play a completely different game for get their promotional items?

They should really do hidden vendors that relocate in different positions when someone finds them! So people can't just look up where the vendor is and stuff. That'd be a fun idea!
I have the ZG raptor mount, ZA bear mount and MOP transmog mounts. I used to care about these things when the game was enjoyable ;(
I actually did the heroes of the storm quest so that mean that I have that Primal flamesaber mount I suppose. I dont even play wow but might as well check it out haha.
Feels nice to know I have more unique and rare mounts than Asmongold does.
