I would love to see a video for noobs like me that really struggle to "read" these combo videos, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, am i missing fast falls, hitting sweet spot when I should get sour, vice versa? is it just once it clicks it clicks? I keep losing motivation in lab because I can never even hit the rarely hit the first combo :(. I tried both squirtle and falcon combos and was just feeling really lame lol
Will try this though as Orio combos are the only ones that have clicked for me in the past (usually due his insane commitment to detail :p ) and the feeling of hitting a combo are definitely the reason I started to main ZSS over PT. But ZSS online is just so heartbreaking so trying to pick up falcon :p and one day I will hopefully graduate to Squirtle combos :)

I knew Nair was a good combo starter, but sliding up smash? Zair? That’s just a whole other level of combos.
If you have more than a week of smash knowledge it’s not
you have to take into account up smash every moment, especcially at 0%
sliding up smash is nothing more than canceling dash into usmash since you can do that with 'up' moves like usmash and up b

All these options and online zss players just spam 4 moves :(
I mean, just try to land any of these combos over beginner consistently in frame delay that jumps from 12 frames to 30 frames at a moments notice 😅 online ultimate is a crapshoot for every character tbh

No because up special got a speed nerf; ladder combos arent as easily true as you think

it wont hit unless you press A towards the end of the jump. its a pain against short characters

3:20 is only true if they don't tech right?
Okay real question, is my flip kick is broken? I use tilt stick to input the direction of the flip kick, but I swear it never works and half of the time my kicks go inward. I'm practicing spike combos but I can never do them because of this. EX, I'm trying to flip kick to the right, I input flip kick, then I push tilt stick to the right to make the kick go in that direction. Doesn't work half of the time. Dont know what the issue is, I've tried it in 1/2 speed and it still feels random in what direction the kick goes, I dont know what's going on. I've tried changing the direction that I move my L-stick but that doesn't seem to change anything either. if anyone knows what's up I would love input
No, you flip kick is not broken, trust me. As far as I see it, everything is working fine here. You need to hold controlstick OUT. Otherwise it will go inwards. What you can do is hold you controlstick out and you c-stick in. That way you will greatly shorten the distance you will fly thus making combos at earlier percentages possible. Hope this helps my dude

oh my fucking goodness, some of my combos were not hitting at all and i realised after a long time of trying to get the combo to work was because im using roy as a dummy and his weight is lighter than dark samus in the video fuck me

Not sure if it’s just me but it’s so hard doing the Zair and nair intermediate combos. I’m kinda new to the game but man I “main” zss and I cannot make it work
Hey, her nair and especially zair combos are pretty strict so you’ll want to land them as low to the ground as possible. It also helps if you have forward and downward momentum as she can hardly combo while drifting back. Best of luck

Zair flip kick is a jump read they have to hold in on their directional stick and jump. You have to expect them to jump so it’s great for punishing people with bad jumping habits

Yeah, it would be hilarious if his neutral were clueless for a bunch of characters, but once he gets advantage he does like 70 damage or just kills you. You’re like “wtf, this is the opposite of the people I play online”

It is true. And I checked frame by frame on that recording. The combo meter resets after two electric moves because this game is well-designed.

The uair > uair > upB ladders are very rarely true, samus's huge hurtbox and floatiness makes her one of the easiest to pull it off on but on most characters those barely work at all without getting platform resets

Everyone's bad at her at first. She's one of the most difficult and annoying characters to get good at, but dang she looks awesome when she successfully completes a combo.

Because if you say Samus when talking about Smash Bros people usually think the version of her in her power suit, which is a completely different character gameplay wise.
