I am excited!
Robert living his best life doing two livestreams in one day! Lucky us, indeed! Thanks so much, Robert, long may you reign!
I will admit, that, unlike how most actors, look more lovely when they wear the elven wig, Sauron's actor, looks alot more, not ugly, but menacing & sinister in the blonde wig.
As always, thank you for all your hard work Robert.
Gandalf doesn't (and won't) exist in the Second Age for the Rings of Power - The Stranger is one of the Blue Wizards as the story continues with the Easterlings and Southrons. We will probably also discover the Second of the Blue Wizards as well.
We know the writers think they know better though
@@user-zh7th2ge1c Tolkien Enterprises would likely not allow Amazon to use Gandalf - they don't have any legal rights to use him - only Warner Brothers (and they would sue Amazon over it)
Hopefully, but I have very little faith in these clowns from Amazon. 🤡
@@timhaley8942 As long as they do not name him "Gandalf" it should not be a problem. "Gandalf" is a Third Age name anyway. As Tolkien never mentioned what Olorin was doing during the Second Age, amazon does not have to pay attention to any rights, do they?
Session 2 of "How I Met My Mother-in-Law."
The shot of Theo crying is from his Brownys funeral. The actress has put a pause on acting as of 2022. That comes from TheOneRing.
I think we'll probably end up waiting for the full season to be out before watching s2. I burned myself with my imagination running wild between episodes last time. 😂 Then we'll see if we even watch s3 if they make one.
They don't have to be the barrow wights specifically but if the Witch King had that ability then surely Sauron does too and could have done similar things with others before. We know that in this story, Sauron has taken that pouch from a dead king of the Southlands - what did he do with him?
Long breakdown!
Genuine question- did you enjoy the first season of this show and find it well written? Forget accuracy to source material- just did you actually find it a compelling watch on its own?
Please do a durin video sir
If i was between 2 and 4 feet tall and one of my friends travelled a little east and saw barrow wights im never leaving the shire. Im chilling with pipe weed and some tea and farming my turnips
I just can't get into this show. Amazon has done too much fan baiting and I don't care how this 2nd season goes.... I'm not watching it and I hope it fails. Respect the fans... pretty simple concept for entertainment.
this season is going to be good, like great we are going to see the origins of Sauron
Do you mean Weta Workshop, Howard Shore and John Howe working for the show or what "fan baiting"? I absolutely loved all the reverences to the books.
@@anni.68I see it both from the Peter Jackson’s films and the book- either relying on familiar favorites and banking on nostalgia or from references to the books with characters that may be fan favorites although not given screen time due to necessity or cuts…
@@anni.68 Not sure what you've read but those guys only worked at a very base level for the show. Chris Tolkien died and they fired Tom Shippey... then they left NZ for England and kissed WETA goodbye...then they went ham on lore. This show is so far off lore that they will have to make elves look insanely stupid to justify that first season.
@@liberTvalance Weta workshop created many of the weapons and the prosthetics for the Orcs in season 1 and you were talking about season 1. They did not write the script, they did _their_ part of the job. John Howe still works for the show. Howard Shore wrote the title theme. But I just mentioned them, because I do not know what you mean by "fan bait"? I still don't know what you mean by that. What "fan bait"?
We still do not know why Tom Shippey and amazon went different ways. There are two likely reasons: The first and most likely one is that he broke his NDA. He gave an interview to the German Tolkien Society and talked about the show, though his contract did not permit that. After the interview he left the show. The second reason might be his age. He is more than 80 years old. I am pretty sure that he did not agree to stay for the whole production at the other side of the planet. Apart from that he is a Tolkien expert, and that's why they hired him. They needed him for the script, not to tell the make- up guys how to fix a wig or to tell the camera guys where to put the camera.
What has leaving New Zealand to do with anything?
What lore? There are a mere 332 pages about the _complete_ Second Age, an age that lasted for _3500_ years! There are just 20 pages about the _350_ years between Gil-galad's letter to Tar-Meneldur and Annatar's arrival in Eregion. So, what lore? The big events of the Second Age are yet to come anyway. Season 1 takes place in a time before Pharazon usurps the throne and before Annatar comes to Eregion. There is barely any lore about the years before that.
Am I the only one who thinks the name "South Lands" it's lazy? Tolkien's world is full of beautiful sounding places: Numenor, Beleriand, Eriador, Arnor etc...South Lands feels out of place, sticks out like a sore thumb.
Nope. Gonna have to sit this one out :(
That weird monster has Resident Evil 5 fans checking their ammo.
No no no and no. I won't watch it.
Has to be one of the worst written show. Nothing having your hero being a worse person than the antagonist
It’s too late for this series now, the damage is done
Lucky for you that nothing forces you to watch it.
@@Trippster36 do you know why a ship floats and a stone cannot?!
Lol. I will enjoy it again.
Stop it. S1 wasn't terrible, just bland and forgettable.
