They’re so good. I’m glad they’re your new favorites. Super glue has been my best friend with these. The stitching along the toe wears out pretty quickly but once it’s been ripped open and then super glued it never comes loose again.

Sort of a new Blader here. My first skates were the Razor Cults but, to have a secondary skate setup JUST picked these up courtesy of Rollerwarehouse and Im glad to see I made a good choice. Mine are a grey colored Model with a little Orange USD circular label on the back above the heel. Your reviews have been a god send brother. I started a Facebook group dedicated to everything SKATING in CT called "CT Skates", I'll be sure to start copying your reviews for all the new and seasonsed skater. Im sure it will help them as much as it helped me. Much appreciated.

I was able to pick up a pair of these skates from a shop in Australia, after 3 months of searching. I have always been a fan of usd carbons.

Hi Lawrence! have loved watching you skate these carbons over the last few months. I actually found a pair on blade trade and have to see it was an easy decision. Your enthusiasm about these skates is contagious and you are right; they feel amazing ! gonna try the VII soul plate after watching your video but like you said the original plates are pretty great too! thanks for all the great content and what you do for the blade community! Cheers!

I have the original carbon 2 from 2010. I took a long break from skating from 2014 till a month ago. I put them back on this year and they felt a little tighter but just as supportive and comfortable as ever.
Just stop holes in the leather early with more bits of leather and super glue it lasted for me! Thank you for reviewing these and I hope they continue making them.

Have you ever heard of Riedell Tuff Toe Skate Boot Protection?
I came across it the other day and it's an adhesive you can add to create another layer on your boots. Essentially shoe goo but for your skates. When I heard you mention the skin ripping it reminded me.
I've never used it or seen it used, but it I could see how it could help with certain boots. Also great steez on all your royales in this, butter!

Law. I was on your live stream a while back mentioning i tore through the toe in mine. I converted that pair to my freeskates setup and it's been amazing in that role. Even got LED wheels on there for night skating. Great review as always.

Bought the Mathieu Ledoux carbon years back just after I had remz and razors SLs and I just couldn’t get used to the stiffness, they were hurting my ankle badly, I still have them though, I might give them another try if I convince myself to skate again after 5 years Off! Great content btw, just the motivation I needed.

yoooooo that's crazy man, you SHOULD go try out those carbons again! I literally came back to blading around dec 2018 after a TEN year layoff, and guess what I rode? An old pair of Franky Morales USD Carbons : ) do it man, nothing in the world like wheels underneath your feet. And the community is growing larger and larger again every single day

4everhumbl3 thx! I think I will order a new pair of skates but I am not completely convinced yet of which one I should get. I think I will go for a flat setup, I was even thinking in buying 1 pair of aggressive and 1 pair of something more fitness like powerslide next. I have always been an antirocker guy and I really want to feel the speed without all those efforts now that I am older. I have skated almost every possible brand but I am still not sure what to pick, I have my eyes on the Aeon/Seba CJ/Gawds. Not sure which one would be better with bigger wheels.

@@gatysm Aww man that's a great idea! I need to get me a pair of big wheeled skates ASAP! never had one yet myself smh, only aggressive. But yeah I totally feel you on the flat skating too. When I came back to blading I went with the Aeons after about a year riding anti rocker with the Carbons, and then the RB NJ Pros and also a quick stint with the Them 908s lol but that didn't work for me at all. I absolutely love the Aeons tho man they are great! and now I keep the USD Sways as my anti rocker setup so i have one of each, once I get that big wheel pair the cypher will really be complete!!!! lol

4everhumbl3 I spent the last few days watching inline skates videos and I think I have made my choice. I am gonna grab a pair of powerslide next 110mm and in the future, a pair of Aeon. I still have my SL and carbons for the aggressive stuff and where I currently live there is no skatepark nor street spots but a nice Blvd in front of the beach so I guess the next are going to be awesome for that!

Thank you so much for your videos! I haven't skated in 20 years but watching your videos has really inspired me to blade again. Unfortunately there aren't any skate shops around any more, so I can't try on any blades. What would you recommend as the best overall aggressive blades with cushioning in mind? I have degenerative discs so I need something with good shock-absorption. I plan to do a little bit of grinding on low ledges (if my back can hold up), and I really want to try transitions and bowls for the first time since I never had access to them growing up :)

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  4 роки тому +1

Welcome back! You probably want something with a squishy shock absorber like the SL or the Shift from Razors. I’d also get 88a wheels or softer. You’ll wear them faster but it helps a ton for my old knees.

Between the new carbon 2021 drop and your videos about the carbon I've made a rather impulse purchase and bought a pair... I can't wait to get my hands on them and then my feet in them! 😁
Out of interest which soul did you prefer on these in the end, the original or the VII? And other than the toe wearing have you had any issues? Apparently they've worked on the fit around the cuff so there's less pressure there. 🤞

Hey! Hope you still read these but, i noticed you said you were a 28.5 foot and the 28.5 cm carbon fit perfect. I have a 25.8 cm foot and the 26.4 cm carbon just feels a tad snug but not crazy tight. Foot slides into the boot with ease. And toes wiggle just a bit. Did you notice a bit of a tight fit before breaking them in? Thanks in advance man love you channel

I'm considering grabbing a pair of USD Carbons for an Aggressive Wizard build. (ultimately want the 5x80 with middle wheel a Juice/H-Block modification)
What would be your thoughts on that type set-up? Would it be worth it, or would Aeon 80s fit that build better?

I know that he has mobbed around on Aeons before, and I'm pretty sure he has had other flat setups as well throughout his entire skate journey. But seeing as how he runs 50/50 which is "mostly" centered around anti rocker skating in regards to their frames, it makes sense that he would mainly ride anti rocker setups

I used to wear carbon frees and had it too even though they were a half size up. However i fixed it quite easily.
If you have foam (from an old pillow or any sort of soft matter try and cut a larger piece of it so that it could fit without moving in your boot.
If they are too tight and you can't put anything in try a smaller piece inside your sock.
It sounds unbelievably easy to be a solution but believe me it works xd. Cheers!

Err right now you can get the new all black Roces in any size. Aeon 80s have been restocked most places. Aeon 60s were, but they've pretty much gone already. I know somewhere with all sizes of the USD shadow trimax in stock as well.
I feel your pain though, it is really hard to get skates. A few months ago I couldn't get the skates I initially wanted and had to go with something else.
