Will Sonic Dream Team Ever Release on Consoles?

- Sonic Dream Team has been out for over a month now, exclusively for Apple Arcade. Since I get so many comments asking me about if it'll ever get ported to PC and Consoles, I figured I'd do some research and try and see if we can find out whether it actually will or won't.

I’m hoping it does. With the DLC updates included. Cause it would be an absolute crime if it wasn’t ported to consoles!

This game is just a Times Exclusive to Apple Arcade. There’s no way SEGA would say nothing to releasing this on multiple platforms especially on PC.
It could at LEAST be on Mac

I actually don't mind the idea of Dream Team releasing to other platforms in three years due to it being included with whatever planned DLC is coming, as apart of the entire package. It sucks I'd be around 25 when it does, but as long as I don't get hit a plot convenient departure, I'll be fine.
True! But I’m not sure if I’d also begin to lose interest by then as well. The post-launch DLC could also wrap up in as little as 1 year too so who knows
LEGO Brawls (another Apple Arcade exusive) did this exsact thing and since most of it's content was locked behind timed battle pases they made it so you can go back and do any battle pass in any order inclouding thoes that came out before the release on consoles and PC. I hope Sonic Dream team does this if they do have any limited time stuff
If Dream Team does get a PC release, I hope it'll get a modding community as strong as the one for Generations. I feel Dream Team's simple control scheme would make it fairly easy to port some famous Sonic levels. Like a lot of levels from the Adventure games, Heroes and 06 would make the transition pretty easily since Dream Team's levels are already so open. I'd also like to see levels recreated from Lost World making use of Dream Team's level mechanics like the wall running, tubes and water flows. I know this is a long comment, I just wanted to list some ideas for potential mods for this game.

Personally, i think it would be very great if SEGA realeses sonic dream team in other consoles, PC and android. I said android because i could finally play it! 😅
I hope this game can be port to Android devices one day. I'm not really a PC/Console kind of guy but hey if this game can be port to other devices like PS5/Xbox or PC i would be happy for you guys.

Let's hope Sonic Dream Team gets ported to other platforms (such as Steam, Steamdeck, GOG, and Nintendo Switch/Next-gen Nintendo console) in the future.
I hope it comes to consoles eventually so I can play it 🙏
I'm really hoping this game comes to consoles because I would love to see this game also on pc in 4k and I also think it will sell really well on the consoles as well. Love the content as always and keep it up and can't wait for more! 😁

Interesting video! I would definitely be down to play this game on consoles. Even though I have an iPad and a controller for it, I still don't have the money for Apple Arcade, which is unfortunate because I feel like I'm missing out on something great here. Having to wait three years to get it on consoles is quite the wait, and I don't really have much hope for this game getting ported anywhere else. I'll be there if it does, though!
I feel you! The main reason I still have it is because I had a free trial, but when it expires, it’ll be a lot harder to justify the purchase since I’m only really interested in Dream Team. Really hoping it does come to other platforms much sooner than potentially 3 years down the line

I mean it totally feels like a (made for) Nintendo game.
In fact it reminds me of Lost World, Nintnedo exclusive outside of PC, so it would really fit on the Switch.
I would see it working really well too on Xbox and PS5 because of the smooth graphics and animations.
And I guess it's right to let PC users to have it aswell, even if it fits consoles/Apple more!
I doubt it's ever release for Android tho...
Oh and, if they release it for consoles, they could also offer to pay for it in Apple devices as an alternative to the subscription!
I hope it comes to console, cuz I don’t want to have to pay after a bloody months trial for a fucking mobile game, it doesn’t even feel like a mobile game. All the more reason to port it to consoles

Samba De Amigo: Party Central has a mobile port on Apple Arcade called “Samba De Amigo: Party to Go!”. It’s basically the same game with the same assets. But the controls and U.I. were adjusted for mobile. I could see the reverse of that happening. Other consoles might not get “Sonic Dream Team” specifically but they could adjust the controls, add new features, rebrand it under a new name and THEN port it to other platforms.
I’m just spitballing here 🤷♂️

I haven't play it because I wanted to get the platinum for it on Playstation ... But if it does not get released in 2024 I'll give it a try on Arcade. I'm subscride for the kids already :D

I think this game looks way better than sonic frontiers.
Jetpack Joyride also got ported on ps3, but the difference with that was apple didn't help make the game.

It's better than Sonic Forces though. The level design seems good too. I'd play it if I could honestly. Too bad I don't have any Apple device but that's why I want it ported.
