Chinese call it Ling Zhi. (灵芝)。 it is very good for our health. Chinese medicine use it a lot and it’s expensive too in china. We also cook pork ribs soup and chicken soup with it, very delicious. Thanks for sharing.

Maybe if it was a marine snail. Certain shelf fungus are referred to as Conks
Such as the Varnish Conk, Artist Conk.
