Never owned the GReddy Evo but always been a fan of it's tone and looks. I've had the Yonaka system on my daily for eight years now and still satisfied. I bought it because of the balance between the sound, the looks and the price. Not to mention the fitment was spot on! Hearing both of these back to back makes me glad I have the Yonaka. Old vid but well done.

I like the sound of both, but I'm leaning towards the Yonaka. I find it more professional sounding and not as ricer sounding as the GReddy. Also It's more affordable being 1/2 the cost. I was finding the Yonaka exhaust at $250 whereas the GReddy I was finding at $500-$600 and not even one that fits my 2014 civic. At high RPMs they both sound a little similar and I'll definitely take something that I can get with the sound I want, that's not as annoying, but also affordable. I choose Yonaka.

  • @Nathan-gj8ch

I had that system for 2 years. It started out quiet like in this video then slowly got much louder, till one day I realized I had to yell to have a conversion at highway speeds. Then it started to rattle from the middle resonator. Thankfully someone rear ended me and managed to only hit my Yonaka exhaust and plastic bumper cover. My insurance covered it all. With all that said, I can't really complain though because it was so cheap (i got mine for $175 new) I'm not really mad it only lasted 1.5 years before the resonator went out.

I heard the mid pipe where the resonator on that Yonaka catback goes out within a few years causing a loud rattling noise. Thats why on Yonakas website, they sell only the midpipe with the resonator for like $99. I hope they fixed the design flaw instead of making us go and purchase another one from them in order to fix it.

The camera is deceiving. The yonaka is certainly quiet in comparison to other exhausts, but once you get into the throttle you can really hear it, just without the rasp and drone you get with most exhausts. I had one on my 96 GSR, and I loved it because I got to enjoy the sound of the engine without being so loud that I would be afraid of attracting too much attention whenever I wanted to rev it up.

I have a yonaka catback on my ex. It sounds nice, great deep tone. But now I'm looking into getting something different. Does the Greddy exhaust have any rasp to it at high rpms? ik there two different car models and engines but the yonaka has alittle bit of a rasp, which Ik is hard to get away from with a civic. It sounded deep and rich. Was it to loud?

That Silver Sohc it has been several years since I owned this. I just remember the Greddy constantly droning while cruising on the freeway. I probably drove a steady 3-5k rpm. It was giving me a headache so I switched it out. I'm not sure if this answers your question but I honestly do not remember the details from this car. Perhaps someone else can chime in.
