That is one heckadoodle cool crawler course, and a great place to test these vehicles out for sure. I still keep thinking I need the fancy Ascent myself. Don't need it but I think I do lol.
I have the fusion and its a heck of a truck. When on sale for 299 you cant beat that price. Seeing how all trucks end up with new wheels and tires that is a wash. Get some club 5 links for the fusion, 4 Link it, and give it another go.
I'm surprised. Good comparison video. Maybe run the same tires/wheels on all 3. I didn't expect you to pick the Fox with it limited turning radius. The chassis setup and break over are very good, tho.
Stance and Ascent owner feed back. My ascent has less brass, just a dif cover up front. It is on tusks and flubs though (wow on flubs, but I'll never justify buying them again, especially with how rude he has gotten). It needs more brass for sure, but I get none of that bouncing you were getting going up obstacles. I bet the injora inserts in the stock tires might be a better combo than what's on there now, but I'd love to see what it does with a set of tusks/2 stage foams and all the up front brass does with a set of high clearance links.
Good question! I picked it up on a whim. It works around 70%. You look at a dirty car/truck and attempt to blow it away with this...and it gets about 70% of it. Is that good, bad? I think it is up to how you want to use it. Just knocking a little dust off of a drift car? It will be great. Trying to knock dirt off of a crawler or basher? Just a waste of time. Hope that helps!
Maybe I should! I usually focus on vehicles that are closer to stock - which none of my drift cars are. BUT - it could be interesting to test all of my drift cars back-to-back and see which one really stands out. Thanks for the idea!
It's all about the driver, look at what Max Verstappen did the past season the car was merely 3rd best or fastest but he made some wins and 🏆 Anyways I put Injora XHX 1.9 Pin tires on my Ascent Fusion big difference from stock tires. ua-cam.com/users/shorts_uQEUyGzHsQ?si=uw2ftE2yfOFp_Jkt
The science : The Stance is the most beautiful, so, it's the best performer.😄 Does the Ackermann steering angle matter, on a crawler ? The Stance has a strong "classic" Ackermann, while the two others steer the same on the inner or outer wheel...🤔
Science wins! :) I have not had a chance to directly test different ackerman in crawlers - but my understanding is that more open ackerman that Stance has does help pull the truck around corners better. That being said...the Redcat has a better turning radius. :)
Glad to see the comp fox!
It was a pain to build - but has been solid ever since!

Of course you do! :)

I may do some more mods to the Ascent. Just saw DSM off road teasing a whole new chassis layout for it. Could be interesting!
There’s no way the fox beats the stance! Need a more proper review
Tell me why you think so!
cool mate battle of the crawlers looks great fun
🥸fully viewed🤖Au🦘☑thumbs up👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Yessss love this!
Thank you!

Yeah - the turning radius was a pain...but I'm not against backing up to get a better angle. :)
Seems a smaller impact vs the bottoming-out, etc.
@RoadsideRC Agreed.
MEUS with CAPRA !!!
What are these inserts you keep talking about? I kind of look through your videos to see if I could find more Thank you very much.
Hi there! Here are the inserts that are in the Stance tires: ua-cam.com/video/mS5H9Pm1cgw/v-deo.html
00:30 What model / body is that nice Hyundai Cup Touring Car in the background? Would appreciate an info about it :)
Hi there!
That is my Sakura D6 drift car. It has an HPI Mach-E 1400 body on it with my RoadsideRC livery set.

Noticed the blue air blower on your bench. Tell us more about it. I'm in the market for one

@RoadsideRC I usually need to blast sand off. But yes, washing it still best.
Will we get a similar head to head vid but with several drift cars?
Maybe I should!

@RoadsideRC no probs. I came across your channel because of the Yokomo RD 1.0 review. Really like watching your rc drift vids

I tried to limit the comparison clips to eliminate as much of the driver influence as possible.
But in the real world - you are right!

Element is so quiet now. I hated the sound of that Hobbywing you had in it......I think The Redcat would be amazing with a better set of tyre's.
Agree - the Redcat has more potential!
The Hobbywing was noisy due to tight gear mesh - just FYI
