Went to college in Socorro from June 1966 to December 1968. I loved it out there, it was beautiful! The air was so clear. New Mexico Tech was a good school but I majored in partying and became a musician.
More awesome stuff! Thanks, Adam. I've been all over the U. S. Was stranded at Cline's Corners in New Mexico on the 40 between Santa Rosa and Albuquerque a few years ago, coming back from my mom's in Nebraska with a UHaul. The people at Cline's Corners hosted over 200 stranded patrons at the restaurant/gift shop over night. Never forgot their hospitality.
I used to live in and around Socorro for a few years.. El Camino Restaurant is the best! Also spent some quality time in “T or C” (as its known) soaking in the hot springs. ALMOST makes me miss New Mexico.. haha!
Thanks for sharing another amazing video and for taking us along with you! I love seeing the beautiful state I was born in! My parents had a station wagon like that one! You should visit Grants and Milan while you're there! God bless
T or C was originally called Hot Springs but changed it to Truth or Consequences as the result of a radio game show promotion. Hey Cody, good to see you!
Jay ONeill that’s also the town where everyone knew the toy box killer was abducting women and fucking them in his trailer. Cops, the local bar, and lots of others were all in on it.
Truth or Consequences was a TV game show from the 50's hosted by Ralph Edwards. They had a contest to any town that would change their town name they would broadcast the show from that town. So Hot Springs, New Mexico accepted the offer and changed the name. And every year from then until 1998 Ralph Edwards would return to Truth or Consequences and would be the annual Ralph Edward days parade marshal.
In March 1950, Ralph Edwards, the host of the popular NBC Radio quiz show Truth or Consequences, announced that he would air the program on its 10th anniversary from the first town that renamed itself after the show; Hot Springs officially changed its name on March 31, 1950, and the program was broadcast from there the following evening. Edwards visited the town during the first weekend of May for the next 50 years.
I love your shirt Adam! I still have my original Incesticide shirt from '92 but mine is black not green. I wish someone had told me that those band shirts were an investment, they were around $20 at music shops at that time. Out of curiosity, I looked up the Nirvana one on eBay and it's like $500 !! I'd never part with it, but man, if I still had all my band shirts I could go into early retirement lol
Loved it! The murals the cars the vintage advertising signs ! I do wonder Adam when I watch your vlogs where all the people are ? you never see another soul. America is such a huge country with plenty of space to roam free how lucky you are. :) What will tomorrows vlog bring I wonder ? Stay safe :)
Dude! Adam The Woo! I have been to that very spot you guys were at in 2008!! I was moving back to Florida from California. That’s so awesome! What’s funny is it was the old rusty Buick that sent my memory back! I have a photo of that somewhere in a file and I’m going to search for it! What are the chances of that?!?!? So random! Love the videos bro! Take care! -Josh

The resturant in Hatch where all the sculptures are. The owner is a collector of all types of advertising antiques. After people began seeing his collection began donating more sculptures and its just snowballed from there. The same guy also owns that RV dealership. You guys didn't say if you tried Sparky's. They have great green chili cheeseburgers and their shakes are awsome. Great video
ah yes, the Land of Entrapment. uh oops, Enchantment. I grew up on the foothills of the Watermelon Mountains in the Duke City. Tramway and Montgomery. watching you explore NM brings back the road-trip memories of Ghost Town Hunting and Dr. Pepper and Black Licorice for Road Treats....I don't think my dad like us, much.
If you could go back in time and se the people come there and had some gas and talk would be so nice..so much history in every gas station.....imagine standing there in the 40s 50s 60s 70 ect...se all old car pass by....then we talk about cars not todays car that all look the same then at that time we talk cars.:)...Not only old gas station but all old buildings the history and people......Great video as usual Adam...:)

All those awesome fiberglass statues, and then random washtub with cinderblock. There must be a story. And I bet it’s a good one.
Now that was a classic car! Still sounds great! lol Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?! lol
Memories of the show Fraggle Rock, who else remembers it ???
I lived in Albuquerque, I've never been to fragle rock. Didn't know it was there. Course thatwas back in the 70s

Love the intro of the trains! I live in Indiana , home of many train crossings and being “railroaded”
strglitter crappy thing about Elkhart so many trains
The figures on top of that burger joint give me the impression that it may have been an A&W at one time!
